Madeline on Stage is the thirty-first and last episode of Madeline's Seventh Season. This is Kelsey Grammer's first episode as a Guest Star, he agreed to do the voice of Mr. Hamislavski.

The episode was written by D.B. Sweeney and Walt Disney based on the Story Idea by Betty G. Birney and Jim Henson and was directed by Don Bluth and Gary Goldman. It won a Emmy Award for "Outstanding Original Song", "Outstanding Animated Program" and an Annie Award for "Outstanding Music in a Television Production" for the song "The Play's the thing" Composed by Alf Clausen with Lyrics by Tim Rice and other Emmy Awards for "Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction and Composition" and Kelsey Grammer also won an Emmy for "Outstanding Performer in a Children's Series".



Betty G. Birney and Jim Henson came up the idea of the Girls acting everyday and everynight. Walt Disney and D.B. Sweeney wrote the Teleplay for the Episode.
