The following is a list of awards for the Ship of Fools. Most, if not all, come from the Annual Ship of Fools Awards.

Contents

[edit] Annual Awards

[edit] Human Pyramid Award

Ballot Description: Given to the Fool who is *always funny* (or most like a polyhedron formed by connecting an n-sided polygonal base and an apex point).

  • Notes: This award, inspired by Andy's Maxim, celebrates the core reason for the existence of the Ship of Fools - comedy.
  • See: Andy's Maxim

[edit] Rookie of the Year Award

Ballot Description: Given to the Fool who joined the Ship this year and has made an outstanding and hilarious debut to the improv team.

  • Notes: Obviously, for first-year Fools only.
  • See:

[edit] MVF Award

Ballot Description: Given to the Fool with an outstanding commitment to the Ship through comedy and leadership.

  • Notes: This award emphasizes not only humor but also leadership, including (but not limited to): hosting, officer positions, and leading practices/events.
  • See:

[edit] Best Show Award

Ballot Description: Vote for your favorite Ship of Fools show this year.

[edit] Huzzah! Performer of the Year Award

Ballot Description: Given to the Fool whose overall performance and hilarity should not go unmentioned.

[edit] Most Improv-ed Award

Ballot Description: Stale comedy is boring like the stock markets- vote for the Fool who has improved the most this year.

  • Notes: The comment about stock markets came about during a particularly slow game of Countdown 1.0.
  • See: Countdown 1.0

[edit] Do-Run Master

Ballot Description: Who won Do-Run (or Do Rap) the most? Who should’ve won? Now’s your chance to vote for the Fool with the best rhymes.

  • Notes: Do Run Run is an incredibly popular game, and even the greats have had moments of brilliance and humility, so rights for Do Run Master are heavily contested.
  • See: Do Run Run

[edit] Best Impersonation Award

Ballot Description: Once in a while a Fool comes along who does a better Meatwad than Meatwad. Vote for the best impersonation done by a Fool.

  • Notes: Scott "Klaus" Parker's brief stay with the Ship of Fools included an incredibly accurate impersonation of Meatwad, hence the award.
  • See: Meatwad on Wikipedia

[edit] The Last Action Hero

Ballot Description: Puns are an improv staple- this award goes to the Fool with the endless groan-inducing puns for any occasion.

[edit] Attendance Award

Ballot Description: Vote for the Fool with the best attendance. Or the worst. Either way, it’s a good award.

  • Notes: Kyle spent an entire semester in England, which made her acceptance of this award even funnier.
  • See: Kyle's absence

[edit] Golden d20 of Merit

Ballot Description: There’s nothing quite like making a slide rule or meniscus joke- vote for the nerdiest Fool.

[edit] Dr. Know It All

Ballot Description: Two hundred shows later, we still make “engines with ears” jokes. Vote for the Fool with the most esoteric knowledge, the most fun facts, the worst segues…

[edit] Order of Charlie

Ballot Description: Part of our job is to imitate and pretend- this most prestigious award goes to the Fool who best incorporates suggestions into their scenes through acting, mime, voice, and actions.
