Law school outlines are study aids used by law school students. Law school students create these outlines to serve as a condensed summary of what they learned throughout the semester in the respective class. Outlines generally consist of the main topics/ideas taught along with relevant cases and their brief summaries. These outlines are often passed down from older students, downloaded online from various websites, or purchased in the form of commercial outlines in bookstores. Many of the aforementioned sites warn that relying on such outlines alone will not be sufficient to prepare for an exam.
