Wikipedia is the best example of a self organising large group I’ve come across. I continue to be amazed at how this works. I think a major part is that every action is logged and recorded so that disruptive behaviour is quickly detected and its origin known . The individual can then have their behaviour played back to them via the page history links. Its the ultimate surveillance society. This encourages constructive behaviour and destructive individuals are easily excluded. I wonder how much of facilitation is the same thing. By feeding back and exposing disruptive behaviour we mute it and enable the group to be more creative. Lumos3 09:52, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
