Sir Topham Hatt: Molly, I need you to pull passengers to Arlesburgh.
Molly: Yes, sir.
Narrator: She puffed to Knapford to collect her passengers. The guard blew his whistle and she set off. She got to arlesburgh right on time. She knew who the small railway was and Jock took her passengers and Molly was being filled up with water.
Molly's driver: come on, girl, we got a time table to keep.
Narrator: They were about to start but Molly saw something on the line.
Molly: (whistles) Stop!
Narrator: They stopped quickly at the place and she saw Dilly the duck. She flew onto Duck's water tank.
Molly: Nice duck friend you got there Duck.
Duck: Thank you Molly. I wish you had an animal friend like me.
Narrator: Then Moly had an idea. She wanted an animal friend of her own. The next day she started to look for a animal and she saw a duck on the line but wasn't Dilly.
Molly: Can be my friend, please?
Narrator: The duck flew onto her buffer beam and Molly was delighted and the duck was tamed. He shared the driver's sandwhiches. When they got back to the sheds, James found that molly had a duck friend.
James: You got a duck? (scoffs) They're only wild animals you know and don't let that duck get your attention.
Molly: The duck is a friend of mine and she is nice for instance.
James: I don't care that lots of bird were flying around, I just blow them away.
Narrator: James puffed away to collect his train. Then Molly went to collect ballast and was still thinking what James had said.
Rex: Just ignore James for a while and take care of your friend.
Mike: Shut up! It's selfish. Animals aren't friendly at all.
Bert: I think they're nice and useful like sheep for instance.
Mike: They're just animals and -
Oliver: That enough Mike.
Narrator: Molly had to agree with them.
