  • Mr. Conductor: I don't know if you want to do that, Eddy. You see jokes can be fun, but there are jokes that sometimes go wrong. Percy soon figured that out for himself when he was playing tricks on the bigger engines.

  • Mr. Conductor: I'll tell you all about it. (blows whistle and "Percy and the Signal" begins)

  • Eddy: Ed, shut up. And, Mr. C, what are you getting at?
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, you see, it may not be easy to get yourselves jawbreakers. It seems hard for Kevin, like the other kids of this cul-de-sac to open up to you guys. And when people act the way such as you normally do, Eddy, they may get something they didn't expect. Take the story of when Duck tricked Henry about tenders.
  • Edd: Would this be the same Duck who led Diesel into dismay and opposed Toad's plan against S.C.ruffey?
  • Eddy: *Groan* A train story again?!
  • Ed: Does Duck quack, Mr. C?
  • Edd: Ed, if you'd pay attention, you'd know he doesn't. How did Duck carry out this trick, Mr. Conductor?

  • Edd: Such as what times, Mr. Conductor?
  • Mr. Conductor: Like the time Thomas was in a big hurry and left the conductor at the station.
  • Edd: Why, how careless of him.
  • Eddy: I'll bet being in a hurry wasn't a fad where Thomas is.
  • Ed: I'd follow it!

  • Edd: I don't know, Eddy i haven't seen him all day
  • Ed: guys look!
  • [then they see an answering machine on the ground]

  • Eddy: Probably someone who hates getting messages from work. That's how my dad feels.
  • Edd: [pushes the button]
  • Mr. Conductor's voice: [from answering machine] to whoever picks this up this is Mr. Conductor answering
  • Ed: OH NO! MR. CONDUCTOR GOT EATEN BY THE ANSWERING MACHINE!
  • Edd: Ed, Mr. Conductor didn't get eaten, this message is pre-recorded
  • Mr. Conductor's voice: [from answering machine] Due to a bad sickness, I cannot come out to the Cul-De-Sac today and so here's a randomly generated pre-recorded Thomas Story to help with whatever problem is going on. [whistle sound effect and it transitions to the story The Runaway]
  • [After the Story...]
  • Mr. Conductor: That's about it from me when i feel in a better state, I'll come back. Sorry for any inconvenience [tape ends]
  • Edd: The tape ends there. I guess poor Mr. Conductor got the same sickness as the kids did
  • Eddy: I'm sure we don't need him for our scams anyway... right?

Quote 2

  • Ed: Oh no! Jimmy, don't tell Sarah! Guys help me!
  • Mr. Conductor: Eddy's just joking, Ed. But I must say, waking up to a bed full of half-eaten food with no memory of what happened is something that Henry the Big Green Engine could relate to.
  • Eddy: Another train story?! I thought you'd be too tired to tell any!
  • Edd: Eddy, manners. Since we're all up, Mr. Conductor, won't you tell us what happened?

  • (Mr. Conductor appears in a cloud of gold dust)
  • Mr. Conductor: Those Kankers sure are causing a lot of chaos in your house, Eddy.
  • Eddy: Tell me about itI
  • Edd: When will this chaos end?!
  • Mr. Conductor: It's one thing to make a mess, but it's another to behave like bulls in a china shop. Or in Daisy's case, a bull on the line from the time she encountered Champion.
  • Eddy: Who the heck is Champion for crying out loud?!
  • Mr. Conductor: Champion is a bull with quite a nasty attitude. Daisy soon learned that for herself.
  • Edd: Pardon me Mr. Conductor. But who is Daisy?
  • Mr. Conductor: Daisy is a diesel railcar who came to help after Thomas had an accident.
  • Ed: *cries* Poor little Thomas!!!! *cries*
  • Edd: I'm sure Thomas was all right, Ed. Now, Mr. Conductor, would you be kind enough to explain how Champion became a nuisance?
  • Mr. Conductor: Of course I will. Come along, Eds! (Blows whistle and "Bulls Eyes" begins)
  • (After Story)
  • Eddy: If that Champion bull was here, he'd totally scare and chase those stupid Kankers out of my house!
  • Edd: I don't know about Champion chasing the Kankers, Eddy. This weather ensures them a LOOOONG vacation!
  • Eddy: Weather, huh? Summer's about to call it a day boys!
  • Mr. Conductor: And I know just the plan.

  • Originally, in Rambling Ed, the song, That's All I Need from The Lion King 1 1/2 was featured, but due to Thomasedsfan's concern of infringing YouTube user, Trainlover476 who included the song in the TOMY Thomas & Friends episode, Percy on the Run, he removed the song.

Quote 1

  • Eddy: I'm all by myself! Ah!
  • (Scene goes to Shining Time Station where the phone was going off)
  • (Mr. Conductor appears)
  • Mr. Conductor: Oh my! The phone!
  • (Mr. Conductor appears at the phone in Schemer's arcade.)
  • Mr. Conductor: Hello?
  • Eddy (from under his covers nervously): Hey, Mr. C...
  • Mr. Conductor: Eddy? You sound like you've seen a ghost.
  • Eddy: Listen, Mr. C, you have to come over fast!
  • Mr. Conductor: At this time of night? I don't know. I've been meaning to do some tidying up in the signal house. And my laundry isn't going to wash itself.
  • Eddy: Ah! I think heard something! It sounds like a wild animal. Come quick, Mr. C!
  • Mr. Conductor: I'll be right over! (disappears)

Quote 2

  • Edd: Mr. Conductor, perhaps you too can aid Eddy into figuring out what to do to prepare for his date with Nazz, Mr. Conductor.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, I definitely know that every date needs a good luck package.
  • Eddy: A good luck what?
  • Mr. Conductor: A good luck package, guys. Percy The Small Engine once collected a good-luck package for the bride and groom on the Island Of Sodor. And Mrs. Kindley was very pleased with the green engine.
  • Eddy: Wow! I didn't know trains could get married!!!! (laughs)
  • Edd: Eddy, It is highly illogical for engines to get married. And pardon me, Mr. Conductor, who exactly is Mrs. Kindley?
  • Mr. Conductor: She is the bride's mother, and Percy really loved the special assignment given from her. Let me tell you Eds all about the good-luck package. (Blows whistle and "Happily Ever After" begins)

Quote 3

  • Jimmy: Too tight! Too tight! Sarah!
  • Eddy: This key's useless!
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, you know, Eddy. I bet if we find whoever lost this key, we'll know what it opens.
  • Edd: Mr. Conductor's right, Eddy. And that key should be returned to its rightful owner because that person who misplaced it, It's no mistake they didn't lose it on purpose.
  • Mr. Conductor: Edd has an exact point. But everyone does make mistakes, even railroad people. Remember that mix-up with Gordon and Edward?
  • Edd: I'm afraid we don't remember hearing that story, Mr. Conductor.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, you will when I tell you about it. (Blows whistle and "Wrong Road" begins)
  • (After Story)
  • Edd: I certainly don't blame Gordon for departing too soon. His fireman made the mistake.
  • Mr. Conductor: Right, and the 2 twin engines tricked him, but Gordon made things worse because Gordon has what you might call a bad attitude.

Trivia

  • Happy Ever After has the title card from the Thomas DVD, "Make Someone Happy".

  • Edd: Well, my name is Eddward, Mr. Schemer.
  • Eddy: Eddy's the name, scamming pigeons for money is my game.
  • Ed: And I'm Ed!
  • Schemer: Well, those are very nice names for people who have them. And I'm meeting three of them right now. Anyway, Eddy, judging by your "game". I can already tell you and I are gonna be great partners in the big city.
  • Eddy: You're gonna bring us to the city?!
  • Edd: Eddy, we mustn't go off with a stranger.
  • Ed: But we know his name, Double D.
  • Schemer: Yeah, what are you gonna do? Have the city come to you?
  • Eddy: Hey! That just gave me an idea. Well, I say if we can't go to the city, Let's bring the city to the cul-de-sac.
  • Edd: I suppose I should find some tape.
  • Ed: Not to mention a duck.
  • Schemer: And I've just the attraction for the city. Be right back. *runs off gleefully laughing*

Quote 2

  • Johnny: Mr. Conductor, have you seen Plank anywhere?
  • Mr. Conductor: I'm afraid not, Johnny.
  • Johnny: I've looked all around and I still can't find him. Where could he be?
  • Mr. Conductor: You know Johnny, you sound just as worried as Thomas was when he was sent to look for Fergus when he was missing.
  • Johnny: Who's Fergus?
  • Mr. Conductor: He's a railway traction engine who works at the cement works. He knows the rules very well and always obeys them. But one day, Diesel played a trick on him. I'll tell you all about it. (Mr. Conductor blows his whistle and the story, Thomas and the Search for Fergus begins)

Quote 3

  • Edd: At least you and I know best to follow the rules, Mr. Conductor.
  • Mr. Conductor: I'm proud to be part of the civilian side, Edd. And Eddy, I must say, you've certainly talking enough peer pressure into the kids to live life rules-free.
  • Eddy: Oh, well. Follow the rules, you guys'll miss out skating in the wet cement rink.
  • Mr. Conductor: You know, Eddy, rules are important to keep us all safe. As for rules, there are many that must be followed on the Island of Sodor to keep the engines in order. Take the story of Duck's first day.
  • Edd; Why, I don't recall us ever hearing that story, Mr. Conductor.
  • Mr. Conductor: I didn't tell you about the day Duck arrived in the yard? How sad. (blows whistle and "Duck Takes Charge" begins)

  • Eddy: Ah, come on, Mr. C. What could go wrong?
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, the chances are you could end up like Thomas. He thought he could do what he wanted without a problem, but he ended up in a big accident.
  • Eddy: Don't tell me it was that accident when Daisy the stupid railcar thingy came and couldn't get that stupid bull off the track?!

  • Eddy: Who the heck is Bulstrode?!
  • Edd: And what kind of name is Bulstrode, Mr. Conductor? I've never known anybody named Bulstrode.
  • Mr. Conductor: He's a very impatient and ill-tempered barge. Percy soon found that out for himself. I'll tell you about it.
  • Edd: And PLEASE Mr. Conductor, make it quick! I must obtain some sunscreen!
  • Mr. Conductor: Don't worry, Edd. Just try to calm down. Now where was I? Oh, yes! Bulstrode the Barge! (Blows Whistle and "Special Attraction" Begins)

  • (Mr. Conductor's Cousin Appears)
  • Mr. Conductor: Hello, Jimmy.
  • (Jimmy screams)

  • Mr. Conductor: Relax, Jimmy. I'm not going to hurt you. Allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is Ringo, but you may call me Mr. Conductor.
  • Jimmy: I have a friend named Mr. Conductor, too!
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, he is my cousin. He went go-karting with your other lads. Unfortunately, he has to watch the lads race together because he is much too short to drive.
  • Jimmy: You look like you're dressed for butterfly catching, Mr. Conductor.
  • Mr. Conductor: I am. Of course, a butterfly to me is about the size of an eagle to you. So after I catch one, we just play a few games of cards and then I let it go. And by the way, Jimmy, you get along with Sarah and Nazz very well. My friend Thomas most recently got along with his new friend Emily.

  • Rolf: For what is this I.M.S you are talking about, Mr. Conductor?
  • Mr. Conductor: The International Mopey Society. What's the matter, Rolf?
  • Rolf: Rolf is heartbroken.
  • Mr. Conductor: Oh, I understand Rolf. I just figured out that you are feeling homesick. Sometimes, we all long for something we remember from good times. Back on the Island of Sodor, the new diesel, Salty was feeling the same way when he wanted to work by the seas.
  • Rolf: (sadly) And who is this Salty you speak of, Mr. Conductor?
  • Mr. Conductor: Cheer up, Rolf. Salty is a dockside diesel who loves telling tales and working by the sea. Come along with me and I'll tell you all about him. (Blows whistle and "Salty's Secret" begins)

  • Mr. Conductor: There you guys are! My, my, this has been some crazy day.
  • Johnny: Hey, Mr. Conductor, you know any good stories that Plank and I would like?
  • Eddy: What?! Our story's not good enough for ya?!
  • Edd: Eddy, manners.
  • Mr. Conductor: What kind of story would that be?
  • Johnny: Plank and I want a real story with stuff like Octopus' Gardens, Silver Hammers, and Mr. Kite! Ooh! Or even a story from the Island Of Sodor!
  • Eddy: Really?! What does the Island Of Sodor have to do with a jawbreaker bank?!
  • Edd: Eddy, hush. Mr. Conductor's going to tell us a story now.
  • Mr. Conductor: Hmmm...now let me see...I think I've just the story for tonight!
  • Johnny: Ooh, I'm so excited, Plank!
  • Mr. Conductor: This is a story ABOUT a story. (Blows whistle and "Granpuff" begins)

Quote 2

  • Mr. Conductor: Edd's right, Eddy. Ignoring the warnings on Sarah's diary could stir up trouble.
  • Eddy: At last! My revenge!!!! (laughs)
  • Ed: If Sarah finds out the diary's missing, she'll tell mom and mom will tell dad and-
  • Eddy: We heard you the first time, Ed!
  • Mr. Conductor: No, Ed's right, Eddy. Reading Sarah's diary is bad, but it can't be any worse than what happened to Gordon The Big Blue Engine.
  • Edd: What exactly happened to Gordon anyway?
  • Mr. Conductor: Well... Gordon was acting disobedient towards Salty.
  • Edd: Much like our Eddy.
  • Mr. Conductor: Indeed, in fact, Gordon ended up in a huge accident.
  • Eddy: Was Gordon planning revenge on Salty?!
  • Mr. Conductor: Not exactly, but he was going too fast for the freight cars. Let me show you what I mean by that. (Blows whistle and "Gordon Takes A Tumble" begins)

  2. Home At Last (George Carlin, 3 Squares And An Ed)

Quotes

  • Edd: Mr. Conductor, perhaps you can aid me in figuring out what Ed expects to accomplish with this scam and what it's all about?
  • Mr. Conductor: I wish I knew, Edd. But Ed's scam with rocks, Q's, and the way Eddy's dressed has got me stumped. This reminds me a lot of the time Rusty thought he was being watched.
  • Edd: Rusty? Being watched? By who? Or what if I may ask?
  • Mr. Conductor: You won't believe it when I tell you. (blows whistle and "Rusty and the Boulder" begins)
  • (After the Story)
  • Edd: Gracious. I would never have imagined a diesel like Rusty believe he was being watched by an inanimate object. Although I'd rather move heavy rocks than a boulder.

Quote 2

  • Eddy: I know how to get Ed outta here so that even he won't know he's missing.
  • Mr. Conductor: Oh, I don't think that's a very good idea, Eddy. Ed will get into even more trouble, you and even Edd will, too.
  • Eddy: Aw, C'mon, Mr. C! Haven't the trains on that railway ever busted each other out in situations like this?
  • Mr. Conductor: Indeed, they have. Duncan was very naughty for getting stuck in a tunnel, and Skarloey had to help him out.
  • Edd: Excuse me, Mr. Conductor, but how could being trapped inside a tunnel be considered a misdemeanor? Unless It was due to irresponsibility.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, it's about time you found out. (Blows whistle and "Home At Last" begins)
  • (After Story)
  • Edd: My.... I didn't know that engines could misbehave by getting stuck in a tunnel, and I thought Duncan was very careless to do such a thing like that.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, Sir Topham Hatt gave Duncan severe consequences. And If Eddy tries to break Ed out, he'll get severe consequences as well.
  • Eddy: *scoff* yeah, right.

  • Eddy: So I chucked his stinky fishball. Big whoop.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, apologizing is one thing you'll want to do. And I would be careful with what I say, if I were you. Look what happened to the big engines when they doubted Edward.
  • Edd: My, how awful that they would doubt such a kind engine.
  • Eddy: Puh-lease! I'd easily be on the big trains' side!
  • Ed: I want to hear what happened to the blue choo-choo, Mr. C!
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, then let me tell you. (blows whistle and "Edward's Exploit" begins)

  • Eddy: You mean like a jawbreaker, right, Mr. C?!
  • Mr. Conductor: I don't know about a jawbreaker, but you and Ed are in need of a lesson. Lessons can be very useful and help you learn from past mistakes. Just like the lesson James learned on the Island of Sodor.
  • Eddy: I'll bet he wasn't rushing to earn a grand prize.
  • Ed: Was James looking for buttered toast?!
  • Edd: Ed, trains don't run on food. However, Mr. Conductor, what lesson did James learn?
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, he wasn't rushing to earn a prize, but he was going too fast for the coaches. Come on, I'll tell you about it.(blows whistle and "James Learns A Lesson" begins)

  • Mr. Conductor: Right you are, Edd. Come along with me and I'll tell you guys all about it. (blows whistle and "Daisy" begins)
  • (After Story)
  • Edd: My, how stubborn Daisy is. I'm glad to know Nazz rather than that lazy diesel.

  • Eddy: I'm listening!
  • Johnny: Plank says "You need a breathmint, Eddy."

  • Johnny: A toad went on a ride?! Far out!
  • Mr. Conductor: Well it isn't "a" toad... but a breakvan named Toad. (Blows whistle and "Busy Going Backwards" begins)

  • Edd: Please, not now, Mr. Conductor. Can't you see I've been through a lot?
  • Mr. Conductor: Oh dear...
  • Edd: You and Ed have done it this time. Show some self-control! Your rambunctiousness has everyone infuriated!
  • Eddy: Tell em to stick it in their hat.
  • Mr. Conductor: Edd's right, you two are in need of an adjustment on good behavior.
  • Edd: Likewise, Mr. Conductor. You two have have no respect for the sake of others and their property.
  • Eddy: Don't be such a sockhead, Sockhead. So what if we can't help it? We're natural that way. Right, Ed?
  • Ed (still running around the tree): You won't get far from me, Eddy! (laughs)
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, Eddy, I think if you and Ed change how you act, the other kids will think better of you. Just like Sir Topham Hatt thought better of Bill and Ben.
  • Eddy: What do they got to do with us?
  • Edd: Why, this should start you fellows with a good example. Won't you please tell us, Mr. Conductor?
  • Mr. Conductor: Indeed, I will! (blows whistle and "Heroes" begins)

Thomas Stories

  1. The Old Bridge (Michael Brandon, Rock-A-Bye Ed)
  2. Oliver's Find (Alec Baldwin, O-Ed Eleven)

Quotes

  • Mr. Conductor: Fear is usually hard to handle. Reminds me of when Skarloey was afraid to cross an Old Bridge, and Rheneas had to do most of his work.
  • Edd: Perhaps Ed would like to hear it.
  • Ed: Was Skarloey afraid the bridge was going to eat him?!
  • Eddy: That's stupid.
  • Mr. Conductor: I wouldn't say that, but Skarloey almost ended up in serious danger. (Blows whistle and "The Old Bridge" begins)

Quote 2

  • (Mr. Conductor appears)
  • Mr. Conductor: Hi, Eds. What's going on?
  • Edd: Why, we've discovered a map, Mr. Conductor.
  • Eddy: Yeah! It's a gold mine to my dreams, I tell ya!
  • Ed: Or a gravy vessel of my greatest fantasies!
  • Edd: Gentlemen, please. I highly doubt this map leads to either of those. But it must lead to something interesting. Mr. Conductor, what do you make of this?
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, I know some of the best discoveries are full of surprises. The kind you'd least expect at that and you don't know when they'll appear.
  • Ed: Like bad grades?
  • Eddy: What the heck does THAT tell us?!
  • Edd: Eddy, remain calm. Have the engines on the Island of Sodor any experience in finding a location to a discovery?
  • Mr. Conductor: Oh, indeed they do! Oliver had quite an adventure one night when he had a big find!
  • Eddy: What Olive train? What the heck could he have found?!
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, surely you remember Oliver, Eddy. He's a great western engine with a brake van named, Toad.
  • Edd: What exactly was this find, Mr. Conductor?
  • Mr. Conductor: Oh, it's quite a story. And Oliver found more than what he actually expected. Why don't I tell you about it? (blows whistle and "Oliver's Find" begins)

Thomas Stories

  1. Passengers and Polish (George Carlin, The Luck of the Ed)
  2. Thomas and the Rumors (Alec Baldwin, Ed...Pass it on)

Quotes

Quote 1

  • Mr. Conductor: Hi, Eds. What's the matter?
  • Eddy: Monobrow forgot where he put my fancy magazines!!!!
  • Edd: Please Eddy, it was just a mistake.
  • Mr. Conductor: Edd is indeed right, Eddy. You can't grumble all the time just because you didn't get what you wanted. Duncan acted the same way when he didn't get polished by Nancy, and his behavior got him in trouble.
  • Eddy: I'll bet Duncan wasn't looking for magazines that someone hid for him!
  • Edd: EDDY!
  • Eddy: (groans)
  • Edd: Pardon me, Mr. Conductor. I know about Duncan for sure, but who is Nancy?
  • Mr. Conductor: Nancy is a conductor's daughter, and she definitely made Duncan upset for sure. Let me explain. (Blows whistle and "Passengers & Polish" begins)
  • (After Story)
  • Edd: I certainly blame Duncan for deliberately stopping on the viaduct. He was ridiculous enough to do that.
  • Mr. Conductor: Indeed. And when Skarloey dragged Duncan back to the station, the passengers were very upset with Duncan.
  • Edd: I don't know if Duncan will ever learn the fact of importance....neither will Eddy.
  • Eddy: Well those magazines ARE important to me! They are one of a kind anniversary issue!!!!!

Quote 2

  • Edd: and what would we do with you magazines Eddy?
  • [Eddy then grabbed Edd's hat]
  • Edd: MY HAT!
  • [then Eddy grabbed Ed's eyebrow]
  • Ed: MY EYEBROW!
  • Eddy: [takes out a vacuum] i'm taking this too! [uses vacuum & sucks Mr. Conductor's gold dust up]
  • Mr. Conductor: OH! i lost my magic dust! now i can't disappear!
  • [then Eddy ran off]
  • Ed: But Eddy, I can't make funny faces without that!
  • Edd: Wait Ed. I'm not decent!
  • Mr. Conductor: [running after them] i need my gold dust Eddy!

Quote 3

  • Edd: Eddy, your brother's legacy has lost control! Do you hear me, Eddy?! It's changing with each interpretation!
  • Mr. Conductor: Don't worry, Edd. Rumors are always found out sooner or later. Be it they're the truth or a lie!
  • Edd: Do you really think so, Mr. Conductor?
  • Mr. Conductor: I know so! Imagine if Thomas hadn't confronted Sir Topham Hatt about the rumors about Harold the Helicopter.
  • Edd: Gracious! Harold? With a faux bad reputation? Tell me it isn't true, Mr. Conductor!
  • Mr. Conductor: I will! (blows whistle and "Thomas and the Rumors" begins)
  • (After Story)
  • Edd: That was a miraculous relief for both Thomas and Harold, Mr. Conductor: And kudos to the visitor for his solution to the children's playground problem.
  • Mr. Conductor: Right. And it also goes to show that some things are too good to be true. So you shouldn't believe everything until you've gotten the whole story.
  • Edd: Right-o! Did you gather any of that, Eddy?!

Trivia

  • For this episode only the intro music from Lupin the Third is used

Quotes

Quote 1

  • Ed:: SARAH!!!! Dog meat!!!!
  • (Mr. Conductor appears)
  • Mr. Conductor: Eds, I've seen happier faces in a frowning contest.
  • Ed: I spent Sarah's money on jawbreakers, Mr. C!
  • Edd: The money was intended to be bought for fudge that she and Jimmy wanted, but Eddy pressured Ed into buying jawbreakers.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, Ed, it sounds not only did you use someone else's money on you and your friends ,but you went down the wrong path as well.
  • Eddy: Ah, it was worth it!
  • Edd: Eddy. Even I had pleasure in enjoying what should never have been bought with someone else's money. The souls are we, gentlemen! Doomed for eternity!
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, I'm not so sure about that. You just got carried away with yourselves, It happens to all of us.
  • Eddy: Yeah, right. I bet you never get carried away with anything.
  • Mr. Conductor: Of course! Just now. Playing leapfrog! Leaped too far and landed in the mud. The frogs had to carry me away. Heh.
  • Edd: I believe Eddy means doing something that you're unable to stop.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, that's a leap of a different matter, but not so different from what happened to Percy when he crashed into a brake van.
  • Ed: Was he running away from being turned into dog meat?!
  • Eddy: That's stupid.
  • Edd: Eddy. What did in fact happen to Percy in this predicament, Mr. Conductor?
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, Percy had some trouble with the cars. Let me tell you about it. (Blows whistle and "Percy's Predicament" begins)
  • (After Story)
  • Mr. Conductor: So as Percy learned, sometimes it's best to do your work wisely and not get on the bad side of troublesome freight cars.

Quote 2

  • Mr. Conductor: You really like monsters, don't you Ed?
  • Ed: Are they any monsters on the Island Of Sodor?!
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, Percy saw more than a monster.
  • Ed: What monster did Percy see?!
  • Mr. Conductor: A dragon!
  • Ed: Oh, gravy! Thomas turned into a dragon with a blood-curdling roar, grabbed Percy and turned him into a marshmallow with his firebreath!
  • Mr. Conductor: Well.... that's a little too dramatic, Ed. Let me tell what REALLY happened. (Blows whistle and "Thomas, Percy, & The Dragon" begins)

Quote 2

  • Mr. Conductor: What we have here is a mystery to solve.
  • Edd: How are Ed, Eddy and I to clear our names, Mr. Conductor?
  • Eddy: Yeah. I bet those trains on that Island couldn't bust their way out of something like this!
  • Mr. Conductor: You're wrong right there, Eddy. You guys remember Diesel don't you? He told some lies about Duck and Sir Topham Hatt had to send Duck away?
  • Edd: I do remember that somber story, Mr. Conductor.
  • Ed: What's somber?
  • Mr. Conductor: I'd be glad to tell you guys the story again, but I can't tell my stories without my whistle can I? I must have dropped it if not stolen.
  • Ed: Aw, no story?
  • Eddy: Sweet!
  • Edd: Couldn't you tell us the story either way?
  • Mr. Conductor: I will tell you! (blows on his fingers and "Diesel's Devious Deed" begins)

  • Jimmy: And here's your autograph, Mr. Bear. Now go eat some berries or something, I'm busy.
  • (Mr. Conductor appears in his wizard wardrobe)
  • Jimmy: Oh, Hi, Mr. Conductor! Sarah and I made wishes on a wishing well. I'm going to be a star!
  • Mr. Conductor: That's quite a coincidence! I've been hearing quite a few wishes lately. I just cleaned out the town wishing well. You'd be amazed at how many wishes were down there!
  • Sarah: Doesn't mean anybody's wishes are gonna come true.
  • Mr. Conductor: Oh, dear no. Only the wishes in this bag will come true. That's because there's a wishing star in here. I just wish yours and Sarah's wishes were there, Jimmy.
  • Jimmy: You mean, I won't be famous, Mr. Conductor?!
  • Mr. Conductor: Wanting something to happen isn't done by a simple wish, Jimmy. After all, Thomas didn't need to make a wish when he almost didn't go to the big city.
  • Sarah: What the heck happened to him anyway?
  • Jimmy: How did Thomas almost miss going to the big city?
  • Mr. Conductor: Well...Why don't I tell you what happened? (places bag on the ground) And then you will find out. (blows whistle and "Thomas and the Special Letter" begins)

Quote 2

  • Mr. Conductor: Ed's violin is making quite a lot of noise. And noise quite disrupts what others are trying to concentrate on. Doesn't it sort of remind you of Duncan?
  • Eddy: I wish Duncan was here to run over the stupid instrument! What did he do that was noisy anyway?!
  • Mr. Conductor: Well... Let me tell you about it. (blows whistle and "Faulty Whistles" begins)

Thomas Stories

  1. Escape! (Ed Overboard)
  2. Come Out, Henry! (One of Those Eds)

Quotes

Quote 1

  • Mr. Conductor: Eddy, you should have more faith in the Urban Rangers.
  • Eddy: Give me a break, Mr. C! I could rescue Ed better and quicker with a broken arm and a missing leg, but I ain't that kind of guy!
  • Edd: Eddy, follow Mr. Conductor's advice.
  • Mr. Conductor: Right. After all, imagine if Douglas hadn't rescued Oliver.
  • Rolf: Please, won't you tell us before our rescue?
  • Mr. Conductor: Certainly, Rolf. Here it goes (blows whistle and "Escape!" begins)

Quote 2

  • Eddy: Mr. C, use your magic to loosen it and BINGO! Quarter for Eddy
  • Mr. Conductor: I'd be glad to.
  • Eddy: Sweet!
  • Mr. Conductor: If I wasn't low on my magic. I wouldn't have enough to get home to Shining Time Station if I used even a little to loosen the quarter.
  • Eddy: *Groan*
  • Edd: Eddy, I'm sure if enough attempts are made, the quarter will come off.
  • Mr. Conductor: You're absolutely right, Edd. It's just a quarter stuck to the sidewalk. That's nothing compared to getting an engine to move. Remember Henry the Big Green Engine on the Island of Sodor?
  • Eddy: What's a green whale got to do with us?!
  • Edd: Eddy, please.I'm afraid we're unclear of what you're talking about, Mr. Conductor.
  • Mr. Conductor: You will in a minute. (blows whistle and "Come Out, Henry!" begins)
  • (After Story)
  • Ed: *sobbing* Poor Henry!!!!!
  • Edd: That was indeed a tragic ending for a Thomas Story, Mr. Conductor even if Henry was stubborn enough to remain within the tunnel.
  • Eddy: Yeah, too bad. Now about the quarter-
  • Edd: Eddy!
  • Mr. Conductor: Henry wasn't stuck in the tunnel for always. But that's a story that will have to wait another day.

Quotes

Quote 1

  • Mr. Conductor: Eddy, you've got quite a staff working here.
  • Eddy: Just you wait, Mr. C. I'll be beyond up from here.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, I wouldn't get too confident.
  • Eddy: Why?
  • Mr. Conductor: You see running a company is hard work and if the other kids aren't shown appreciation for it, a lot can go wrong. As for what can go wrong, I have to say, the big engines on the Island of Sodor have really had their share. Let me show you what I mean. (Blows whistle and "Tenders and Turntables" begins)

Quote 2

  • Mr. Conductor: Wow! I didn't know Election Day came so early. What is this election for? I'll be pleased to vote.
  • Edd: King of the Cul-De-Sac, Mr. Conductor.
  • Eddy: Yeah! And I'm gonna win this Election and rub it in Baldy and that useless hunk of wood's faces
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, Eddy, you shouldn't expect what you believe is gonna happen.
  • Eddy: What makes you think I'm not gonna win, "Mr. Confronter"?
  • Mr. Conductor: Well for one, Boasting is never good and being doubtful about another sometimes leads them to despair whereas the other benefits. James was doubtful about Edward until he pulled through and saved him.
  • Edd: My. How brave and heroic.
  • Eddy: Yeah right. I'll believe it when I see it.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, then let me start on the start and begin at the beginning. (Blows whistle and "Old Iron" begins)

Quotes

Quote 1

  • Ed: SHUT UP!!!!
  • Eddy: You shut up!!!!
  • Edd: Eddy, please! Ed's having a bad day!
  • Mr. Conductor: Edd's right, Eddy. Ed must've been tired or cranky.... or maybe he doesn't want to work.
  • Edd: After all, Mr. Conductor, Ed did kick everyone out of the house and bellowed at Sarah. I didn't think that Ed 'would' do such a thing like that to his little sister.
  • Eddy: Probably cause she whines at him too much!
  • Mr. Conductor: Oh, I don't think that's the case. Sometimes people have bad days. Even the engines on the Island Of Sodor have bad days. Do you know who Ed's reminding me of now? That silly snob of an engine, Sir Handel! He had a bad day not too long ago.
  • Eddy: I'll bet Sir Handel didn't kick the other trains out and scream at them!!!!
  • Edd: Eddy, PLEASE!!!!!
  • Eddy: (growls)
  • Edd: Pardon me, Mr. Conductor, but how exactly did Sir Handel have a bad day?
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, Sir Handel didn't want to get his work done. Let me show you what I mean. (Blows whistle and "A Bad Day for Sir Handel" begins)
  • (After Story)
  • Eddy: Hmph! Now I know know Sir. Handel feels!
  • Edd: Please, Eddy! The sarcasm... Oh dear!

Quote 2

  • Mr. Conductor: Let go! I mean it, Robin! Give it back right now! Same to you! Honestly, you're starting to turn into a real pest!
  • Edd: At least the Kankers haven't caused you any grief or displeasure, Mr. Conductor.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, I have a pest, myself. Mr. Robin wants to take every snack out my hand like this cookie I was going to give to the squirrels.
  • Edd: I think that Mr. Robin is just as big of a nuisance as the Kanker Sisters.
  • Mr. Conductor: You're right, Edd. I think Mr. Robin and the Kankers are so badly behaved that I think they're no better than coaches! If you know what I mean. (Whistle sounds and "Four Little Engines" begins)

Trivia

  • For this episode only, a special intro to the live action The Incredible Hulk Opening will be used.
  • When Mr. Conductor tries to cheer Ed up, a reference to George Carlin's comedy routine is made. It is also the second time in the series after In Like Ed.

  • Mr. Conductor: Well...I'll tell you. (blows whistle and "Middle Engine" begins)

  • Mr. Conductor: Sounds interesting. Time Capsules hold some great surprises in future. Who knows who will discover it and what use they'll make of it?
  • Edd: And fond memories as well.
  • Ed: Mr. C. Remember the time Sarah wanted a hat for her dolly and I gave it yours?
  • Eddy: *laughing* That was rich!
  • Edd: Eddy...
  • Mr. Conductor: I wasn't so fond of it either. Speaking of memories, surprises and discovery, You guys remember the story about Duke?
  • Eddy: You mean that old coot of a train you told from when we were stuck in Johnny's wall? BLECH! I can still taste Kanker lip!
  • Mr. Conductor: Yes. He was trapped in his shed where the trees and bushes grew around.
  • Edd: I believe I remember that somber story before, Mr. Conductor.
  • Mr. Conductor: Yes, but I'm afraid you didn't hear what happened the other day on the Island Of Sodor.
  • Ed: Ooh! Did Thomas run into a car of gravy?!
  • Eddy: Did Gordon lose his dome again?

  • Ed: And Thomas wouldn't be wearing a stinky hat!
  • Eddy: What did that blue bug do anyway for Pete's Sake?!
  • Mr. Conductor: You mean you don't know the story about Thomas, Percy and the Coal?

  • Edd: Eddy has reason to believe it's cursed. Curses are nothing but mere superstition.
  • Mr. Conductor: Oh, well I was talking about the foghorn on the Island of Sodor.
  • Ed: What's a foghorn? IS IT A WEAPON USED TO BLIND MONSTERS SO WARRIORS CAN-
  • Eddy: Shut up, Ed!
  • Edd: Eddy. Pardon me, Mr. Conductor, but would you be so kind as to tell us what happened?

  • Edd: Oh, Mr. Conductor. Ed and Eddy don't seem to care about me feeling this way. They just make fun of Kevin instead of taking me to a doctor. (cries)
  • Mr. Conductor: Aw, I understand Edd. Thomas and Percy were acting the same way towards Henry The Big Green Engine when he was feeling under the weather.
  • Edd: Was Henry in a condition similar to me?
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, let me tell you about it. (Blows whistle and "What's The Matter With Henry?" begins)

Notes

  • Thomas Stories told by George Carlin and Alec Baldwin

Thomas Stories

  1. Train Stops Play (George Carlin, Run for your Ed)
  2. Double Teething Troubles (Alec Baldwin, Hand me Down Ed)

Quotes

Quote 1

  • Mr. Conductor: That bottle is quite stuck on Ed's finger.
  • Edd: Indeed. It's a stubborn little thing.
  • Eddy: I'll get it off if it kills me!
  • Mr. Conductor: Oh, I don't think you wanna go that far, Eddy. But I have to say, whoever it belongs to will want it back in one piece. Doesn't it sort of remind you of Stepney and Caroline?
  • Edd: The same Stepney who Thomas was envious of? And the same Caroline who broke down delivering Sir Topham Hatt to his wife's party?
  • Mr. Conductor: Right you are, Edd and when Stepney's Driver and Fireman got the wrong signals from some cricket players, they had Caroline chasing after them.
  • Eddy: Just like Lumpy running from Sockhead trying to soap his finger.
  • Ed: The Soap is Evil, Eddy!
  • Edd: Eddy, you mind your manners, and Ed, soap wouldn't hurt your finger. Why exactly was Caroline chasing after Stepney, Mr. Conductor?
  • Mr. Conductor: I was just about to tell you. (blows whistle and "Train Stops Play" begins)

Quote 2

  • (Mr. Conductor appears)
  • Mr. Conductor: Oh, this is truly terrible!
  • Edd: What appears to be the trouble, Mr. Conductor?
  • Mr. Conductor: I was playing a song on my whistle when a boomerang flew by and knocked it out of my hand.
  • Edd: That wouldn't be the same one here on the ground would it?
  • Mr. Conductor: Yes! I recognize it!
  • Edd: Well, it appears to look fine to me.
  • Mr. Conductor: Oh? Well, just give a listen. (blows whistle sounding off-tune) Sounds funny to me. Doesn't it sound funny to you?

Quote 3

  • Mr. Conductor: That boomerang is certainly causing a lot of trouble around here.
  • Eddy: Tell me about it, Mr. C. It turned Rolf into a loudmouth singer, made Sarah act nice, messed up your whistle, who else could be next?!!!!
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, I bet it could help out the diesel who was brought to help Bill and Ben. He had teething troubles you know.
  • Edd: What diesel was this, Mr. Conductor?
  • Eddy: And what the heck are teething troubles?
  • Ed: Is it when your teeth act up?
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, Let me tell you about it. (blows whistle still sounding off-tune and "Double Teething Troubles" begins)

Trivia

  • In "Hand Me Down Ed", instead of the boomerang changing Mr. Conductor's personality, it knocks his whistle out of his hand and makes it sound off-tune.

Episode 50: Stiff Upper Ed/Here's Mud in your Ed

Notes

  • Thomas Stories told by George Carlin

Thomas Stories

  1. Trouble in the Shed (Stiff Upper Ed)
  2. Donald's Duck (Here's Mud in your Ed)

Quotes

Quote 1

  • (Mr. Conductor appears)
  • Mr. Conductor: The meeting of the clean club is in session. Thank goodness we got rid of that guy in the messy club.
  • Eddy: Clean club? I want IN THE RICH CLUB!
  • Edd: Eddy, surely we'll find a way into the club. It certainly makes one feel good to be in a club.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, sometimes people feel too good about themselves. The big engines on the Island of Sodor were feeling too good to do smaller engines' work when they were on strike. I'll start on the start and begin at the beginning (blows whistle and "Trouble in the Shed" begins)

Quote 2

  • (Mr. Conductor Appears)
  • Mr. Conductor: What's the matter, Jimmy? You're crying a river of tears.
  • Jimmy: Oh, Mr. Conductor! You're not going to believe it! The Eds tricked me out of my money! (cries loudly)
  • Mr. Conductor: Calm down, Jimmy, Everything's going to be okay. I think the time has come for Eddy to be given a taste of trickery himself!
  • Jimmy: But how, Mr. C? What would Thomas and his friends say to something like this?
  • Mr. Conductor: Now that's a thought. Did I ever tell you about Donald's Duck?
  • Jimmy: Donald's Duck?
  • Mr. Conductor: Now there's a story about trickery if there ever was one. I'll tell you the story now. It might help us think of a tricky idea. (Blows whistle and "Donald's Duck" begins)
  • (Story ends)
  • Jimmy: So they did trick Donald with a duck! But what can I use?
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, you can't use a duck.

Episode 51: Stuck in Ed/Postcards from the Ed

Notes

  • Thomas Stories told by George Carlin

Thomas Stories

  1. Henry to the Rescue (Stuck in Ed)
  2. Bulgy (Postcards from the Ed)

Quotes

Quote 1

  • Mr. Conductor: Eddy, however Jimmy can help you, I'm sure he can help you pull through and get back into scamming shape. After all, imagine if Henry hadn't been let out of the tunnel where he was bricked up when Gordon broke down and couldn't pull the express.
  • Edd: Goodness. Gordon broke down?
  • Ed: OOH! OOH! This must be Henry's happy ending! Isn't it?!
  • Eddy: Like any train tale's gonna cheer me up.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, let me tell you what happened and maybe you'll think differently, Eddy. (blows whistle and "Henry to the Rescue" begins)

Quote 2

  • Edd: Ed, his room is the last place Eddy would've brought them.
  • Mr. Conductor: Indeed, Edd. Eddy's gotten quite carried away this time. Stealing Plank's parents was quite awful. On the Island of Sodor, a bus did the same stealing passengers and was taught a great lesson.
  • Edd: This particular bus wouldn't be Bertie would it, Mr. Conductor?
  • Mr. Conductor: No, this was a different bus with a bad attitude. I think it's time I told you about Bulgy. (Blows whistle and "Bulgy" begins)
  • (After Story)
  • Edd: My. Bulgy is rather foul. I'm glad he received his karma of a lesson.
  • Mr. Conductor: Pretty soon, Eddy will learn HIS lesson as well

  • (Mr. Conductor appears)
  • Mr. Conductor: Hi, Eddy.
  • Eddy: Mr. Conductor? Is it really you?
  • Mr. Conductor: Of course it's me. What would make you think otherwise?
  • Eddy: You haven't aged at all, but look at me; I'm an old prune.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, it's been a long time since I've met you. I've known you since you were a kid. I've known my friend, Stacy Jones when she was only a kid. I've known her parents since they were kids.

Notes

  • Thomas Stories told by Alec Baldwin

Thomas Stories

  1. Duncan Gets Spooked (Boom Boom Out Goes the Ed)
  2. Percy's Chocolate Crunch (Cleanliness is Next to Edness)

Quotes

Quote 1

  • Edd: At least you and I know there are no such things as mole mutants, Mr. Conductor.
  • Mr. Conductor: Right and although Eddy's aware, he's using this scare to gain money while the others continue to panic. Reminds me of just the other day when Duncan was teasing Peter Sam and he ended up seeing a ghost.
  • Edd: But ghosts are pure fictitious, Mr. Conductor.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, Duncan didn't believe in ghosts until he crossed the old iron bridge. I'll tell you all about it. (He blows his whistle and the story, Duncan Gets Spooked begins)

Quote 2

  • (Edd enters Shining Time Station dirty)
  • Edd: Mr. Conductor! Are you here? I could use some assistance please!
  • (Mr. Conductor appears)
  • Mr. Conductor: Edd? What's the matter? Why do you look like an old stick in the mud?
  • Edd: Oh, pardon me for tracking filth, Mr. Conductor. All I ask for is a shower, but instead I get a shelf of products dumped on me and a swim in the mud!
  • Mr. Conductor: Sounds like a dirty job. And one that can end up badly for everyone. Doesn't it sort of remind you of Percy?
  • Edd: I'm afraid I don't follow, Mr. Conductor. As illogical as it is, I can't see Percy scheduling a shower appointment at Le Jimmy's.
  • Mr. Conductor: No, but he's still got himself in an awful mess. (blows whistle and "Percy's Chocolate Crunch" begins)
  • (After story)
  • Edd: I certainly understand how Percy feels about unsanitary jobs and places. I'm that way myself.
  • Mr. Conductor: I know what you mean, Edd. Being dirty is one thing I don't want to be either.
  • Edd: Not only that, Mr. Conductor, but nobody's been kind enough to offer me the use of their showers!
  • Mr. Conductor: Oh, that's not good. You've always been kind and caring to me, Edd just as I've been to you. I don't see why the other kids wouldn't let you.
  • Edd: What do you suggest I do to rectify my situation, Mr. Conductor?
  • Mr. Conductor: I'd offer you a shower, Edd. Personally, I usually prefer a nice bath. Either way, I'm afraid they're too small for someone such as you of your own height. Hey! I have an idea! (disappears and reappears on the picture machine) Instead of looking at the negatives, Edd. Have a look in here! (drops in a nickel)
  • (Edd cranks the machine, looks into it and we transition to the song, "Caring")
  • (After song)
  • Mr. Conductor: Now does that give you any ideas?
  • Edd: I wish the others could be the way friends are meant to be in that song. However, I'm afraid it hasn't solved my shower quandary. Thank you anyway, Mr. Conductor. (exits the station)
  • Mr. Conductor: Bye, Edd! Hope you find a shower!

  2. Baa! (Alec Baldwin, No Speak Da Ed)

Quotes

Quote 1

  • (Mr. Conductor appears)
  • Sarah: Say, Mr. C, you think you could help us?
  • Jimmy: Sarah and I are looking to find where babies come from.
  • Mr. Conductor: Maybe. But there have been some interesting finds on the Island of Sodor lately.
  • Jimmy: Really? Like what, Mr. Conductor!?
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, surely you remember the time the pack was working hard one day when Alfie discovered kittens?
  • Sarah: Alfie? What the heck kind of name is that?
  • Jimmy: What did he find, Mr. Conductor? Tell us, please!
  • Mr. Conductor: I will. (blows whistle and "Alfie Has Kittens" begins)

Quote 2

  • Edd: Oh dear! It appears Ed's penpal's gifts have somehow provoked Rolf and reawakened a long forgotten blood feud.
  • Mr. Conductor: I had quite a feeling Rolf's behavior towards Ed was because of his gifts. It's like the time Percy acted the same towards Toby and encountered a ram.
  • Rolf: Tell your story, Mr. Conductor! For it will be the last the miserable Ed boy ever hears!
  • Mr. Conductor: Very well, Rolf. (blows whistle and "Baa" begins)

Trivia

  • I Am Curious Ed is the first of two episodes in this series to use a Jack and the Pack story.

Episode 57: Cool Hand Ed/Too Smart for His Own Ed

Notes

  • Thomas Stories told by George Carlin

Thomas Stories

  1. Rusty to the Rescue (Cool Hand Ed)
  2. Thomas Gets Bumped (Too Smart for His Own Ed)

Quotes

  • Mr. Conductor: Escaping would be be quite difficult. I remember on the Island Of Sodor, when Rusty helped Stepney The Bluebell Engine escape from scrap, and boy was Rusty lucky to have saved him at all.
  • Eddy: Aw, c'mon! I could escape quite easier than Rusty and that Bell-train!
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, Rusty thought the same. Let me tell you about it. (Blows whistle and "Rusty to the Rescue" begins)

Quote 2

  • Mr. Conductor: Do you like the painting they made to promote the Railroad After-School club, Edd? It reminds me of my home at Shining Time Station.
  • Edd: Pardon me, Mr. Conductor, could I discuss something with you?
  • Mr. Conductor: I'm all ears.
  • Edd: I feel neglected by the other students.
  • Mr. Conductor: I'd say you're upset that you lost to Ed in the spelling bee and feel left out because the other kids are going to him for help with their school work instead.
  • Edd: How did you know?
  • Mr. Conductor: Because something like that happened to some friends of mine on the Island of Sodor. I'll tell you ALL about it. (blows whistle and "Thomas Gets Bumped" begins)
  • (After story)
  • Edd: I quite enjoyed that story, Mr. Conductor. Thomas wound up in melee and Bertie took charge of collecting his passengers.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, everyone needs a hand every now and then, Edd. Or in Thomas and Bertie's case, a wheel.
  • Edd: Humorous, Mr. Conductor. But it saddens me, like Thomas, that there are others going to another for something I excel in. Much more than Ed in this case I might add.
  • Mr. Conductor: If I had to guess, Edd, I'd say you've come down with a case of sorry-for-yourself blues.
  • Edd: In other words, I'm in self-pity from the spelling bee and especially the other kids turning to Ed for school-work assistance?
  • Mr. Conductor: Oh, yes. Sorry-for-yourself blues can be the worst kind of illness. No doctor can cure it either. The cure comes from inside you.
  • Edd: You're right, Mr. Conductor. Time heals all wounds I always say.
  • Mr. Conductor: There's also believing in yourself. And there's another thing, Edd. You can forget the spelling bee and try something else. You can start all over and I know just the place.
  • Edd: Where exactly?
  • Mr. Conductor: Where else do you start? By looking down the Anything Tunnel!
  • (We then transition to the song, "Start All Over Again")
  • (After Song)
  • Mr. Conductor: It's like the song says, Edd. Pick yourself up, dust yourself off. And start all over again.

Trivia

  • For this episode only, a special intro to the A-Team theme will be used.
  • The song, "Start All Over Again" from the Shining Time Station episode, Dan's Big Race is used in "Too Smart for His Own Ed".

  • Mr. Conductor: They're quite the rascals, aren't they? They're making this place a mess.
  • Edd: Indeed, Mr. Conductor, but Ed's certainly being a good friend accepting the responsibility.
  • Mr. Conductor: You're right, Edd. In fact, on the Island of Sodor, Toby had quite an adventure when the Farmer's lambs were caught in a snowstorm.
  • Edd: Goodness! How awful for those sheep.
  • Ed: Baby sheeps are so cute!
  • Eddy: Yawn.
  • Edd: Eddy. Did Toby manage to retrieve the lambs?
  • Mr. Conductor: Well...I'll tell you. (blows whistle and "Toby Had A Little Lamb" begins)
  • (After Story)
  • (Wilfred squeals)
  • Mr. Conductor: What was that? Oh, I'm glad you enjoyed my story.
  • Edd: Why, Mr. Conductor. I had no idea you understood animals.
  • Mr. Conductor: Of course I do! I can speak every language from elephant to parakeet. But you have to be careful with parakeets. They try to bend the truth just to make what they say rhyme.

Quotes

Quote 1

  • Eddy: These stories are gonna sell, Mr. C! Just you wait and see!
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, you know, Eddy, making false stories about others isn't a very good idea. After all the other kids are bound to get in a feud with each other and might find you out. Look what happened to Patrick when he caused the Pack to quarrel.
  • Eddy: Who the heck's Patrick?! And what the heck's the pack?!
  • Mr. Conductor: Patrick's a cement mixer and he's one of the pack's members. He thought he was the most important member of Miss Jenny's machines. Let me explain. (Blows whistle and "On Site with Thomas" begins)
  • (After Story)
  • Mr. Conductor: So in the end, Patrick learned just the kind of gossip that shouldn't roam around the machines. Just as it's wise to be careful what you print in the school newspaper.
  • Eddy: Well, I won't let that story tell me different. I'm gonna be RICH!
  • Mr. Conductor: Have fun in the newspaper business while it lasts, Eddy! (disappears)

Quote 2

  • Eddy: THIS IS TOO RICH AIN'T IT, MR. C?!!!! (laughs loudly)
  • Mr. Conductor: I think it's quite wrong to fool Kevin with this false booster shot day. Mavis made a plan like this once and she made Toby end up in danger.
  • Eddy: Tell me, Mr. C. I'm in a good mood.
  • Mr. Conductor: As you wish, "Doctor Eddy". (Blows whistle and "Toby's Tightrope" begins)

  • Jimmy: A FLYING HORSE?! WHAT WAS ITS NAME?! DID YOU GET TO RIDE IT?!
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, the horse's name was Pegasus and Harold the Helicopter was the one who gave him a ride. Let me tell you what happened. (blows whistle and "Harold and the Flying Horse" begins)

Quote 2

  • Rarity: Can you believe it, Twilight darling? That poor boy didn't get a chance to see us.
  • Twilight: The nerve of it all. Oh well. That's all the time we get for guest appearing in this episode.(She transports her and Rarity back to Equestria)
  • Cosmo: I still want to meet the fluffy-haired kid. Do you think his hair tastes like marshmallows?
  • Wanda: No! And, Cosmo, you know we can't let other kids see us. Now let's go. (she and Cosmo disappear)

Quote 3

  • Mr. Conductor: Eddy's really in for it to earn this badge of pain. But he's not alone. Thomas wanted to earn something too. And that was a medal!
  • Edd: Do tell, Mr. Conductor. Did Thomas earn his desired medal?
  • Ed: Did he get a lollipop after being covered in bandages, Mr. Conductor?

Quote 2

  • Mr. Conductor: You know, Eddy. I have to say. You've been acting worse than the engines were when Alicia Botti came to the Island of Sodor.
  • Edd: Who's Alicia Botti, Mr. Conductor?
  • Eddy: Ha! Looks like you're gonna forfeit, Mr. C. That makes you, Sockhead and Shovelchin down and out!
  • Mr. Conductor: Well, Edd, she's a famous opera singer who Thomas, Gordon and James wanted to collect. And who was the one? I'll tell you, but Eddy, you might want to hear this. (blows whistle and "Thomas, Percy and the Squeak" begins)

  • Mr. Conductor: Oh my!
  • Ed: It's true. I was there.
  • Edd: Mr. Conductor, I assure you it was an accident.
  • Mr. Conductor: A swollen foot? Well, that's different. Swollen foots are not nearly so bad as what happened to Gordon when he had his big accident.
  • Eddy: Did another train clobber him?!
  • Edd: Oh dear! Gordon had an accident?
  • Mr. Conductor: Yes. I'm surprised you didn't hear about it. They're still talking about it on the Island of Sodor. Well, now's as good a time as any. (blows whistle and "Gordon Takes A Dip" begins)

Quote 2

  • Mr. Conductor: Edd, I always knew you were innocent. When the other kids hear, everything will be back to normal.
  • Edd: But if I should try and enlighten them, they'll back away.
  • Jimmy: He's right, Mr. Conductor. We need a plan.
  • Mr. Conductor: Well...let's think about it. If Thomas hadn't fallen down the mine, Gordon wouldn't have been the only one to have an accident falling face first.
  • Edd: Are you saying Thomas had an accident similar to that of Gordon's?
  • Jimmy: I never heard that one, Mr. Conductor.
