John Franklin Candy (born October 31, 1950 - died March 4, 1994) was a Canadian Actor, Writer and Comedian. He rose to fame as a member of the Toronto branch of The Secone City and its related Second City Television series, member of the writing team of the Children's Comedy Variety Show Sunday Morning Live and through his endless appearances om Comedy Films.


On March 4, 1994, Candy died of a heart attack in his sleep at the age of 43. He was planned to voice a turkey named Readfeather in the 1995 Disney film, Pocahontas, but after his death, the character and dialogue were scrapped. Candy was survived by his wife, Rosemary Hobor, and his two children, Jennifer and Christopher Candy.
