Madeline and the Dog Show is the second Episode of Madeline's First Season.
The Episode is written by Betty G. Birney and directed by D.B. Sweeney. The Episode guest stars Harvey Fierstein, Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella as the Judges, Dan Castellaneta, Rob Paulson, John Erwin, Ernest Borgnine and Robert De Niro as competitors, John Lennon as the Police Officer and John Cleese as the Mayor.

The concept for the Episode developed by Writer Betty G. Birney coming up with a long list of things Genevieve is very good at. Sweeney loved the list so much, he decides to Direct the Episode for the first time. Birney wrote the Script by herself in her Room at Disney. According to James L. Brooks, Sweeney made a contribution to the Script.
D.B. Sweeney, Jim Henson, Frank Oz and Matt Groening animated the Song "Perfect Dog" Composed by Robert Lopez and written by Jeff Marx with James L. Brooks as the Director. According to Al Jean, George Meyer and Matt Groening laughed while watching the Hilarious Dog Competition Sequence. Meyer comented "I think he's been guest starred in The Simpsons, don't you think Matt?".
