Transcript

  • (We open this episode with the Britt Allcroft Presents logo)
  • (We then show the Thomas Season 5 intro and we afterwards begin James and The Trouble With Trees)
  • Alec Baldwin: Thomas the Tank Engine had been working in the coal yards all day. The little blue engine was covered in coal dust.
  • Thomas' Driver: We can't clean you up tonight, Thomas.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his driver.
  • Thomas' Driver: There's a problem with the hose pipe.
  • Thomas: Bother!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas.
  • Thomas: A bath would make me feel much better. The others are sure to say I look silly.
  • Alec Baldwin: But the engines were too busy arguing to notice Thomas. James was talking loudest of all.
  • James: I deserve a new coat of paint. Sir Topham Hatt says I'm the pride of the line and...
  • Henry: Rubbish!
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed Henry.
  • Henry: We're all the pride of the line.
  • Percy: It's been like this all day.
  • Alec Baldwin: Confided Percy to Thomas.
  • Percy: James is getting a new coat of paint and won't stop boasting about it.
  • Thomas: Why, James! I'm the one who needs a new coat. Look at me.
  • James: I rather not.
  • Alec Baldwin: Retorted James.
  • James: You're not a pleasant sight and wouldn't understand that needs of a really important engine.
  • Alec Baldwin: Thomas was fuming. Next morning as James was being repainted, Henry had an accident.
  • (Henry causes the cars to derail)
  • James: If you can't push cars properly, Henry, why not talk to a tree instead. You know how much you like the forest.
  • Henry: As a matter of fact, bossy boiler, Sir Topham Hatt is inspecting the island for trees that have fallen too close to the line. He's worried that might cause trouble.
  • James: Pah!
  • Alec Baldwin: Laughed James.
  • James: If I came upon a tree i just push it aside.
  • Henry: Really!?
  • Alec Baldwin: Henry replied. Soon, James was showing off his paintwork.
  • James: Make way for an important engine.
  • Percy: You wouldn't feel important if one of those trees crashed on you. You feel hurt.
  • Alec Baldwin: Reproached Percy.
  • James: Rubbish! It wouldn't dare!
  • Terence: You should be careful, James. Trees can be just as powerful as engines.
  • Alec Baldwin: Adviced Terence.
  • James: Oh please! Now excuse me, Sir Topham Hatt needs me to pull the express.
  • Alec Baldwin: And he huffed away. But James was wrong.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You must go to the yards and collect an important goods train James. It's heavy so be careful.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • James: But, sir, I've just been repainted. Can't Thomas and Percy do it? They're dirty and like working with freight cars.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Really useful engines don't argue.
  • Alec Baldwin: So James didn't. By the time he arrived at the yards, the weather was changed for the worse.
  • Freight Car: Your color's nice, James. Pity about your face though.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said a freight car. James ignored them and set off. Soon they came to a hill and his driver knew they were in for a dificult time. An old tree close to the tracks was being blown by the strong winds and the rain had weakened the slope. All of a sudden, the tree moved.
  • (James sees the tree ahead and comes to a halt)
  • James: Oh help!
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried James.
  • James: Go away!
  • Alec Baldwin: But of course, the tree couldn't. James tried to reverse away from the tree but his train was too heavy. Then he heard a whistle.
  • James' Driver: It's Thomas.
  • Alec Baldwin: Called his driver. James felt embarrased and worried that Thomas would laugh at him, but Thomas didn't. He knew it was no time for teasing.
  • Thomas: Peep, peep! I'm ready!
  • Alec Baldwin: Whistled Thomas.
  • James: So am I.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied James.
  • James: As ready as I'll ever be.
  • Alec Baldwin: They were just in time.
  • (The tree lands on the ground with a loud wham!)
  • Alec Baldwin: Later, James spoke to Thomas.
  • James: Percy and Terence were so right to warn me. Thank you for rescuing me, Thomas.
  • Thomas: Oh, that's all right. We engines have to pull together whatever the weather.
  • Alec Baldwin: Just then, Edward bustled in.
  • Edward: Sir Topham Hatt thinks you're both brave engines. Thomas, you're going to have a new coat of paint, and James, Sir Topham Hatt says that tomorrow you'll pull the special express.
  • Alec Baldwin: Everyone was very happy.
  • (A passing by sequence occurs and we begin Night Train)
  • Children: (singing) See how the night sky glows, See the light from the night train, The fire glow from the night train. On down the line he blows... Woooooo-oooooo!!! On down the line he blows. All through the night he goes. Hear the sound of the night train, The chugga-chug-chugg of the night train. Hear how his whistle blows... Woooooo-oooooo!!! Hear how his whistle blows. Pulling, heaving, big engine breathing. Pistons pushing side by side. Driver checking, gauging, peering, Fireman stoking by his side. On down the line they go. Fast track for the mail train, Clear away for the post train. Non-stop all night they go... Woooooo-oooooo!!! Non-stop all night they go. See how the night sky glows. Clear ahead for the night train, Green light for the night train. On down the track he blows... Woooooo-oooooo!!! On down the track he blows. Dawn is breaking, sleepy town waking. Children waving, watch him go. Freight trains, milk trains, Boat trains waiting, Stand aside to let him go. There in the morning glow The sunlight on the night train, Silhouettes the night train. On down the line he blows... Woooooo-oooooo!!! There in the morning glow. On down the line he blows Hear the sound of the night train, The chugga-chug-chugg of the night train. Hear how his whistle blows... Woooooo-oooooo!!! Hear how his whistle blows. On down the line he blows, On down the line he blows.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Gordon and The Gremlin)
  • Alec Baldwin: Early one morning, Gordon's fire would not light.
  • Firelighter: I don't know what's wrong.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sighed the firelighter.
  • Firelighter: There must be gremlins about.
  • Percy: What are gremlins?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked Percy.
  • Thomas: I've heard that they're little green men who play tricks.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied Thomas.
  • Percy: Can we find one?
  • James: Pah!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said James.
  • James: Gremlins don't exist. They're just an excuse when things go wrong.
  • Thomas: If firelighter says there are gremlins, there are.
  • James: Hah!
  • Alec Baldwin: Snorted James. Sir Topham Hatt had heard everything.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Silence!
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I am expecting a VIP, a very important person today. She is heard that all my engines are really useful. Please prove it.
  • Engines: Yes sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: They all said.
  • Percy: As long as the gremlins let us.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: What gremlins.
  • Percy: The ones in Gordon's fire, sir, that's why he's not ready yet.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I'll see about that.
  • Alec Baldwin: Thundered Sir Topham Hatt and he did.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Gordon, I expect you'd be on your best behavior today. You were to pull the special coach from my special visitor. But no high speeds, please, she won't like that.
  • Alec Baldwin: Gordon was proud and pleased. He was waiting for his special coach when Percy puffed in with some freight cars.
  • Percy: What's the matter, Gordon, you're late.
  • Gordon: Driver says there's gremlins in the turntables.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied Gordon.
  • Percy: They must be everywhere!
  • Alec Baldwin: Squeaked Percy. At last, the turntable was mended and Gordon puffed away with the special coach. He was soon working hard to make up for lost time. After he arrived at the station, Sir Topham Hatt became concerned.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Where's Thomas?
  • Alec Baldwin: He wondered.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: He's supposed to be bringing my visitor to the docks.
  • Gordon: Hah!
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed Gordon.
  • Gordon: Thomas isn't really useful is he's late.
  • Alec Baldwin: But it wasn't long before Thomas arrived.
  • Thomas: (pants) I'm sorry. (pants) A cow strayed on the line and we had to wait for the farmer to take her away. But driver says your visitor is here safe and sound.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Indeed she is.
  • Alec Baldwin: Smiled Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: How nice to see you.
  • Percy: Who is it?
  • Alec Baldwin: Whispered Percy.
  • Thomas: I don't know.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied Thomas.
  • Thomas: But Sir Topham Hatt is certainly keen to please her. He's a arranged a special party for her.
  • Percy: She's got a dog as well.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy.
  • Gremlin: (barks)
  • Thomas' Driver: Come on, Thomas.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said the Driver.
  • Thomas' Driver: You need a drink.
  • Gordon: Pah!
  • Alec Baldwin: Puffed Gordon.
  • Gordon: Thomas is just a lazy little engine. Sir Topham Hatt is expecting me to arrive on time. We're late because of Thomas.
  • Alec Baldwin: Gordon's driver decided to make up for lost time. Then, there was trouble.
  • Gordon's Driver: I think we better slow down. This is an old line that could make things uncomfortable for the VIP.
  • Alec Baldwin: And it did. She was taking a bath and the water was slopping all over the place.
  • Dowager Hatt: (groans)
  • Alec Baldwin: She cried. Gordon was very relieved to reach his final destination where Thomas was waiting to collect Sir Topham Hatt and his special visitor. He blew an extra long whistle. (Gordon's whistle tooting) This frightened the visitor's dog so much that he fled from the station and ran into a field where a bull was grazing.
  • Bull: (roaring)
  • Alec Baldwin: The bull frightened the little dog even more. He ran back again onto the platform and over the bridge.
  • Gremlin: (barking)
  • Alec Baldwin: He didn't stop until he jumped straight into Thomas' cab.
  • Gremlin: (barks)
  • Alec Baldwin: But he had a wonderful ride all the way to the docks.
  • Thomas' Fireman: What's the dog's name?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked the fireman.
  • Dowager Hatt: Well, after today's events, I think I'll rename him Gremlin.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sir Topham Hatt chuckled.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: In that case, I've met one at last. Ha ha.
  • Thomas: Excuse me, sir, but who is your very important visitor?
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Why didn't I tell you? This lady is my mother and she agrees with me. You are indeed really useful engines and my mother of course is always right. (laughs)
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Sir Topham Hatt)
  • (Gordon's whistle toots)
  • Children (singing): His name is Sir Topham Hatt. Some people say he's - Stout!! Rather rotund, really quite round. But he doesn't see it like that.
  • Girl: He's considered he's a gentleman of merit.
  • Boy: With a railway exquisitely fine.
  • Children: (singing) But his main aim is to see that his trains run right on time. Sir Top, Sir Topham Hatt. He's the head of the railway. There is no doubt about that controller of the line. It's as plain as plain can be for everyone to see that it's the fat controller's railway. One day he was having breakfast, when Thomas decided to call. He arrived unexpected and quite uninvited straight through the dining room wall.
  • Boy: My goodness! Said the controller. Why didn't you knock at the door?
  • Children: (singing) This won't do at all just look at my wall and my breakfast on the floor. Sir Top, Sir Topham Hatt. He's the head of the railway there is no doubt about that controller of the line. It's plain as plain can be for everyone to see that it's the fat controller's railway. He's so proud of his engines each and everyone. And though he's strict and meticulous, favorites he has none. If ever there is trouble, you know who will be there.
  • Girl: If there's ever a crash a smash or a muddle, he's there on the double, no trouble.
  • Children: (singing) Cause it's the fat controller's railway. When Henry stayed in the tunnel, everyone tried to push. But Sir Topham Hatt would have none of that.
  • Boy: My doctor has forbidden me to push.
  • Children: (singing) And one day the wind blew his hat off.
  • Girl: A goat in the field saw his chance.
  • Children: (singing) He just picked up the hat, said thank you for that and ate it up for lunch. Sir Top, Sir Topham Hatt. He's the head of the railway. There is no doubt about that controller of the line. It's plain as plain can be for everyone to see that it's the fat controller's railway. Sir Top, Sir Topham Hatt. He's the head of the railway. There is no doubt about that controller of the line. It's plain as plain can be for everyone to see that it's the fat controller's railway. The fat controller's railway. Sir Top-ham Hatt.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Sir Topham Hatt's Holiday)
  • Alec Baldwin: One day, Sir Topham Hatt arranged with Thomas the Tank Engine to take his wife and grandchildren to the seaside. The sun shone and everywhere looked splendid. But, Lady Hatt was feeling hot and tired. She took her troubles out on Annie and Clarabel.
  • Lady Hatt: Those coaches are old and uncomfortable. Why don't you use them as beach hogs instead?
  • Alec Baldwin: Thomas was most upset.
  • Thomas: You don't let them turn Annie and Clarabel into beach hogs, will you?
  • Driver: Of course not, Thomas.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied his driver.
  • Driver: But I must admit they could be smarten up.
  • Alec Baldwin: The next day, Sir Topham Hatt used Percy to take his family to Harold's airfield. They were just about to board Harold when it happened.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Ooh, what was that?
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Harold: Uh, that's Tiger Moth.
  • Alec Baldwin: Grumbled Harold.
  • Harold: It's rude and flies much too low.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: So I can see. Please take us up Harold before there's another disturbance.
  • Alec Baldwin: A few days later, Harold arrived at their holiday home with bad news.
  • Harold's Pilot: Uh, It's Tiger Moth.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Harold's Pilot.
  • Harold's Pilot: It's gone missing. Do you wish to join the search party with us?
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I think I better.
  • (Harold looks for Tiger Moth)
  • Sir Topham Hatt: There's Tiger Moth.
  • Alec Baldwin: Called Sir Topham Hatt. Then he spoke to the pilot.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You are showing off and flying dangerously. I will speak to your controller and request that you are grounded.
  • Pilot: Yes, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Replied the pilot.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Now if you'll excuse me, I shall return to my holiday.
  • Pilot: Jolly good idea, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sir Topham Hatt arranged to meet up with Toby and Henrietta to take them somewhere special. They arrived at a small river inland.
  • Stephen and Bridget: What a beautiful boat!
  • Alec Baldwin: Exclaimed the children.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: It's my special treat.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sir Topham Hatt took the helm with his wife beside him.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: It's so nice to be away from the railway for once.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said to her.
  • Lady Hatt: And far cleaner.
  • Alec Baldwin: She replied. But life on the river is very different from that on the rails. The family were enjoying themselves so much that they forgot to watch where they were going.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Oh, botheration!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: We're stuck!
  • Alec Baldwin: And they were. Other boats try to pull them off the mudbank, but it was no use. Percy saw the commotion and stopped.
  • Driver: Is there anything we can do to help?
  • Alec Baldwin: Called his driver.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Yes, indeed there is. This is the life, isn't it, my dear?
  • Alec Baldwin: Soon, they arrived at a small station. There was Thomas with Annie and Clarabel who were looking as smart as their new paint inside and out.
  • Lady Hatt: My!
  • Alec Baldwin: Exclaimed Lady Hatt.
  • Lady Hatt: What splendid coaches. So much suitable for those beach hogs on wheels.
  • Alec Baldwin: No one said a word. But that evening, Annie and Clarabel spoke to Thomas.
  • Annie and Clarabel: It's very nice to get compliments, but no matter what we look like we're always be useful, won't we, Thomas?
  • Thomas: Of course.
  • Alec Baldwin: They're friend replied.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Donald's Duck)
  • Children (singing): I found a quacker in my tender. She was very, very tame. But she quacked all night and through the day. She was driving me insane. My driver and my fireman tried everything they know to shoo the quacker away from me but she did not want to go. The quacker clearly loves me was impossible to nab. So now we have befriended her. She rides inside my cab. She quacks in stations big and small. She quacks at people too. Now everyone calls her Donald's Duck but i call her my quackeroo. She makes me so happy with her little ways. So happy, it's true. Now everyone calls her Donald's Duck but i call her my quackeroo. Quacking here, quacking there. She is quacking everywhere. Quack, quack, choo, choo, choo. She's my little quackeroo. She's quacking here and there. She's quacking everywhere. Quack, quack, choo, choo, choo. She's my quackeroo. Now everybody loves her. They love to hear her quack. But when we have to say goodbye, they ask when she'll be back. She's captured everybody's heart. She knows just what to do. Now everyone calls her Donald's Duck but she's my quackeroo. She makes me so happy with her little ways. So happy, it's true. Now everyone calls her Donald's Duck but i call her my quackeroo. Quacking here, quacking there. She's quacking everywhere. Quack, quack, choo, choo, choo. She's my little quackeroo. She's quacking here and there. She's quacking everywhere. Quack, quack, choo, choo, choo. She's my quackeroo. She's my quackeroo, she's my quackeroo.
  • (Dilly quacking)
  • (Donald's whistle toots)
  • (Following the last song, we find the end credits with Thomas looking at us)
  • (While they roll, the Thomas end theme plays)
  • (After that, the A Britt Allcroft Production logo appears)
