  • May: Good luck.

  • (The Conductors appear)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Good going.
  • Ash: Yeah.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Reminds me of a car named Scruffey.
  • Krystal: Did Oliver deal with him?
  • Mr. Conductor 1: You'll see.
  • (Mr. Conductor 1 blows his whistle and Toad Stands By starts)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Oliver had been to the works to be mended. Some troublesome cars tricked him, and the great western engine fell into the turntable well. Now Oliver was as good as new, be he was still worried about cars.
  • Oliver: I rather not used them.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: He puffed to himself. But the cars sang songs rude and loud. Scruffey, their leader, led the chorus.
  • Cars and Scruffey: Oliver's no use at all, thinks he's very clever, says that he can manage us, that's the best joke ever, when he orders us about, with the greatest folly, we just pushed him down the well, Pop Goes Old Ollie!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Thomas, Duck and Percy were shocked.
  • Thomas: Be quiet!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: They ordered, but they couldn't be anywhere, and everywhere they went, the cars began again.
  • Cars: Oliver's no use at all, thinks he's very clever, says that he can manage us, that's the best joke ever!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: At last the engines gave up.
  • Thomas: We're sorry, Oliver.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: They said.
  • Oliver: It's really my fault.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said Oliver sadly.
  • Oliver: I shouldn't fallen into the turntable well.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Toad the break van felt sorry for Oliver too. Next morning, he spoke to Douglas.
  • Toad: I'm worried, Mr. Douglas. This disrespect for engines. Where's it going to end?
  • Douglas: Who knows?
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Sighed Douglas.
  • Toad: I've got a plan, Mr. Douglas. May I stay here tonight and help Mr. Oliver? We're both Great Western, and must stand together.
  • Douglas: Certainly, Toad.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Replied Douglas and puffed away. Soon, Toad was explaining his plan.
  • Duck: Goodness gracious, Toad. I don't think you suggest such a thing to Oliver.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: But Oliver interrupted.
  • Oliver: No, Duck, Toad's right. It's really my fault. I must put this trouble right.
  • Toad: I meant no disrespect you understand.
  • Oliver: Of course not, Toad. Anywhere, driver says the same and he's arranged with the stationmaster.
  • Duck: Very well, Oliver.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Concided Duck.
  • Duck: But I must hurry. My passengers will be waiting. Good luck.
  • Oliver: So long.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Smiled Oliver bravely, but he felt dreadfully nervous inside. Oliver marshalled with the worst cars two by two.
  • Toad: That's the way, Mr. Oliver.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Whispered Toad.
  • Toad: And if you hadn't leave Scruffey till last, then you'll have him behind you. You can bump him if he starts his nonsense.
  • Scruffey: Hold back, hold back!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Whispered Scruffey.
  • Scruffey: And pass the word to the others.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: The silly cars giggled, but Oliver knew what to do. There was plenty of sand on the rails and his wheels gripped splendidly. He gave a great heave.
  • Scruffey: Ooh!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Groaned Scruffey.
  • Scruffey: I don't like this!
  • Duck: Go on!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Yelled Duck.
  • Duck: Well done, boy, well done!
  • Scruffey: Oh!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Wailed Scruffey.
  • Scruffey: I'm coming apart!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: And he did. Then there was trouble.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Well, Oliver, so you don't know your own strength, is that it?
  • Oliver: No, sir.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said Oliver nervously. Sir Topham Hatt inspected Scruffey.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: As I thought. Rotten wood rusty frames. Maybe if we put you back together, you'll learn yourself a better name.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Nowadays, Oliver only takes freight cars when the other engines were busy. But they always quick to warn each other.
  • Cars: Take care with Mr. Oliver. If you play tricks on him, you'll never be the same car again!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Scruffey has learned his lesson and says nothing at all.
  • (Toad Stands By ends)
  • Krystal: I see. Oliver took a deal on Scruffey.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: That's why he's great western.
  • (The Conductors disappear)
  • Ash: I really love you, little sister.
  • Mary: Thanks, big brother.
  • Marina: Why don't you and i play Shirley Fenette.
  • Bailey: Certainly.
  • (End of Part 1)

  • Forrest: (kissing May's hand) Your gloves are great. Shall we dance?
  • May: Certainly.
  • (May and Forrest start dancing)
  • (We cut to Bailey and Marina in Shirley Fenette outfits and opaque nude tights)
  • Bailey: Ah, those forgotten memories.
  • Marina: Our feet are cute.
  • Bailey: We love nude tights, Marina.
  • Marina: Better than stockings, Bailey.
  • Bailey: You'll never see it.
  • Marina: Really?
  • Bailey: Of course.
  • Marina: (giggles)
  • Bailey: (giggles also)
  • (The Conductors reappear)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Hee hee hee is a sound for giggling.
  • Marina: That's right.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Reminds me of Thomas and the letter.
  • Bailey: Thomas really liked letters.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: I'll soon tell.
  • (Mr. Conductor 1 blows his whistle and Thomas and The Special Letter starts)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: One evening, Thomas brought his last train to the junction. Percy was glad to see him.
  • Percy: Are you on your way to the big station, Thomas?
  • Thomas: Yes I am. Why?
  • Percy: Because I'm going there too.
  • Thomas: I think something's up.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Toby looked up in the sky.
  • Toby: Where?
  • Thomas: Not up there, down here.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Laughed Thomas.
  • Toby: How come something be up when it's down?
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Thomas was too excited to explain.
  • Thomas: Bust my buffers! Look over there!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Mavis, BoCo, Bill, Ben, Donald, Oliver and Douglas paraded past.
  • Donald: Good evening, you three.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Whistled Donald.
  • Donald: Aren't we all a fine sight?
  • Toby: Very splendid indeed.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Admired Toby.
  • Donald: Sorry we can't stop. Sir Topham Hatt wants us all together at the station.
  • Thomas: What is this about?
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Asked Thomas.
  • Driver: Sir Topham Hatt has a plan.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Answered his driver.
  • Driver: Come on.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: So they followed the other engines to the big station at the end of the line.
  • (Engines whistling)
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Silence!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Called Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I have an important letter to read from a little girl who is five years old. Dear Thomas and all the engines, please can I meet you? My friends say they would like to meet you too. You can come to my house for tea, but my mummy says there aren't any railway tracks in my house. Can you come to the station instead? Thank you very much. It seems...
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Continued Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: ...that there any many girls and boys who would like to meet you. Therefore, we are all going to the big city faraway.
  • Engines: Hooray! Hooray!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: The engines whistled.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Silence! Other engines will be working here while you were away so please show them what to do.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: As Annie and Clarabel are going to the big city, Thomas and Oliver practice with some other coaches. Thomas grew more and more excited. Too excited for his own good.
  • Thomas: I'm glad I'm a splendid engine.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: He puffed.
  • Thomas: Sir Topham Hatt thinks I'm really useful engine. I had a race with Bertie once. I whooshed through the tunnel and stopped in inch from the buffers.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Then Thomas made his mistake.
  • Thomas: Just like this!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: He boasted. No one was hurt, but Thomas' front was badly bent. They telephoned to Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I'll send up the workmen.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: He said.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: But if they can't mend Thomas in time, we'll have to go to the big city without him.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Poor Thomas. 8:00 next morning, the engines waited at the junction. Toby and Percy reached on the truck, and Duck had pushed them into place behind Edward. Gordon, James and Henry are ready to lead off. They whistled impatiently. Sir Topham Hatt looked at his watch.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I'll wait one more minute for Thomas and then we have to go.
  • Thomas: Oh, thank goodness you're still here.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Panted Thomas.
  • Annie and Clarabel: I hope we're not late as it's just after eight.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: The conductor blew his whistle and waved his flag. The engines cheered.
  • Engines: Look out, big city, here we come!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: And the cavalcade puffed away. Later at the big city, all the engines were lined up in their splendid shed. Children were delighted to meet their friends.
  • Thomas: I'm glad the little girl wrote to us.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Whispered Thomas to Percy.
  • Thomas: Isn't it wonderful what happiness a letter can bring?
  • (Thomas and The Special Letter ends)
  • Bailey: Thomas sure got a letter.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: From a little girl.
  • (The Conductors disappear)
  • Marina: We love this game.
  • Bailey: It's our favorite.
  • Marina: Let's continue playing.
  • Bailey: Right.
  • (End of Part 2)

Part 3

  • (We see May and Forrest still dancing to music at the convention)
  • Forrest (spinning May like a top): Round and round.
  • May: Oh, Forrest.
  • (May and Forrest continue dancing)
  • (We cut to Bailey and Marina having fun while the conductors reappear)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Cute girls in nude tights.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: That's what they say.
  • (The Conductors shake hands as the episode ends)
  • (End of Part 3)
