Energetic, hyperactive and random, she is the more ridiculous side of the duo when compared to Buster's cool, more controlled self. One of her trademark abilities is her ease for performing impersonations of celebrities or of her friends (during the feature It's a Wonderful Tiny Toons Christmas Special for instance, she appears as Cher). A recurring joke within the series involves Babs and Buster each stating their names, and then saying "No relation!" in unison. An entire episode was dedicated to the fact that she had no mentor and she discovered Honey, Bosko's girlfriend. Lola Bunny is her mentor but she first appeared in the 1996 film Space Jam six years later. Babs real name is Barbara Ann Bunny as stated in one episode. Even though Barky starred in his very own short entitled Go Fetch with Elmyra Duff, as well as making many cameo appearances on other episodes, appearing in the special Tiny Toon Adventures: Spring Break Special and the movie Tiny Toon Adventures: How I Spent My Vacation, Barky Marky was still referenced and mocked for his lack of appearances on the Saturday Night Live spoof Weekday Afternoon Live. When Buster Bunny is reading the news out loud from the viewers complaining about him not being in enough episodes, Babs Bunny, posing as a Tiny Toons casting director, asks "Who's Barky Marky?"

Buster's Best friends include Babs Bunny, Plucky Duck, and Hamton J. Pig. They are the show's four main characters, and often hang out and have adventures together. Buster is also friends with Dizzy Devil, Furrball, Fowlmouth, Gogo Dodo, and Li'l Sneezer, but to a lesser extent. A few of Buster's enemies include Montana Max and Elmyra Duff.

Calamity is also shown to be scientifically proficient, constructing random devices for the other characters. He also pursues Little Beeper unsuccessfully. Like Wile E. Coyote, Calamity's devices also frequently malfunction, although not nearly as frequent as his mentor and some were actually successes where Wile E. Coyote has far fewer to his name. Claudia Cat

Claudia Cat is a bit tomboyish cat, based on Claude Cat, not worrying too much about etiquette or her reputation, and hangs out with the male characters. Sometimes she can be more of a slob than her friends. She can also be very greedy when it comes to money (a lot like Monty. He also happens to be her arch nemesis,) and will do just about anything for a dollar. On the plus side, however, she is very willing to make friends with those who aren't very popular, and is able to see the good in almost anyone.

Her story was that she was the pet in a very wealthy family that moved to Acme Acres, becoming the second richest family in town. Every day she was pampered by maids and served the finest caviar on a silver platter. Most of the time, however, she was rude and snobbish and took the family for granted.
Then one day, the father surprised his family with a new puppy. Claudia hated the puppy and did every thing she could To make his life a living hell, but her attempts were often futile, and got her into trouble.
One day, while chasing the puppy, she made a horrible mess, destroying everything the family held precious, and making the puppy cry from scratching his nose. She was kicked out of her cushy lifestyle and out to the streets. Not knowing how to survive on her own, and very hungry, she stole some food right from under the nose of a huge, mean dog. Having only one experience with a dog, Claudia had no idea how strong some could be. luckily, she escaped with only a few scratches.
Distraught, she finally collapsed in a dark alley.
She woke up to find a strange cat standing over her. He offered her some food and a blanket. She was hesitant to accept this dirty alley cat's offer, but was also very cold and hungry. She and the strange cat talked all night long, and she began to feel friendlier towards him. He told her about where all the best dumpsters are, which dogs to avoid, and to never ever get near a can of white paint.
He told her about his school. Claudia had never been to a school before, and wanted to see it. She found it was full of middle-class, but very friendly people who she wanted to meet. Soon Claudia came to learn a world beyond her pillow, and she liked it.

Duncan Potter

Duncan Potter (voiced by Ben Ryan Ganger) is a minor character on Tiny Toon Adventures. He is a toddler rabbit with purple fur who wears glasses and a green striped shirt.

Duncan Potter is not to be confused with Duncan Duff, Elmyra's younger brother from the episodes, Take Elmyra Please and Grandma's Dead.

Elmer Fudd

Elmer Fudd is a Looney Tunes star who now teaches at Acme Looniversity. He is the mentor and favorite teacher of Elmyra Duff. On the Looney Tunes shorts, he is usually depicted as a hunter and one of Bugs Bunny's archenemies.

Although Elmer was one of Looney Tunes' main antagonists, he is rarely depicted as an antagonist on Tiny Toon Adventures.

Elmyra Duff

Elmyra Duff (voiced by Cree Summer) is a redheaded girl. She wears a blue blouse, a white skirt, black Mary Janes over white socks and a blue bow with a skull at the center. (Some fans believe the skull in her bow is the skull of her very first pet, who died when she was little.) Based on Elmer Fudd, she is a total role reversal of Elmer; instead of hunting animals for sport, she hunts to care for them to selfish lengths, such as hugging ang squeezing them to death (sometimes literally), and often diapering the animals (such as Plucky in the pollution Solution episode segment, No Deposit, No Return of the Trash Bag Dispenser). She is one of the few human characters in the series, and like the animal characters, she attends Acme Looniversity where she also serves as the nurse to the point of sometimes duplicating herself like in The Acme Bowl where two Elmyras are skipping happily carrying injured players off the football field in the game against Perfecto Prep. Elmyra is obsessed with having animals as pets, and will chase them or trap them in order to take them to her house, where she locks them in cages, only taking them out to squeeze them or play with them as if they were dolls, with death being the implied result of her affection (one episode depicts a massive pet cemetery in her backyard). The fate of Elmyra's pets is well known to all; for this reason, her appearances are often preceded by a stampede of fleeing animals, amongst which cast regulars can also be seen trying to escape. After the stampede often comes a happily skipping Elmyra. Another trademark of the character is her ignorance; she is unaware that her affection is in fact a form of torture, even when confronted by the zombies of former pets come from the grave to exact revenge; in her mind, she is a dedicated, loving pet enthusiast whose pets tend to die quickly in her care. Thus, she is more of a polar opposite of Elmer Fudd; while he hunts animals, but can never kill them, Elmyra loves them, but often kills them in the process. Although she does not mean to abuse her animals, she doesn't understand the negative consequences of her behavior. One of the few animals she dislikes is Hamton J. Pig, for she thinks he is a dirty pig in need of a good bath, which is ironic, as Hamton is obsessed with cleanliness and dislikes filth and bad ododrs. Elmyra is also shown to have a crush on Montana Max, doting on him lovingly and thoroughly enjoying every moment in his presence, despite his insistence that she leave him alone. She believes that Monty is too shy to admit his real feelings for her, and she is one of Monty's only friends.

In his first appearance, he was even shown to pepper all of his sentences with profanity, but curbs this when children are around. Furrball is usually depicted as living in a cardboard box in an alleyway, although other times he is shown as one of Elmyra's pets and briefly had a home with Mary Melody. He's often a quite peaceful and innocent character, but he's also one of the most unfortunate characters in the show, since he's almost always chased, abused or bullied. He is less anthropomorphic in nature than the other animal characters, generally walking on all fours and almost always a mute, except for typical cat sounds. In the episode, Buster and the Wolverine, it is revealed that Furrball speaks. He is based on Sylvester as well Penelope Pussycat. During one of the series episodes, in which a roadshow owner kidnaps several Wackyland creatures to attract a better audience, Dodo explains that he and his fellow inhabits weaken and can even fade from existence entirely if they are out of Wackyland for too long. According to series writer Paul Dini, Gogo is the only member of the Tiny Toon Adventures cast who was a direct relative of one of the Looney Tunes characters; He was the son of Yoyo Dodo the original dodo from the 1938 Looney Tunes cartoon Porky in Wackyland.

He is portrayed as a very wealthy character, living in a mansion and not having any friends.

Montana Max's goal is to bring misery into the life of the happy-go-lucky Buster Bunny, although he is not fond of anyone in Acme Acres. He thinks Babs is a scatterbrain, and his only use for Plucky is as a pawn in one of his schemes. He thinks Elmyra is a drippy little nerd, but she is one of his only friends, and he will occasionally call on her to help him pester Buster and Babs. Elmyra loves the attention and figures her "boyfriend" has come along to appreciate her at last.

Roderick "Roddy" Rat and Rhubella Rat are minor characters and students from Perfecto Prep, a rival school of Acme Looniversity. Roderick and Rhubella are rivals of Buster Bunny and Babs Bunny, and voiced by Charles Adler and Tress MacNeille respectively, who also voice Buster and Babs. They are portrayed as snooty, rich brats who believe they are above everyone else, but always get outdone and outsmarted by the bunny duo.

Roderick Rat appears in most of the Tiny Toon Adventures video games, usually as a minion to Montana Max. Almost every video game he's in depicts him as being purple. Exceptions include Buster's Hidden Treasure for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive, Babs' Big Break, Montana's Movie Madness, and Wacky Sports for the Game Boy, and Scary Dreams/Buster's Bad Dream for the Game Boy Advance. Rhubella appears as an enemy in the city level of Tiny Toon Adventures for the NES.

Although Roderick and Rhubella are clearly meant to be the evil counterparts of Buster and Babs, some fans believe they are meant to be the Tiny Toons counterparts to Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the title mascots of the Walt Disney company. Ruffee is not specifically based on a pre-existing Looney Tunes character, rather, he is a parody of the famous children's singer, Raffi Cavoukain. However, some fans say he is similar to Giovanni Jones, the musician from the Bugs Bunny cartoon, Long-Haired Hare. Ruffee's lack of patience toward children is based on a true story; early in his career, Raffi found it difficult to perform for his target audience (children under the age of three) because their tiny attention spans were distracting to him and the rest of the audience.

  • Bulstrode - Thomas and Friends

Shirley McLoon

Shirley "the Loon" McLoon, a female waterfowl, is a citizen of Acme Acres featured in Tiny Toon Adventures. Shirley is one of the few characters of the show not directly inspired by an existing Looney Tunes character, but she bears more than a passing resemblance to Melissa Duck. Although she seems reasonably intelligent, she speaks with a thick Valley girl accent and is obsessed with superficial New Age paraphernalia. Her name is derived from fellow New Age aficionado Shirley MacLaine, while the latter part of the name is an obvious pun. More often than not, characters refer to Shirley as "Shirley the Loon" rather than "Shirley McLoon." She appears not to notice the negative connotations of the nickname, and, in fact, the mantra she recites while meditating is "Oh, what a loon I am." Shirley is often pursued romantically by Plucky Duck and Fowlmouth. When not meditating or fortune-telling, Shirley hangs out with her Acme Looniversity classmates Babs Bunny and Fifi La Fume.

In one episode, while attending a high school dance, Shirley gets doused with red punch (driving her into a tranquil fury as seen in the movie Carrie), then proceeds to flood the gym with her telekinetic powers.

Shirley is a keen ballerina who has to face prejudice when attending an upmarket ballet school otherwise attended exclusively by Perfecto Prep swans. Jealous at her superior dance skills, they mock her accent and try to sabotage her performance at their recital, but are soon thwarted by Shirley's nimble moves and a behind-the-scenes Babs, staging a sabotage of her own.

Shirley does not have an end tag.

Shirley is voiced by Saturday Night Live and Laugh Trax alumna Gail Matthius. Matthius's voice for Shirley the Loon is loosely based on the one she uses for her recurring character, Valley Girl Vicki (who appeared on both SNL and Laugh Trax).

In these cartoons, the antagonist (Furrball/Sylvester) tries to catch and eat the protagonist (Sneezer/Speedy), but ends up failing because of the protagonist having either hurricane-force sneezes (Sneezer) or lightning-fast speed (Speedy). Lightning Rodriguez is actually based completely on Speedy (whereas Sneezer is based more on Sniffles).

Sweetie Pie

She is based on the older version of Tweety Bird, and is regularly pursued by Furrball as Tweety is pursued by Sylvester. Vinnie also appears briefly in the direct-to-video full-length feature film, Tiny Toon Adventures: How I Spent My Vacation, sporting the "new box look," when Dizzy Devil loses all of his fur by spinning in the summertime heat and puts a box over his "nude" body because of his embarrassment.

She tried to use the two in a recipe like Hazel, turning Babs into a real rabbit and summoning her cutlery to try and kill Buster, but she got turned into a goldfish. Sandy wears a cute disguise, but she is actually as hideous looking as Hazel. Unlike Hazel, she is more straight-forward terrifying than her Looney Tunes counterpart.
