  • (Wind It Up ends)
  • Kimiko: Thank you, everyone!
  • (The Conductors soon appear)
  • Mr. Conductor 3: Are you kids ready for a story?
  • Kids: Yes!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: That's good! We're all talking about Thomas the Tank Engine.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: You all remembered his first day with Gordon the Big Engine.
  • (Mr. Conductor 1 blows his whistle and Thomas Gets Tricked starts)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Thomas is a tank engine who lives at the big station of the Island of Sodor. He's a cheeky little engine with six small wheels, a short stumpy funnel, a short stumpy boiler and a short stumpy dome. He's a fussy little engine too. Always pulling coaches about ready for the big engines can take on long journeys. And when trains come in, he pulls the empty coaches away so that the big engines can go on rest. Thomas thinks no engine works has hard as he does. He loves playing tricks on them, including Gordon the biggest and proudest engine of all. Thomas likes to tease Gordon with his whistle.
  • Thomas: Wake up, lazybones. Why don't you work hard like me?
  • Mr. Conductor 1: One day after pulling the big express, Gordon had arrived back on the sidings very tired. He was just going to sleep when Thomas came up in his cheeky way.
  • Thomas: Wake up, lazybones. Do some hard work for a change. You can't catch me!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: And off he ran laughing. Instead of going to sleep again, Gordon thought how he can back at Thomas. One morning, Thomas wouldn't wake up. His driver and fireman couldn't make him start. His fire went out and there was not enough steam. It was nearly time for the express. People are waiting, but the coaches weren't ready. At last, Thomas started.
  • Thomas: Oh dear, oh dear!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: He yawned. He fussed into the station where Gordon was waiting.
  • Gordon: Hurry up, you!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said Gordon.
  • Thomas: Hurry up yourself.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Replied Thomas. Gordon the proud engine began making his plan to teach Thomas a lesson for teasing him. Almost before the coaches had stopped moving, Gordon reversed quickly and was coupled to the train.
  • Gordon: Get in quickly, please!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: He whistled. Thomas usually pushed behind the big trains to help them start, but he was always uncoupled first. This time, Gordon start so quickly they forgot to uncouple Thomas. Gordon's chance had come.
  • Gordon: Come on, come on!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Puffed Gordon to the coaches. The train went faster and faster. Too fast for Thomas, he wanted to stop, but he couldn't.
  • Thomas: Peep peep! Stop, stop!
  • Gordon: Hurry, hurry, hurry!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Laughed Gordon.
  • Coaches: You can't get away, you can't get away!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Laughed the coaches. Poor Thomas was going faster than he had ever gone before. He was out of breath and his wheels hurt him, but he had to go on.
  • Thomas: I shall never be the same again.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: He though sadly.
  • Thomas: My wheels will be quite worn out.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: At last, they stopped at the station. Thomas was uncoupled and he felt very silly and exhausted. Next he went on to the turntable thinking of everyone laughing at him. And then he ran on to a siding out of the way.
  • Gordon: Well, little Thomas.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Chuckled Gordon.
  • Gordon: Now you know what hard work means, don't you?
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Poor Thomas couldn't answer. He had no breath. He just puffed slowly away to rest and had a long long drink.
  • Thomas: Maybe I don't have to tease Gordon to feel important.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Thomas thought to himself. And he puffed slowly home.
  • (Thomas Gets Tricked ends)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Remember, kids, Thomas can be cheeky, but he had to be more careful.
  • Mr. Conductors 2 and 3: And we have to mean it.
  • Julie: That's good.
  • Barney: I've heard of it.
  • Miss Frizzle: And our third song is what we call Breakaway from Kelly Clarkson!
  • Babar: Sung by Mel Blake of the Hoop Kids!
  • (The crowd cheers in joy as Mel sings Breakaway while playing with her guitar)
  • Mel: (singing) Grew up in a small town and when the rain would fall down. I'd just stare out my window. Dreaming of what could be and if i'd end up happy, i would pray. Trying hard to reach out, but when i tried to speak out. Felt like no one could hear me. Wanted to belong here but something felt so wrong here, so i'd pray. I could breakaway. I'll spread my wings and i'll learn how to fly, i'll do what it takes til i touch the sky i'll make a wish, take a chance make it change and breakaway. Out of the darkness and into the sun, but i won't forget all the ones that i love i'll take a risk, take a chance, make it change and breakaway. Wanna feel the warm breeze, sleep under a palm tree. Feel the rush of the ocean. Get onboard a fast train, travel on a jet plane, far away. And breakaway. I'll spread my wings and i'll learn how to fly, i'll do what it takes til i touch the sky and i'll make a wish, take a chance make it change and breakaway. Out of the darkness and into the sun, i won't forget all the ones that i loved i gotta take a risk, take a chance, make it change and breakaway. Building with a hundred floors, swinging round revolving doors, Maybe i don't know where they'll take me but. Gotta keep moving on, moving on. Fly away, breakaway. I'll spread my wings and i'll learn how to fly, though it's not easy to tell you goodbye gotta take a risk, take a chance make it change and breakaway. Out of the darkness and into the sun, but i won't forget the place i come from i gotta take a risk, take a chance, make it change and breakaway, breakaway, breakaway.
  • (Breakaway ends)
  • Mel: I'm the best!
  • Julie: And our fourth song is Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Want To Have Fun.
  • Barney: Sung by Time Detective member, Sarah Goodman.
  • (The crowd cheers in joy as Sarah sings Girls Just Want To Have Fun)
  • Sarah: I come home in the morning light My mother says when you gonna live your life right Oh mother dear we're not the fortunate ones And girls they want to have fun Oh girls just want to have fun The phone rings in the middle of the night My father yells what you gonna do with your life Oh daddy dear you know you're still number one But girls they want to have fun Oh girls just want to have That's all they really want  Some fun When the working day is done Girls - they want to have fun Oh girls just want to have fun Some boys take a beautiful girl And hide her away from the rest of the world I want to be the one to walk in the sun Oh girls they want to have fun Oh girls just want to have That's all they really want Some fun When the working day is done Girls - they want to have fun Oh girls just want to have fun, They want to have fun, They want to have fun...
  • (Girls Just Wanna Have Fun ends)
  • Sarah: I knew I'd be the victor.
  • Mr. Conductor 3: Step right up for another Thomas Story.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Be very steady.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Cause Thomas had a big mishap.
  • (Mr. Conductor 1 blows his whistle and Thomas Comes To Breakfast starts)
  • (Thomas' whistle toots)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Thomas the Tank Engine has worked his Branch Line for many years, and knows it very well.
  • (Thomas arrives at the station)
  • Thomas' Driver: You know just where to stop, Thomas.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Laughed his driver.
  • Thomas' Driver: You could almost manage it without you.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Thomas had become concided. He didn't realize his driver was joking. Later, he boasted to the others.
  • Thomas: Driver says I don't need him now.
  • Percy: Don't be so daft.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Snorted Percy.
  • Toby: I never go without my driver.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said Toby earnestly.
  • Toby: I'd be frightened.
  • Thomas: Pooh!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Boasted Thomas.
  • Thomas: I'm not scared.
  • Toby: You never dare.
  • Thomas: I would then. You'll see.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: The next day the firelighter came. Thomas drowzed comfortably as the warmth spread into his boiler. Percy and Toby were still asleep. Thomas suddenly remembered.
  • Thomas: Silly stick-in-the-muds!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: He chuckled.
  • Thomas: I'll show them! Driver says I can manage without him. I'll just go out and then I'll stop and "wheesh!" That'll make them jump.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Thomas thought he was being clever and really he was only moving because a careless cleaner had medal with his controls. He soon found his mistake. He tried to "wheesh!", but he couldn't. He tried to stop, but he couldn't. He just kept rolling along. He didn't dare what it look what's coming next. There was the stationmaster's house! The stationmaster was about to have breakfast.
  • Thomas: Horrors!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Cried Thomas, and shut his eyes. The house rocked, broken glass tinkled, plaster was everywhere. Thomas had collected the bush on his travels. He peered into his room through his leaves. He couldn't speak. The stationmaster was furious. His wife picked up her plate.
  • Stationmaster's Wife: You miserable engine!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: She scolded.
  • Stationmaster's Wife: Just look what you've done to our breakfast! Now I'll shall have to cook some more!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: She banged the door. More plaster fell. This time it fell on Thomas. Thomas felt depressed. Workmen propped out the house with strong poles and layed rails through the garden. Then, the scottish twin engines Donald and Douglas arrived.
  • (Donald and Douglas' whistles toot)
  • Donald and Douglas: Dinna fash yourself, Thomas. We'll soon have you back on the rails.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: They laughed. (Donald and Douglas rescuing Thomas) Donald and Douglas puffing hard manage to haul Thomas back to safety. Bits of fencing, the bush, and a broken window frame festooned was front, which was badly twisted. The twins laughed and left him. (Donald and Douglas' whistles toot) Thomas was indisgraced. There was worst to come.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You're in a lot of trouble, Thomas.
  • Thomas: I know, Sir. I'm sorry, Sir.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Thomas' voice was muffled behind his bush.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You must go to the works and have your worn parts mended. It will be a long job.
  • Thomas: Yes, Sir.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Meanwhile, a Diesel Rail-car will do your work.
  • Thomas: A d-d-d-diesel, sir?
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Thomas spluttered.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Yes, Thomas. Diesels always stay in their sheds till they are wanted. Diesels never gallanting off to breakfast in Stationmasters' houses.
  • (Thomas Comes To Breakfast ends)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Remember, Thomas had his own fault for a mishap.
