Part 1

  • (We see Ash, the gang and Misty at the station)
  • Ash: Are you excited about Rudy?
  • Misty: Right, Ash.
  • Mitchie: Here he comes.
  • Rudy: Hello, Misty.
  • Misty: Hi, Rudy. This is Togepi.
  • Togepi: (squeals cheerfully)
  • Rudy: What an interesting Pokemon.
  • Mary: Are you gonna show me Mahri.
  • Mahri: Hi, Mary.
  • Mary: Mahri!
  • (Mr. Conductor 1 appears)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Say how do you like this.
  • Ash: Mr. Coductor 1. Misty and Rudy are in love with each other.
  • Skeeter: We're putting a date for them.
  • Kimiko: But, Misty has to use her Shirley Fenette outfit.
  • Zak: Kimiko's right. Girls have to wear Shirley Fenette outfits.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Reminds me of Daisy's visit to the Island of Sodor. I'll tell you.
  • (Mr. Conductor 1 blows his whistle and Daisy starts)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Percy and Toby were worried. Thomas' recent accident had caused a great deal of trouble, and Sir Topham Hatt was waiting with them with important news.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Here is Daisy the Diesel Rail-car, who has come to help while Thomas is...indisposed.
  • Percy: Please, sir, will she go when Thomas comes back, sir?
  • Sir Topham Hatt: That depends.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Meanwhile, however long she stays, I hope you will both make her welcome and comfortable.
  • Percy and Toby: Yes, sir, we'll try, sir.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said the engines.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Good. Run along now and show her the shed. She will want a rest after her journey.
  • (Percy's whistle toots, Daisy's horn blows and Toby's bell rang)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Daisy was not easy to pleased. She shuddered at the engine shed.
  • Daisy: This is dreadfully smelly. I'm highly sprung, and anything smelly is bad for my swerves.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Next, they tried the carriage shed.
  • (Percy's whistle toots, Toby's bell rang and Daisy's horn blows)
  • Daisy: This is better.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said Daisy.
  • Daisy: But whatever is that rubbish?
  • Mr. Conductor 1: The rubbish turned out to be Annie, Clarabel and Henrietta who were most offended.
  • Annie: We won't stay here to be insulted.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: They fumed. Percy and Toby had to take them away and spend half the night soothing their hurt feelings.
  • (Toby's bell rang)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: The engines woke next morning feeling exhausted. Daisy, on the other hand, felt bright and cheerful.
  • Daisy: Oooh! Oooh!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: She tooted, as she came out of the yard and back to the station.
  • Daisy: Look at me.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: She purred to the passengers.
  • Daisy: I'm the latest diesel, highly sprung and right up to date. You won't want Thomas' bumpy old Annie and Clarabel now.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: The passengers waited for Daisy to start, but she didn't. She saw that the milk van was about to be coupled to her and was most indigment.
  • Daisy: Do they except me to pull that?
  • Daisy's Driver: Surley.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said her driver.
  • Daisy's Driver: You can pull one van.
  • Daisy: I won't.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said Daisy.
  • Daisy: Percy can do it. He loves messing about with freight cars.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: She began to shudder violently.
  • Daisy's Driver: Nonsense.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said her driver.
  • Daisy's Driver: Come on now, back down.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Daisy lurched backwards. She was so cross that she blew a fuse.
  • Daisy: Told you.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: She said and stopped. Everyone argued with her but it was no use.
  • Daisy: It's fitter's orders.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: She said.
  • Passengers: What is?
  • Daisy: My fitter's a very nice man. He comes every week and exames me carefully. Daisy, he says, never never pull. You're highly sprung and pulling is bad for your swerves. So that's how it is.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Finished Daisy.
  • Stationmaster: Stuff and nonsense.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said the stationmaster.
  • Shunter: I can't understand.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said the shunter.
  • Shunter: Whatever made Sir Topham Hatt send us such a feeble...
  • Daisy: Feeble? Feeble?!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Spluttered Daisy.
  • Daisy: Let me...
  • Passengers: Stop arguing!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Grumbled the passengers.
  • Passengers: We're late already.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: So they uncoupled the van, and Daisy purred away feeling very pleased with herself. She can now enjoyed her journey.
  • Daisy: That's a good story.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: She chuckled.
  • Daisy: I'll do just what work I choose, and no more.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: But she said it to herself.
  • (Daisy ends)
  • Ash: (blushing) That diesel rail car who came to Sodor after Thomas' accident.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Yes, Ash. It's always the job to do.
  • (Mr. Conductor 1 disappears)
  • Zak: Well. It always matter, Ash. Let's get to work.
  • Ash: Right!
  • (End of Part 1)

Part 2

  • (We See Ash and the gang with Misty and Rudy)
  • Ash: This is gonna be the perfect date ever had.
  • Mistchie: Misty, aren't you going to wear a Shirley Fenette outfit?
  • Misty: Okay. I just put them on and my opaque nude tights.
  • Skeeter: Need flip flops? So here they are.
  • Misty: Thanks.
  • Kimiko: The good idea's working.
  • Zak: Yes.
  • (Mr. Conductor 1 reappears)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Have you put the Shirley Fenette costume on Misty?
  • Ash: Yes, Mr. Conductor 1.
  • Mitchie: Rudy is gonna be so happy to see Misty.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Reminds me of another diesel engine named Mavis.
  • Skeeter: Mavis?
  • Kimiko: That female diesel engine.
  • Zak: On the Island of Sodor.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Yes. I'll tell you about her.
  • (Mr. Conductor 1 blows his whistle and Mavis starts)
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Mavis is a diesel engine who works at the quarry company shunting freight cars in their sidings. She has six small wheels hidden by sideplates just like Toby's. Mavis is young and full of her own ideas. She loves rearranging things too and began putting Toby's cars in different places every day. This made Toby cross.
  • Toby: Freight cars...
  • Mr. Conductor 1: He grumbled.
  • Toby: ...should be where you want them when you want them.
  • Mavis: Fiddlesticks!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said Mavis and flounced away. At last, Toby lost patience.
  • Toby: I can't waste time playing "Hunt The Cars" with you. Take them yourself.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Mavis was pleased. Taking cars made her feel important. At the station, Diesel oiled up to her.
  • Mavis: Toby's an old fusspot.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: She complained. Diesel sense trouble and was delighted.
  • Mavis: Toby says only steam engines can manage freight cars.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Continued Mavis.
  • Diesel: How observe.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Squirmed Diesel.
  • Diesel: Depend upon it, Mavis. Anything steam engines can do, we diesels can do better.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Diesel knew nothing about cars, but Mavis didn't realize this. Toby's line crosses the main road behind the station, and for a short way follows a farm lane. Frosty weather makes the mud rock-hard and very slippery. Toby stops before reaching the lane. His fireman halts the traffic at the level crossing and then he sets off again. By using the heavy cars to push him along, he has no trouble with the frosty rails and the lane and across the road. It is the only thing safe thing to do in this kind of weather. Toby warned Mavis and told her just what to do.
  • Mavis: I can manage, thank you.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: She replied.
  • Mavis: I'm not an old fusspot like you.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: The freight cars were tired of being pushed around by Mavis.
  • Freight Cars: It's slippery.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: They whispered.
  • Freight Cars: Let's push her around instead. On, on, on!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: They yelled. Mavis took no notice. Instead, she brought the cars carefully down the lane and stopped at the level crossing. (Terence and Bertie arrived) All traffic halted.
  • Mavis: One of the headlamp for fusspot Toby.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Chortled Mavis. But Mavis had stopped in the wrong place. Instead of taking Toby's advice, she had given the cars the chance they wanted.
  • Freight Cars: Hold back! Hold back!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: They cried.
  • Mavis: Grrrr up!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Ordered Mavis. The cars just laughed and her wheels spun headlessly. Workmen sanded the rails and dig away the frozen mud, but it was no good. Everyone was impatient.
  • Mavis: Grrrr agh!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Wailed Mavis. Toby was in the yard when he heard the news.
  • Toby: I warned her.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: He fumed.
  • Toby's Driver: She's young yet.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Soothed his driver.
  • Toby's Driver: And...
  • Toby: She can manage her cars herself.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Interrupted Toby.
  • Toby's Driver: They're your cars really.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: His driver replied.
  • Toby's Driver: Mavis is suppose to stay at the quarry if Sir Topham Hatt finds out.
  • Toby: Mmmm, yes.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said Toby thoughtfully. He and his driver agreed that'll be best to help Mavis after all. An angry farmer was telling Mavis just what she could do with her train.
  • Toby: Having trouble Mavis?
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Chortled Mavis.
  • Toby: I am surprised.
  • Mavis: Grrrr osh!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Said Mavis. With much puffing and wheels slipped, Toby pushed Mavis and the freight cars back. The hard work made his fire burn fiercely, and his fireman spread hot cinders to melt the frozen mud. (Toby rescuing Mavis) At last they finished.
  • Toby: Goodbye!
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Called Toby.
  • Toby: You'll managed now, I expect.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Mavis didn't answer. She took the cars to the sheds, and scuttled home to the quarry as quickly as she could.
