Interplanetary Merchant League in the New Universe

The Interplanetary Merchant League with it's corporations is still the leading economic power in the United Republic of Earth (see also United Republic of Earth in the New Universe). In 3190 N.E., it negotiated a deal with the Independent Horsehead Empire and the Golems (see also Golem space in the New Universe) to the creation of a politically independent Corporate Sector under control of League corporations in order to bolster the local economies of the worlds and solar systems of said sector. The agreement with the Independent Horsehead Empire and the Golems dictated that the League give 25 percent of the industrial output to the Golems and another 25 percent to the Independent Horsehead Empire. The deal will be up for renewal in the year 3450 N.E., or the territory of the Corporate Sector will revert to it's original owners if not renewed at that future date.
