Martian-Jovian asteroid belt in ITT universe

The Martian-Jovian asteroid belt is officially considered part off Mars Province of the Imperium of the Terran Throne (see also Government of Imperium of the Terran Throne and Mars in ITT universe), though there are independent populations in this belt which are often anti-Imperium, and sometimes allied with the Martian Free Alliance on the planet Mars. The Imperial presence in the local asteroid belt in headquartered on the dwarf planet Ceres and mostly A.I. robots and computers and the rest mostly chimeras. The independent settlements in the local belt are most likely to be nautrally-born (non-clone) humans. The Imperial presence in this asteroid belt is mainly asteroid mining for metals and minerals, with the independent populations often resorting to piracy against the forces of the Imperium. The government of the Terran Throne and Earth-based private business interests own and operate the Imperial Asteroid Belt Mining Consortium.
