Lance and Morissette

Lance and Morissette are two fictional people created by John "Freshman/Tripod" Tubergen during warm-ups for the 2007 Ship of Fools/Andy Ober Orchestra Show.

While playing a round of What Are You Doing the name of pop singer Alanis Morisette came up to Beard, who still had no idea who she was from her mention several nights earlier. When it came to asking Tripod what he was doing, he said he was doing something with "Lance and Morissette," in an ill-fated attempt to make another Alanis Morissette joke. Unbeknownst to Tripod, he did...albeit slightly incorrectly.

After everyone was done laughing, SOG was done writing the names down, and Ryan was finished explaining to John that Alanis Morissette was in fact one person, the game continued.

Morissette has been a recurring name in the Ship of Fools recently. Previously, she was unsuccessfully bitched about by SOG during a game of Bitch Concerto at the November 1, 2006 Hawkins Hall show, and her album, "Jagged Little Pill" has been used in a Do Run rhyme by Benji.

This phenomenon is unknown, since she has not been popular since about 1997, and possesses minimal talent at best.
