Alex's Ghostly Trick

  • (Noctowl hoots twice)
  • (Ghost horn blows)
  • Alex: And every year on the date of the accident, it runs again as a warning to others, plunging into the gap, shrieking like a lost soul.
  • Ash: Alex what are you talking about?
  • Alex: The ghost train. Driver saw it last night.
  • Ash and Jackie: Where?
  • George Carlin: Asked Ash and Jackie.
  • Alex: He didn't say, oh it makes my feet wobble to think of it.
  • Ash: Pooh!
  • George Carlin: Said Ash.
  • Ash: You're just a silly little boy. I'm not scared.
  • Alex: Ash didn't believe in ghosts.
  • George Carlin: Said Alex next morning. His driver laughed.
  • Driver: Neither do I. It was only a pretend ghost story.
  • George Carlin: Alex was disappointed. That evening, he came back from the harbour. Alex knew where he was, even in the dark.
  • Alex: Crowe's Farm Crossing. We shan't be long now.
  • George Carlin: He liked running at night. The rails hummed and the signal light shoned green. But a broken cart load of lime lay ahead. Sam the Farmer had just gone for help.
  • (A loud crash is heard as Alex hits the cart)
  • George Carlin: Alex broke the cart to smithereens. Lime flew everywhere. He puffed quickly to the nearest signal box. Alex's driver explained what had happened.
  • Signalman: I'll see to it.
  • George Carlin: Said the Signalman.
  • Signalman: But you better clean Alex, or people will think he's a ghost.
  • George Carlin: Alex chuckled.
  • Alex: Do let's pretend I'm a ghost and scared Ash. That'll teach him to see I'm a silly little boy.
  • George Carlin: Jackie promised to help. Ash was being oiled up for his evening train.
  • Jackie: Alex's had an accident!
  • George Carlin: Cried Jackie.
  • Ash: Poor boy.
  • George Carlin: Said Ash.
  • Ash: Botheration! That means I'll be late!
  • Jackie: They've cleared the line for you, but there's something worse.
  • Ash: Out with it, Jackie, I can't wait all evening.
  • Jackie: I've just seen something.
  • George Carlin: Said Jackie.
  • Jackie: It looked like Alex's ghost. It said it was coming here to warn us.
  • Ash: Pooh! Who cares? Don't be frightened, Jackie. I'll take care of you.
  • (We can hear a loud brake sound)
  • Alex: (ghostly voice) Peep, peep, peep-peep-peep, peep! Let me in, let me in!
  • George Carlin: Wailed Alex.
  • Jackie: No, no! Not by the smoke on my chimney chim chim!
  • Alex: (ghostly voice) I'll chuff and I'll puff and I'll break your door in!
  • (The doors open and reveal Alex all along)
  • Ash: Oh dear!
  • George Carlin: Explained Ash.
  • Ash: It's getting late. Oh, I have no idea. Oh, I must find Suzy and Pietra.
  • George Carlin: It was morning when Ash returned.
  • Alex: Where have you been?
  • George Carlin: Asked Alex.
  • Ash: Ah well.
  • George Carlin: Said Ash.
  • Ash: I knew you be sad about Alex, and I, um, I didn't like to intrude. I slept in the freight shed and...
  • (A ghostly whistle is heard)
  • Ash: Oh, sorry, can't stop. Gotta see a coach about a train.
  • George Carlin: Alex was non a worse for his adventure, and was still enjoying himself enormously. He had heard everything.
  • Alex: Well, well, well! What do you know about that?
  • Jackie: Anyone would think...
  • George Carlin: Chuckled Jackie.
  • Jackie: ...that our Ash was just seen a ghost!

Ash, Alex and The Dragon

  • George Carlin: Ash and Alex are good friends, but sometimes, Alex teases Ash about being frightened and he doesn't like that at all. One evening, he was dozing happily, but Alex wanted to talk.
  • Alex: Wake up, Ash. Are you dreaming about the time you thought I was a ghost?
  • Ash: Certainly not. Anyway, I was only pretending to be scared. I knew it was your really.
  • George Carlin: Alex went on teasing him.
  • Alex: I hope the guard leaves the light on for you tonight.
  • Ash: Why?
  • George Carlin: Asked Ash.
  • Ash: I quite like the dark.
  • Alex: Oh really?
  • George Carlin: Explained Alex.
  • Alex: I am surprised. I'd always thought you were afraid of the dark. I wonder why?
  • George Carlin: Ash decided to say nothing and went to sleep instead. Next day, Steven came to see him.
  • Steven: I would like you to go to the harbour tonight. You have to collect something rather unusual.
  • Ash: What sort of something?
  • George Carlin: Asked Ash.
  • Steven: Wait and see.
  • George Carlin: Replied Steven. Meanwhile, Alex was moving some Beedrill into a siding. Shaggy arrived with his goods train. The signalman changed the switches and Alex waited on the siding until Shaggy had steamed by. Then, there was trouble.
  • The Signalman: The switches are jammed.
  • George Carlin: Called the signalman.
  • The Signalman: I can't switch them back for Alex. The workmen will have to mend them in the morning. It's too late now.
  • Driver: Hmmm.
  • George Carlin: Said Alex's Driver.
  • Driver: I'm sorry, Alex. But you will have to stay here tonight.
  • Alex: Where are you going?
  • George Carlin: Asked Alex.
  • Fireman: Home for tea.
  • George Carlin: Replied the fireman. Alex was speechless. He watched as the other characters went home to the shed. Night-time came and Alex began to feel very lonely.
  • Alex: Oh dear.
  • George Carlin: He murmured.
  • Alex: It's very dark.
  • (A screeching noise can be heard)
  • Alex: Oh! Oh! What's that?!
  • George Carlin: It was only an owl, but Alex didn't realize this.
  • Alex: Oh, I wish Ash was here too.
  • George Carlin: He sighed. Ash was waiting for his mysterious load at the harbour. Suddenly, there is was.
  • (The Gyarados appears)
  • Ash: Cinders and Ashes!
  • George Carlin: Cried Ash.
  • Ash: It's a Gyarados!
  • Driver: Don't worry.
  • George Carlin: Laughed his driver.
  • Driver: This Gyarados is made of paper. It's for the carnival tomorrow.
  • George Carlin: Workmen lifted the dragon onto Ash's load loader and put lights all around it for protection. Then, Ash set off into the misty night. Alex was asleep on his siding and had no idea that Ash was approaching him.
  • (Ash and the Gyarados approach Alex and scare him)
  • George Carlin: Alex woke up with a start.
  • Alex: Help!
  • George Carlin: Cried Alex.
  • Alex: I'm not going to open my eyes until my driver comes.
  • George Carlin: Next morning the switches were mended and Alex puffed back to the junction. Terry was just about to leave with the express.
  • Alex: You'll never guess what I saw last night.
  • George Carlin: Terry was in no mood for puzzles.
  • Terry: I'm a busy character. I don't have time for your games.
  • Alex: I've seen a huge Gyarados. It was covered in lights.
  • George Carlin: Terry snorted.
  • Terry: You've been in the sun too long. Your dome has cracked.
  • George Carlin: When the other characters heard the news, they laughed too.
  • Raimundo: Look out, Alex!
  • George Carlin: Chuckled Alex.
  • Raimundo: Or the Gyarados may gobble you up!
  • Alex: No one believes me.
  • George Carlin: Huffed Alex.
  • Alex: Maybe I did imagine the Gyarados after all.
  • George Carlin: But Alex soon found out that he hadn't.
  • Alex: Help! Save me!
  • George Carlin: Cried Alex.
  • Ash: It's alright.
  • George Carlin: Whistled Ash. And he explained about the carnival.
  • Ash: By the way, how was your night out?
  • George Carlin: Alex decided to tell Ash the truth.
  • Ash: Well, Alex.
  • George Carlin: Said Ash.
  • Ash: Maybe we do get scared sometimes, but if we're not afraid to tell each other, then that means we're quite brave too.

Ken's Devious Deed

  • George Carlin: Ken of the Pokemon Mystery Club was sulking. The Beedrill would not stop singing rudely at him. Virgil was horrified.
  • Virgil: Shut up!
  • George Carlin: He ordered, and bumped them hard.
  • Virgil: I'm sorry our Beedrill were rude to you, Ken,
  • George Carlin: Ken was still furious.
  • Ken: It's all your fault. You made them laugh at me.
  • Shaggy: Nonsense.
  • George Carlin: Said Shaggy.
  • Shaggy: Virgil would never do that. We characters have our differences, but we never talked about them to the Beedrill. That would be dis...dis...
  • Terry: Disgraceful.
  • George Carlin: Said Terry.
  • Raimundo: Disgusting.
  • George Carlin: Put in Raimundo.
  • Shaggy: Despicable.
  • George Carlin: Finished Shaggy. Ken hated Virgil. He wanted him to be sent away, so he made a plan. He was going to tell lies about Virgil. Next day, he spoke to the Beedrill.
  • Ken: I see you like jokes. You made a good joke about me yesterday. I laughed and laughed. Virgil told me one about Terry. I'll whisper it. Don't tell Terry I told you.
  • George Carlin: And he sniggered away.
  • Beedrill: Ha, ha, ha!
  • George Carlin: Guffawed the Beedrill.
  • Beedrill: Terry will be cross with Virgil when he knows. Let's tell him and get back at Virgil for bumping us.
  • George Carlin: They laughed rudely at the characters as they went by. Soon Terry, Shaggy and Raimundo found out why.
  • Terry: Disgraceful.
  • George Carlin: Said Terry.
  • Raimundo: Disgusting.
  • George Carlin: Put in Raimundo.
  • Shaggy: Despicable.
  • George Carlin: Finished Shaggy.
  • Shaggy: We cannot allow it.
  • George Carlin: They consulted together.
  • Shaggy: Yes.
  • George Carlin: They said.
  • Shaggy: He did it to us, we'll do it to him and see how he likes it.
  • George Carlin: Virgil was tired out. The Beedrill had been cheeky and troublesome. He wanted a rest in the shed. The three characters barred his way.
  • Terry, Raimundo and Shaggy: Hooosh!
  • Raimundo: Keep out!
  • Virgil: Stop fooling.
  • George Carlin: Said Virgil.
  • Virgil: I'm tired.
  • Terry, Raimundo and Shaggy: So are we.
  • George Carlin: Hissed the characters.
  • Terry, Raimundo and Shaggy: We're tired of you. We like Ken. We don't like you. You tell tales about us to the Beedrill.
  • Virgil: I don't!
  • Terry, Raimundo and Shaggy: You do!
  • Virgil: I don't!
  • Terry, Raimundo and Shaggy: You do!
  • George Carlin: Steven came to stop the noise.
  • Terry: Virgil called me a galloping sausage!
  • George Carlin: Spluttered Terry.
  • Raimundo: Rusty red scrap-irons!
  • George Carlin: Hissed Raimundo.
  • Shaggy: I'm old square wheels!
  • George Carlin: Fumed Shaggy.
  • Steven: Well, Virgil?
  • George Carlin: Virgil considered.
  • Virgil: I only wish sir.
  • George Carlin: He said gravely.
  • Virgil: That I thought of those names myself. If the dome fits...
  • Steven: (clearing throat)
  • Terry, Raimundo and Shaggy: He made Beedrill laugh at us.
  • George Carlin: Accused the characters. Steven recovered. He been trying not to laugh himself.
  • Steven: Did you, Virgil?
  • Virgil: Certainly not, sir. No character will be as mean as that.
  • George Carlin: Ken lurked up.
  • Steven: Now, Ken, you heard what Virgil said.
  • Ken: I can't understand it, sir, to think that Virgil of all characters. I'm dreadfully grieved, sir, but no nothing.
  • Steven: I see.
  • George Carlin: Said Steven. Ken squirmed and hope he didn't.
  • Steven: I'm sorry, Virgil, but you must go to Kevin's station for a while. I know he'll be glad to see him.
  • Virgil: As you wish, sir.
  • George Carlin: Virgil trundled sadly away, while Ken smirked with triumph.

No Joke For Raimundo

  • George Carlin: Raimundo is an ordinary Xiaolin Monk. He can arrange both Beedrill and Arcanine. He's proud of his civilian outfit and so was his driver.
  • Raimundo's Driver: Everyone says you brighten up your day, Raimundo.
  • George Carlin: One morning, Raimundo whistled loudly at the other characters.
  • Raimundo: Look at me! I'm a smartest most useful Xiaolin Monk on the line!
  • Ash: Rubbish.
  • George Carlin: Replied Ash.
  • Ash: We're all useful. Steven says so and he's headed the whole railway.
  • Alex: You know what, Raimundo?
  • George Carlin: Added Alex.
  • Raimundo: What?
  • George Carlin: Replied Raimundo.
  • Alex: You're getting all puffed out.
  • George Carlin: Raimundo huffed away. Later, he was still boasting.
  • Raimundo: I'm the pride of the line.
  • Terry: I saw you're pulling Beedrill.
  • George Carlin: Snorted Terry.
  • Terry: You're only a goods characters.
  • Raimundo: I've pull Arcanine too.
  • Terry: Not as much as I do.
  • Raimundo: But Steven has plans for me.
  • George Carlin: Raimundo was making this up but Terry believe him.
  • Terry: What plans?
  • Raimundo: Uh, wait and see. Oh dear.
  • George Carlin: He thought.
  • Raimundo: Now what'll I do?
  • George Carlin: Ash was shunting shiny new Arcanine.
  • Ash: Good morning, Raimundo.
  • Raimundo: Are those Arcanine for me?
  • George Carlin: Asked Raimundo hopefully.
  • Ash: No, these are for Terry's Express. I'll fetch your Beedrill next.
  • George Carlin: But Raimundo was going to play a trick on the other characters.
  • Raimundo: Actually, Ash, I'm taking the Arcanine. Steven ask me to tell you.
  • Ash: What about the Beedrill?
  • George Carlin: Asked Ash.
  • Raimundo: Uh, give them to Terry.
  • Ash's Driver: Come on, Ash.
  • George Carlin: Said his driver.
  • Ash's Driver: Orders are orders.
  • George Carlin: So when Raimundo's driver returned, Raimundo was coupled to the Arcanine and he puffed away. Ash returned with the Beedrill. And a few minutes later, Terry arrived.
  • Terry: Where's the express?
  • George Carlin: Ash told him about Raimundo.
  • Ash: And so here are your Beedrill.
  • George Carlin: Terry was very cross and so his driver.
  • Terry's Driver: Wait'll Steven hears about this.
  • George Carlin: Meanwhile Raimundo was enjoying himself enormously.
  • Raimundo: What a clever plan! What a clever plan!
  • George Carlin: He chuffed. Then he saw Steven.
  • Steven: Some jokes are funny, but not this one, Raimundo. You have caused confusion.
  • Raimundo: Yes Sir.
  • George Carlin: Said Raimundo.
  • Steven: You will now stay in your shed until you are wanted.
  • George Carlin: The other characters teased Raimundo.
  • Terry: I wonder who'd be pulling the express today?
  • George Carlin: Said Terry.
  • Shaggy: I expect it'll be you.
  • George Carlin: Replied Shaggy.
  • Shaggy: Raimundo is stuck in the shed for being silly.
  • George Carlin: Raimundo felt sad. Next morning, he went back to work.
  • Ash: Hello.
  • George Carlin: Whistled Ash.
  • Ash: Good to see you out and about again.
  • Raimundo: I'm sorry I tricked you.
  • George Carlin: Said Raimundo.
  • Raimundo: Are these my Beedrill?
  • Ash: Yes.
  • George Carlin: Replied Ash kindly.
  • Ash: They're please to have you back.
  • George Carlin: Raimundo set off to the harbour with a train of Beedrill. He bustled about all day pushing and pulling them into place.
  • Raimundo's Driver: Time to go home now, Raimundo.
  • George Carlin: Said his driver at last.
  • Raimundo's Driver: No Beedrill or passengers. Just we too.
  • George Carlin: But his driver was wrong.
  • Railway Inspector: Excuse me.
  • George Carlin: Called the man.
  • Railway Inspector: I have a meeting with Steven and I mustn't be late. May I ride back with you?
  • Raimundo's Driver: Of course.
  • George Carlin: Replied Raimundo's driver. Then he whispered to Raimundo.
  • Raimundo's Driver: This gentleman is a railway inspector.
  • George Carlin: Raimundo was most impressed. He steamed along the line as smoothly and quickly as he could. Steven was waiting on the platform and the railway inspector greeted him warmly.
  • Railway Inspector: This clever Xiaolin Monk gave me a splendid ride. You must be proud of him.
  • Steven: Yes indeed. Once again, you are a really useful Xiaolin Monk.

Old Iron

  • George Carlin: One day, Raimundo had to wait at the University till Kevin and his books came in. This made him cross.
  • Raimundo: Late again!
  • George Carlin: Kevin laughed and Raimundo fumed again. After Raimundo had finished his work, he went back to the yard, and puffed on to the turntable. He was still feeling very bad tempered.
  • Raimundo: Kevin is impossible!
  • George Carlin: He grumbled to the others.
  • Raimundo: He clanks about like a lot of old iron and he is so slow, he makes us wait!
  • George Carlin: Ash and Alex were indigment.
  • Alex: Old iron?! Slow?!
  • Ash: Why, Kevin could beat you in a race any day!
  • Raimundo: Really!
  • George Carlin: Said Raimundo.
  • Raimundo: I should like to see him do it. Next morning, Raimundo's driver was suddenly taking ill. He could hardly stand, so the fireman uncoupled Raimundo ready for shunting. Al was impatient. Suddenly, the signalman shouted. There was Raimundo puffing away down the line.
  • Signalman: All traffic halted!
  • George Carlin: Called the signalman. Then he told the fireman what had happened.
  • Signalman: Two boys were on Raimundo's footplate fiddling with the controls.
  • Fireman: Whew.
  • Signalman: They tumbled off and ran when Raimundo started.
  • (Phone rings)
  • George Carlin: The signalman answered the telephone.
  • Signalman: Yes? He's here? Right, I'll tell him. The inspector's coming at once. He wants a shunter's pole and a coil of wire rope.
  • Fireman: What for?
  • George Carlin: Wondered the fireman.
  • Signalman: Search me, but you better get them quickly.
  • George Carlin: The fireman was ready when Kevin arrived. The inspector saw the pole and a rope.
  • Inspector: Good man, jump in.
  • Kevin: We'll catch him, we'll catch him.
  • George Carlin: Puffed Kevin. Raimundo was laughing.
  • Raimundo: What a lark! What a lark!
  • George Carlin: He chuckled to himself. Suddenly, he was going faster and faster. He realized that he had no driver.
  • Raimundo: What shall I do? I can't stop! Help! Help!
  • Kevin: We're coming, we're coming!
  • George Carlin: Called Kevin. Kevin was panting up behind with every ounce of steam he had. At last, he caught up with Raimundo.
  • Kevin's Driver: Steady, Kevin.
  • George Carlin: Called his driver. The inspector stood on Kevin's front holding a noose of rope in the crook of the shunter's pole. He was trying to slip it over Raimundo's buffer. The characters swayed and lurched. At last...
  • Inspector: Got him!
  • George Carlin: He shouted. He pulled the noose tight. Gently braking, Kevin's driver checked the characters' speed, and Raimundo's fireman scrambled across and took control.
  • Kevin: So the old iron caught you after all.
  • George Carlin: Chuckled Kevin.
  • Raimundo: I'm sorry.
  • George Carlin: Whispered Raimundo.
  • Raimundo: Thank you for saving me. You were splendid, Kevin.
  • Kevin: That's all right.
  • George Carlin: Replied Kevin. The characters arrived at the station side by side. Steven was waiting.
  • Steven: A fine piece of work.
  • George Carlin: He said.
  • Steven: Raimundo, you can rest, and then take your train. I'm proud of you, Kevin. You shall go to the works and have your worn parts mended.
  • Kevin: Oh, thank you, Sir.
  • George Carlin: Said Kevin.
  • Kevin: It'll be lovely not to clank.

Kevin's Exploit

  • George Carlin: Sonic the Hedgehog was giving some visitors a tour of the land of YTV. It was their last afternoon, and Kevin was preparing to take them to meet Bumpty and Raphael. He found it hard to start the heavy train.
  • Shaggy: Did you see him straining?
  • George Carlin: Asked Shaggy.
  • Raimundo: Positively painful.
  • George Carlin: Remarked Raimundo.
  • Terry: Just pathetic.
  • George Carlin: Grunted Terry.
  • Terry: He should give up and be preserved before it's too late.
  • Virgil: Shut up!
  • George Carlin: Burst out Virgil.
  • Virgil: You're all jealous. Kevin's better than any of you.
  • Donkey Kong: You're right, Virgil.
  • George Carlin: Said Donkey Kong.
  • Donkey Kong: Kevin's old, but he'll surprised us all.
  • Kevin: I've done it, we're off! I've done it, we're off!
  • George Carlin: Said Kevin, as he finally puffed out of the station. Bumpty and Raphael were delighted to see the visitors. They loved being photographed. Later, they take the party to the China Clay Works in the break van special. Everyone have a splendid time, and the visitors were most impressed. Then, Kevin took the visitors home. On the way, the weather changed. Wind and rain buffered in Kevin. His sanding gear failed, and his fireman rode in front dropping sand on the rails by hand. Suddenly, Kevin's feet slipped fiercely and with a shrieking crack, something broke. The crew inspected the damage. Repairs took some time.
  • Driver: One of your crank pins broke, Kevin.
  • George Carlin: Said his driver.
  • Driver: We've taken your side rods off. Now you're like an old fashioned man. Can you get these people home? They must start back tonight?
  • Kevin: I'll try, sir.
  • George Carlin: Promised Kevin. Kevin puffed and pulled his hardest. But his feet kept slipping, and he couldn't start the heavy train. The passengers were anxious. The driver, fireman and conductor went along the train, making adjustments between the coaches.
  • Driver: We've loosened the couplings, Kevin. Now you can pick up your coaches one by one, just as you do with Beedrill.
  • Kevin: That'll be much easier.
  • George Carlin: Said Kevin.
  • Kevin: Come on!
  • George Carlin: He puffed, and moved cautiously forward. The first coach moving help to start the second and the second help the third.
  • Kevin: I've done it, I've done it!
  • George Carlin: Puffed Kevin.
  • Driver: Steady, boy.
  • George Carlin: Said his driver.
  • Driver: Well done, boy! You've got them, you've got them!
  • George Carlin: And he listened happily to Kevin's steady beat, as he forced slowly but surely ahead. At last, battered, wearly, but unbeaten, Kevin steamed in. Shaggy was waiting for the visitors with the special train.
  • Kevin: Peep peep!
  • George Carlin: Steven angrily pointed to the clock, but excited passengers cheered and thanked Kevin, his driver and fireman. Virgil and Donkey Kong saw to it that Kevin was left in peace. Terry and Raimundo remain respectfully silent.

Double Trouble

  • George Carlin: It was a beautiful morning on the land of YTV. Ash Ketchum's smart clothes sparkled in the sunshine, as he strolled happily along his route with Suzy and Pietra. He was feeling very pleased with himself.
  • Alex: Hello, Ash.
  • George Carlin: Whistled Alex.
  • Alex: You look splendid.
  • Ash: Yes indeed.
  • George Carlin: Boasted Ash.
  • Ash: Blue is the only proper color for a trainer.
  • Jackie: Oh, I don't know. I like my brown paint.
  • George Carlin: Said Jackie.
  • Alex: I've always been green. I wouldn't want to be any other color either.
  • George Carlin: Added Alex.
  • Ash: Well, well, anyway.
  • George Carlin: Huffed Ash.
  • Ash: Blue is the only color for a really useful trainer. Anyone knows that.
  • George Carlin: Alex said no more. He just grinned at Jackie. Later, Ash was resting when Alex arrived. A large hopper was loading his Beedrill full of coal. Ash was still being cheeky.
  • Ash: Careful.
  • George Carlin: He warned.
  • Ash: Watch out with those silly Beedrill.
  • Beedrill: Go on, go on!
  • George Carlin: Muttered the Beedrill.
  • Ash: And by the way.
  • George Carlin: Went on Ash.
  • Ash: Those buffers don't look really safe to me.
  • George Carlin: The last load poured down.
  • Ash: Help, help!
  • George Carlin: Cried Ash.
  • Ash: Get me out!
  • George Carlin: Alex was worried, but he couldn't help laughing. Ash's smart clothes was covered in coal dust from smokebox to bunker.
  • Alex: Ha, ha!
  • George Carlin: Chuckled Alex.
  • Alex: You don't look really useful now, Ash. You look really disgraceful.
  • Ash: I'm not disgraceful.
  • George Carlin: Choked Ash.
  • Ash: You did that on purpose. Get me out!
  • George Carlin: It took so long to clean Ash that he wasn't it time for his next train. Jackie had to take Suzy and Pietra.
  • Suzy: Poor Ash.
  • George Carlin: Whispered Suzy to Pietra. They were most upset. Ash was grumpy in the shed that night. Jackie thought it made a great joke, but Alex was cross with Ash for thinking he had made his paint dirty on purpose.
  • Alex: Fancy a really useful blue trainer like Ash becoming a disgrace to Steven's railway.
  • George Carlin: Next day, Ash was feeling more cheerful, as he watch Alex bring his Beedrill from the junction. The Beedrill were heavy and Alex was tired.
  • Driver: Have a drink.
  • George Carlin: Said his driver.
  • Driver: Then you'll feel better.
  • George Carlin: The water column stood at the end of the siding with the unsafe buffers. Suddenly, Alex found that he couldn't stop. The buffers didn't stop him either.
  • Alex: Ooh!
  • George Carlin: Wailed Alex.
  • Alex: Help!
  • (Alex falls into the deep coal)
  • George Carlin: The buffers were broken and Alex was wheel deep in coal. It was time for Ash to leave. He had seen everything.
  • Ash: Now Alex has learned his lesson too.
  • George Carlin: He chuckled to himself. That night, the two characters made up their quarrel.
  • Alex: I didn't cause your accident on purpose, Ash.
  • George Carlin: Whispered Alex.
  • Alex: You do know that, don't you?
  • Ash: Of course.
  • George Carlin: Replied Ash.
  • Ash: And I'm sorry I teased you. Your green paint look splendid again too. In future, we're both be more careful of coal.
