James Helps Out is the second episode of the third season of Thomas' Railway Adventures.
James is in the shed for two months, and helps Gordon with the Express.

Narrator: James has been in the sheds for 2 months because he destroyed Rutger and Sir Topham Hatt punished him in the sheds for 2 months. Edward passed by with his passenger train.
Edward: (whistles) Hello, James.
Narrator: James didn't answer and Sir Topham Hatt came to see him.
Sir Topham Hatt: I know how you feel James about how you destroyed Rutger and I forgive you for that incident. I have a job for you. I need you to help Gordon with the express beacuse he broken down.
James: Yes, sir I do it right away.
Narrator: Gordon usally pulls the express. James, Henry, Spencer, Chelsea or Bear had to help while he was ill away. James Collected his coaches and set off to Vicarstown.
James: (Whistles) Hello, Emily.
Emily: Hello, James.
Narrator: James saw Gordon at the steamworks.
Gordon: Having fun with the express James?
Narrator: As James passed by with the express. There was a crossing near the steamworks and crows were sitting on the fence. James puffed passed Percy and Thomas.
James: (whistles) Hello, Thomas. Hello, Percy.
Percy and Thomas: Hello James.
Narrator: James' whistle startled the crows and they flew across the train and they're scratching James' bright red paint. One crow larger than the others nearly brushed James' nose. As it did so, there was a bump and James felt his brakes come on.
James: Why are we stopping?
James' driver: Maybe someone pulled the emergancy brake. Don't worry, the guard would tell us in a minute.
Narrator: But the guard had no idea what was wrong.
James' Fireman: There must be a leak in the brakepipe.
Narrator: They looked at one brakepipe of the train to the other but they can't find nothing worng.
James' driver: I don't understand it. How could we find nothing wrong, yet the brakes are on?
James: It was just when those crows past me. One nearly hit me and there was a bump.
James' driver: Just a minute.
Narrator: He looked at his brakepipe.
James' Driver: (Triumphitley) There you are! That bird knocked the seal off of your brakepipe, look.
Guard: Well, I'm blessed. I never heard birdstrike on an engine before.
Narrator: They're soon on their way again. When they got back, the engines laughed.
Thomas: I thought your bootlace incident was funny but this is funnier with this.
Emily: (laughs) Gordon had to encounter with crows once before the jubilee celebration.
Toby: First Gordon and now James.
Henry: they both have something in common.
Narrator: All of the engines laughed except James. He pretended he hadn't heard for one night.
