Lorad was an 11th Century Tresidian warrior who lead the Tresidian defense at the Battle of Revod. Although the defense was ultimately successful, Lorad was injured or the last day of the battle and died not far from the battle site. The Monument of Lorad commemorating the victory was erected with Jakistani funding in the early 1930's.
Ursidians view Lorad with moderate respect, although not as a warrior, because they believe that he never met them in open combat. Also, historians of the time claim that Lorad actually drank himself to death, or was injured in celebration of his 'victory' over the Ursidians.
