Kuiper Belt states

The Kuiper Belt (see Kuiper Belt in VESS) is home to 17 individual states that are members of the Outworld Alliance. Their political systems and economic policies vary and sometimes even change over time. The Empire of Spectra, which is a former member of the Alliance, is viewed by these states as a major threat, and they have an ally in the Neptunian Imperium. The Kuiper Belt states thrive by relying on the mining of water ice, minerals, and metals to a large degree in on the various comets, ice-and-rock asteroids, and dwarf planets (and moons of dwarf planets sometimes) in the local neighborhood.
