Transcript

Narrator: "Mickey was waiting at a junction when a dog arrived."

Mickey: "Hello,"

Narrator: "Said Mickey."

Mickey: "Who are you?"

Pluto: "I'm Pluto. Who are you?"

Mickey: "I'm Mickey. I run this forest."

Pluto: "So you're Mickey, eh? I remember now. You got stuck in the snow. I took your passengers and Lumiere the Candle pulled you out. I've come to help you with your passengers today."

Mickey: "Help me?"

Narrator: "Said Mickey."

Mickey: "I can go faster than you."

Pluto: "You can't."

Narrator: "Said Pluto."

Mickey: "I can!"

Narrator: "Huffed Mickey."

Pluto: "I'll race you."

Narrator: "Said Pluto.

Their Animators agreed to the race going ahead.

The Animator said,

Animator: "Are you ready? Go!"

Narrator: "Mickey never could go fast at first, and Pluto drew in front.

Mia and Tia: "Why don't you go fast? Why don't you go fast?"

Narrator: "Called Mia and Tia."

Mickey: "Wait and see, wait and see."

Narrator: "Hissed Mickey."

Mia and Tia: "He's a long way ahead!"

Narrator: "They wailed.

But Mickey didn't mind. He'd remembered the level crossing.

There was Pluto, waiting at the gates, while they sailed gaily through."

Mickey: "Goodbye, Pluto!"

Narrator: "Called Mickey.

After that, the paths left each other, so they couldn't see Pluto.

Then, they had to stop at the station to let off passengers."

Narrator: "Peep peep peep! Quickly, please!"

Narrator: "Called Mickey, and off they went again."

Mickey: "Come along, come along!"

Narrator: "Sang Mickey."

Mia and Tia: "We're coming along, we're coming along!"

Narrator: "Sang Mia and Tia."

Mickey: "Hurry, hurry, hurry!"

Narrator: "Panted Mickey, then he looked ahead. There was Pluto, barking triumphantly."

Mickey: "Oh, dearie me. Oh, dearie me."

Narrator: "Groaned Mickey."

Mickey's Animator: "Steady, Mickey."

Narrator: "Said his animator."

Mickey's Animator: "We'll beat Pluto yet."

Mia and Tia: "We'll beat Pluto yet, we'll beat Pluto yet."

Narrator: "Echoed Mia and Tia."

Mickey: "We'll do it, we'll do it."

Narrator: "Panted Mickey."

Mickey: "Oh, bother! There's a station."

Narrator: "Then, he heard Pluto."

Pluto: "Goodbye, Mickey! You must be tired. Sorry I can't stop. We dogs have to work, you know. Good-bye."

Mickey: "Oh, dear."

Narrator: "Thought Mickey."

Mickey: "We've lost."

Narrator: "But he felt better after a drink.

The signal dropped."

Mickey: "Hurrah, we're off! Hurrah, we're off!"

Narrator: "Puffed Mickey.

As they crossed the bridge, they heard an impatient bark.

There was Pluto, waiting at the traffic lights.

He started with a roar, and chased on after Mickey again.

Now, Mickey reached his full speed. Pluto tried hard, but Mickey was too fast.

Whistling triumphantly, he plunged into the tunnel, leaving Pluto far behind."

Mickey: "I've done it! I've done it!"

Narrator: "Panted Mickey."

Mia and Tia: "We've done it, hooray! We've done it, hooray!"

Narrator: "Chanted Mia and Tia, as they whooshed into the last station.

Everyone was there to celebrate Mickey's victory, but they gave Pluto a big welcome, too."

Pluto: "Well done, Mickey!"

Narrator: "Said Pluto."

Pluto: "That was fun. But to beat you over that hill, I should have to grow wings and be an airplane!"

Narrator: "They now keep each other very busy. They often talk about their race. But Pluto's passengers don't like being bounced like peas in a frying pan, and Professor Porter has warned Mickey not to race at dangerous speeds, so although, between you and me, they would like to have another race, I don't think they ever will, do you?"
