Norstein has a very diverse topography. It's main features include the Illiatomme Mountains that stretch from the Electrare cliffs down to the south coast. The Ledlow plains covers the south-east, while the Zeelion woods and Aquona forest cover the cental south. They are also the leading sources of forestry in Norstein. Large plains cover the majority of the central-eastern region and many rivers and valleys cover the western regions.

Norstein can be split into ten territories; Renora, Atlantion, Lesson Nymphere, West Illiatomme, Electrare, Xio Baron, East Illiatomme, MoonRush, Sape Synchrica and Cloudice. The Renora and Atlantion territories both share the western coast, and both contain the majority of citizens. Electrare is named for the Electrare cliffs that run along a three hundred kilometer wide path along the north coast. Xio Baron is a large island to the north, most famous for being a tourist attraction. Lesson Nymphere has a varied climate; in the summer, it gets very moist and humid due to the large amount of water systems present. However, half of these water systems dry out in the autumn and winter months, thus leaving the territory dry and cool. The infamous Ledlow plain is located in East Illiatomme. MoonRush is well-known for being abundant in natural resources such as coal, natural gas and minerals. Both Sape Synchrica and Cloudice share the east coast, and with many coastal cities, the territories are known for being hub towns.

The majority of the citizens of Norstein live in the coastal territories. Few people, with the exception of rural workers or miners, live in the central regions. The capital of Norstein is Vër-Dra, located in the central-west portion of the Renora territory. Vër-Dra is also the most populous city in Norstein. Other major cities include Austravia, Rioro, Nestlore, Draxis, Oroche Falls, Kwès Chun, Sape Corniva and Jÿpaer.
