Admiral Ignacious Fuseli is the current Chief Commandant of the Crimson Armada, and retired Admiral of the Armada's First Fleet. His rank of Admiral makes him the most superior member of the Armada, although the position is primarily ceremonial since Fuseli's retirement. Commander Dax Argent is the highest ranking active officer, but Fuseli has a great deal of input into Armada operations.
Fuseli was born in Asgard several decades before the Great Upheaval, and raised by his father after his mother died giving birth to his younger brother.
