Transcript

  • (We open this episode with the Season 6 intro, and finally the start of Jack Frost)
  • Alec Baldwin: It was an icy day on the Island of Sodor. The engines were working very hard. They didn't mind the cold because they had toasting hot fireboxes to keep them warm. That evening, Sir Topham Hatt came to the sheds.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: There's a big freeze coming tonight.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: James and Percy are to deliver extra coal to the stations.
  • James and Percy: Yes sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: They said eagerly and Sir Topham Hatt drove away.
  • Thomas: You better hurry.
  • Alec Baldwin: Teased Thomas.
  • Thomas: Or scary Jack Frost might get you.
  • Percy: Who's Jack Frost?
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy whistled nervously.
  • James: Don't be so silly.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sniffed James.
  • James: Jack Frost is not scary.
  • Thomas: Yes he is.
  • Alec Baldwin: Teased Thomas.
  • Thomas: He's all white with a big spiky face.
  • James: Rubbish!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said James. James knew Jack Frost wasn't scary, but poor Percy wasn't so sure. Percy shivered.
  • Percy: Jack Frost is not scary, Jack Frost is not scary, Jack Frost is not scary.
  • Alec Baldwin: Meanwhile, James puffed along his route.
  • James: Silly Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: He thought.
  • James: All steamed up over Jack Frost.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy made his last delivery. The stationmaster was very pleased to see him.
  • Stationmaster: Oh, Percy.
  • Alec Baldwin: He cried.
  • Stationmaster: We need twice as much coal to last through this freeze.
  • Percy: Don't worry.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy said.
  • Percy: This is my last stop, you can have mine.
  • Alec Baldwin: So Percy's driver parked him in a siding with only a lantern for company.
  • Percy: Do you think scary Jack Frost will find me?
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy.
  • Percy's Driver: Jack Frost not scary.
  • Alec Baldwin: Chuckled his driver.
  • Percy's Driver: And don't worry Elizabeth will bring you some more coal in the morning.
  • Alec Baldwin: And then his driver and fireman went home to bed. Late at night, the icy wind howled. It started to snow. Soon, Percy's face was so cold, an icicle hung from his nose.
  • Percy: Oh, b-b-b-b-bother.
  • Alec Baldwin: Percy stuttered, but it didn't sound like Percy. It was so cold, he could hardly make a sound. At last, James was on his way back to the sheds. In the fog, he saw shadows and strange and scary shapes.
  • James: Scary Jack Frost.
  • Alec Baldwin: He whispered nervously.
  • James: Pah!
  • Percy: Hello, J-J-J-J-James.
  • Alec Baldwin: Muttered Percy icily.
  • James: Scary Jack Frost!
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried James and he raced away as fast as his wheels could carry him. He didn't stop until he got back to the sheds. The next morning, Elizabeth brought plenty of coal.
  • Elizabeth: Oh my dear.
  • Alec Baldwin: Elizabeth chuffed to Percy.
  • Elizabeth: It looks like Jack Frost really got you.
  • Alec Baldwin: The firelighter started Percy's fire. Soon, his ice mask melted away.
  • Percy: So scary Jack Frost is only frost.
  • Alec Baldwin: Tooted Percy happily and soon he was as warm as toast. When Percy arrived at the sheds, James was bragging to the other engines.
  • James: I saw scary Jack Frost last night.
  • Alec Baldwin: James huffed.
  • James: He even knows my name.
  • Percy: He also knows that you ran away.
  • Alec Baldwin: Teased Percy and all the engines whistled including James. But Percy's was the loudest whistle of all.
  • (A passing by sequence occurs and we begin The Snow Song)
  • Children: (singing) You wake to the silence the bright afterglow. Now there's a surprise for what do you know. It's snowing. Look, it's snowing. Little Jack Frost has been busy last night. The Island of Sodor is a blanket of white 'Cause it's snowing. Yes, it's snowing. White winter wonderland. Beautiful day. Snow, snow, snow, snow. Snow, snow, snow, snow. There in the valley someone you'll know. The little blue train finds his way through the snow. Whistle blowing. Yes, it's snowing. It's a beautiful world; It's a lovely day. Cherish this moment, remember this day 'Cause it's snowing. Yes, it's snowing. White winter wonderland. Beautiful day. Snow, snow, snow, snow.
  • (Children laughing)
  • Children: (singing) White winter wonderland. Beautiful day. Snow, snow, snow, snow. Snow, snow, snow, snow. Stay, stay, please stay.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin The World's Strongest Engine)
  • Alec Baldwin: The engines on the Island of Sodor liked feeling responsible, reliable and really useful. They worked hard to compete their jobs on time. They don't like confusion and delay. But the troublesome trucks delighted mischief and their mischief causes trouble as poor Henry found out.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Henry has had an accident and been sent for repairs.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: There are no other engines available. So Diesel will help until Henry returns.
  • Engines: Yes sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed the engines, but they weren't happy. The engines didn't like Diesel he was always being rude and always showing off.
  • Percy: I hope Henry's mended soon.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy.
  • Thomas: He moves more trucks than three Diesels put together.
  • Alec Baldwin: Agreed Thomas.
  • Gordon: Trucks are no one's friends.
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed Gordon. The next day, Diesel was working at the docks.
  • Diesel: When Sir Topham Hatt sees how good I am.
  • Alec Baldwin: He bragged to the trucks.
  • Diesel: He'll get rid of steam engines once and for all.
  • Alec Baldwin: This gave the troublesome trucks an idea. As Diesel was shunting them together, they started to sing.
  • Troublesome Trucks: (singing) Is that all you can haul, Henry loads are longer, is that all you can haul, Henry must be stronger.
  • Alec Baldwin: Diesel was cross. He was sure to be stronger than Henry.
  • Diesel: I'll push you all at the same time.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said. The trucks giggled.
  • Troublesome Trucks: (singing) Push us all, that's the longest, push us all, you'll be the strongest.
  • Diesel: That's me.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Diesel.
  • Diesel: The world's strongest engine.
  • Alec Baldwin: And Diesel shunted five trucks together, then ten, then fifteen. Soon he had an enormous line of twenty trucks.
  • Percy: What's Diesel doing?
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried Percy.
  • Thomas: He thinks he's the world's strongest engine.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied Thomas. Diesel didn't know the shunters have the brakes on the trucks. The troublesome trucks knew, but encouraged Diesel to push anyway.
  • Troublesome Trucks: Push, push, push!
  • Alec Baldwin: Diesel pushed and he pushed and he pushed, but the trucks didn't move. So Diesel decided to pull the trucks instead.
  • Troublesome Trucks: (singing) Heave ho, heave ho, you can pull but we wont go.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sang the trucks. This made Diesel very cross. He pulled and he pulled and he pulled.
  • Diesel: Help!
  • (Diesel
  • Diesel: Grease and oil!
  • Alec Baldwin: Diesel sulked as the trucks laughed and laughed. Sir Topham Hatt looked down crossly at Diesel.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I thought you would be a proper dockyard diesel, but I was wrong.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Can you make up for lost time, Henry?
  • Henry: Oh yes, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Henry replied happily. He backed up to the trucks and the shunters released the brakes. Then Henry pulled away as easy as pie and the engines cheered. Diesel was sent home in disgrace, but the engines had learned a lesson.
  • Thomas: Even troublesome trucks can do you a favor sometime.
  • Alec Baldwin: Chuffed Thomas.
  • Percy: Like getting rid of a smelly old Diesel.
  • Alec Baldwin: Puffed Percy.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Sir Topham Hatt)
  • (Gordon's whistle toots)
  • Children (singing): His name is Sir Topham Hatt. Some people say he's - Stout!! Rather rotund, really quite round. But he doesn't see it like that.
  • Girl: He's considered he's a gentleman of merit.
  • Boy: With a railway exquisitely fine.
  • Children: (singing) But his main aim is to see that his trains run right on time. Sir Top, Sir Topham Hatt. He's the head of the railway. There is no doubt about that controller of the line. It's as plain as plain can be for everyone to see that it's the fat controller's railway. One day he was having breakfast, when Thomas decided to call. He arrived unexpected and quite uninvited straight through the dining room wall.
  • Boy: My goodness! Said the controller. Why didn't you knock at the door?
  • Children: (singing) This won't do at all just look at my wall and my breakfast on the floor. Sir Top, Sir Topham Hatt. He's the head of the railway there is no doubt about that controller of the line. It's plain as plain can be for everyone to see that it's the fat controller's railway. He's so proud of his engines each and everyone. And though he's strict and meticulous, favorites he has none. If ever there is trouble, you know who will be there.
  • Girl: If there's ever a crash a smash or a muddle, he's there on the double, no trouble.
  • Children: (singing) Cause it's the fat controller's railway. When Henry stayed in the tunnel, everyone tried to push. But Sir Topham Hatt would have none of that.
  • Boy: My doctor has forbidden me to push.
  • Children: (singing) And one day the wind blew his hat off.
  • Girl: A goat in the field saw his chance.
  • Children: (singing) He just picked up the hat, said thank you for that and ate it up for lunch. Sir Top, Sir Topham Hatt. He's the head of the railway. There is no doubt about that controller of the line. It's plain as plain can be for everyone to see that it's the fat controller's railway. Sir Top, Sir Topham Hatt. He's the head of the railway. There is no doubt about that controller of the line. It's plain as plain can be for everyone to see that it's the fat controller's railway. The fat controller's railway. Sir Top-ham Hatt.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Harold and The Flying Horse)
  • Michael Brandon: Harold the Helicopter is glad not to be a steam engine. He is much happier flying in the sky than racing along on road or rails. One sunny morning, the engines were busy preparing for the Vicar's annual garden party.
  • Harold: I like to help.
  • Michael Brandon: Called Harold.
  • Harold: But I'm on patrol.
  • Michael Brandon: He was looking for engines that might be in trouble. Meanwhile, the engines puffed to and fro with their loads to the party. Percy was delivering deck chairs and decorations, tables and tea earns and reminders.
  • Percy: Don't forget to come to the Vicar's party.
  • Harold: Thanks for the invitation.
  • Michael Brandon: Called Harold.
  • Harold: But duty calls.
  • Michael Brandon: And he whirred away. Harold was landing at his airfield to get more fuel when he saw Pegasus the cart horse that lives close by. Pegasus was ready to give rides to children. He had a shiny leather hornest and a freshly painted cart. Harold was beginning to feel left out of the celebrations. He wished more than ever that he could help. Thomas puffed in with some passengers.
  • Harold: Where are you going next?
  • Michael Brandon: Buzzed Harold.
  • Thomas: To the Vicar's party of course. Everyone's going.
  • Harold: Everyone except me.
  • Michael Brandon: Replied Harold.
  • Harold: I'm on duty.
  • Thomas: Yes indeed.
  • Michael Brandon: Said Thomas kindly.
  • Thomas: Being a rescue helicopter is important work.
  • Harold: But no one needs rescuing.
  • Michael Brandon: Sighed Harold. Then came the surprise. Harold's pilot recieved an urgent call from Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Pegasus is stuck in a ditch. If he doesn't get to the Vicar's party, the children will be disappointed. You must rescue him at once.
  • Harold: All set and ready for action.
  • Michael Brandon: Reported Harold.
  • Percy: Pegasus?
  • Michael Brandon: Wondered Percy.
  • Percy: That's a funny name for a horse.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: It's the name of a flying horse in a very old story.
  • Michael Brandon: Explained Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Percy: Flying horse!?
  • Michael Brandon: Exclaimed Percy.
  • Percy: Horses can't fly.
  • Michael Brandon: He felt very clever. Harold flew to the rescue as fast as he could.
  • Harold: What happened?
  • Michael Brandon: He asked Thomas.
  • Thomas: We were loading the cart. Pegasus wondered off into the ditch. Silly Horse, now he's stuck. If you can take him, I can take the cart.
  • Harold: I'll put Pegasus in my sling.
  • Thomas: We need to hurry.
  • Michael Brandon: Whistled Thomas.
  • Thomas: The party is about to begin.
  • Michael Brandon: And he steamed away. Soon, Harold's pilot had fitted Harold's sling under Pegasus. Then, Harold lifted him gently into the air and carefully carried him across the fields. When Percy saw Pegasus flying through the sky he was amazed.
  • Percy: Well flatten my funnel, so horses can fly after all.
  • Michael Brandon: The children cheered for Harold. He had saved the day. Soon, Pegasus was hitched up to the cart. The party was a big sucess and the children had a wonderful time. Harold was happy. He'd stayed on duty and had fun at the party too.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin The Red Balloon)
  • Children: (singing) There's so much to see on the Island of Sodor, Waterfalls and windmills, valleys of green. All this and more on the Island of Sodor, Colourful carpet for all to see.
  • Girl: (singing) People happily ride round the Island Flying so high in a big red balloon.
  • Children: (singing) From mountains high and down to the seaside Everyone wishing they'll all come back soon High in the red balloon Up above looking down on everyone You can touch the moon High in the red balloon Floating and spinning and climbing and rising Way up high, look see the red balloon.
  • Girl: (singing) Float over castles and church spires below them Cricket being played on the quaint village green.
  • Children: (singing) Everyone waves at the big red balloon Prettiest picture they've ever seen James sees the red balloon Floating high, wishing he could be like him High in the sky He waits where the river bends.
  • Girl: (singing softly) Waiting to see his friend, hoping he will come again.
  • Children: (singing) Wishing and hoping and waiting and dreaming of flying high Just James and the red balloon.
  • Girl: (singing) James and the red balloon.
  • (Following the last song, we find the end credits with Thomas looking at us)
