Hurricane Anthony

Hurricane Anthony was the first Subtropical Storm to attain 75 mph winds without becoming tropical since the naming of subtropical cyclones. Inttially for 3 months after its formation it was thought to have been subtropical form the entire time, but re-analysis on August 26, 2007 showed tha Anthony had become tropical a short time after reaching hurricane intensity.

Operationally, TD Two-K was thought to have peaked as a Tropical Depression, though re-analysis showed that it was briefly a tropical storm.

Hurricane Christopher was a hurricane that hit Blackthorn City. Operationally it was thought to have made landfall further to east due to the disorganized center, but radar from Blackthorn indicated that landfall had occured in Blackthorn.

Hurricane Dani was a Category Four hurricane that formed in Early August. Similar to Ivan and Joan in the West Pacific from 1997, Dani existed with another powerful hurricane, Elmer.

Hurricane Elmer was the first major hurricane to affect Mossdeep Island in nearly 100 years.

Hurricane Franny

Franny was the first storm in nearly 20 years to strike the southwestern Orange Islands as a hurricane. Franny would later go on to make landfall in Johto near Azalea Town. A tornado spawned by Franny destroyed the Azalea Town Gym, causing gym matches to be held in the Slowpoke Well until mid-November.

Retirement

Due to damage caused, the name Franny was retired and replaced with Florinda for the 2013 season.

Hurricane Grant was the first storm in 9 years to form on the northern coast of Johto. Grant was christined in a special advisory at 7:00 PM KDT on August 26, 2007. Grant briefly became a hurricane on August 27, 2007 before making landfall and dissipating the next day.

Lyla was the most intense tropical cyclone on record in the Orange Sea. It was also the first hurricane in recorded history to hit Sinnoh.

Due to damage caused, the name Lyla was retired. It will be replaced by Lillian in the 2013 season.

Mervin was the first Major Hurricane recorded to make landfall on the east coast of Hoenn.

Hurricane Nina

Nina was the 5th storm in a chain of 6 intense hurricanes. Out of the six, in terms in wind speed, Nina was the weakest, being a strong Category 3, While Jessica, Kane, Lyla, Mervin and Orleo were Category 4 and 5 hurricanes. Operationally, Nina was thought to have peaked as a strong Category 2 hurricane, with winds of 110 mph and a 939 mb pressure, but re-analysis showed that it was really a strong Category 3 and had a lower pressure than once thought.
