[edit] Emergence of the Hudnar

Hudnar society first appeared on Hukt in approximately the year -32. They quickly aligned themselves into 154 warring clan-factions spanning much of Hukt. None of these initially made much progress, but the Ak clan eventually began to take over, as their genetics were superior and they found many ancient Kruktur artifacts, which some Hudnar scholars believe were intended by Zakruktur to be found by his own clan, the Ak. The Zavar, or "great lord," of the Ak clan, Ak, and his armies began to conquer many other clans, and some clans willingly joined him. Ak was then crowned the first and only Zahudnar of the Ak Dominions and continued his campaigns for several years. In the year -1, Ak conquered the last of the Hudnar clans, the Psor clan, and was given the name Kruknar, meaning roughly "Unifier." The Hudnar were now united under the banner of the Ak Dominions.

The Hudnar played a very small role in the actual battles of the War of Legends; however, the attack on the Hudnar by the Fulna was what prompted the Kruktur to stop the Fulna invasion of the universal chain. For the duration of the war, the Hudnar relied on Kruktur protection against their attackers, who were highly superior to the Hudnar in terms of technology. The Hudnar did battle Psarktur in the Second Battle of Hukt, but the only reason they prevailed in this battle was that they were "given Zakruktur's mighty protection and defenses," as a Hudnar legend states, during this battle. After the war, it is said that the Kruktur helped Kruknar to organize the Hudnar Empire, though the truth of this is unverified.

[edit] The Hudnar Planetoid Wars

Once the Hudnar Empire was formed, it expanded by sending massive "planetoids" through hyperspace to remote worlds. Since hyperspace travel is relatively slow on a universal scale, it took several thousand years for the Hudnar to conquer even central Kurhakt.
