Do you hate editing in VI?
Well, some of us hate it.
In looking through the YUM (need page and citation) list, you'll find that Midnight Commander is available. It's a decent editor and file manager that's simple to use and works well on the XO. Especially when hacking various config and copying deleting and other such file activities.
To install follow these instructions
1. Open the Terminal activity
2. At the prompt, type 'su' to enter SuperUser mode
3. type 'yum install mc' and enter
4. To invoke in the future, open Terminal activity and type 'mc' at any prompt.
NOTE: If you install any OS updates/upgrades... you will need to re-install 'mc' (or any other 'yum' packages).
