The Northeastern Patriot is a conservative student-run publication completely funded by the Media Board and Northeastern University. The magazine launched in April 2006, and has taken aim at progressive campus organizations and faculty, in tune with other conservative media.

Though founded by former College Republicans and staffed by many of their members, it is not, nor has ever been affiliated with any political party or group.

Initially, the publication skirted university policies, using the school name without affiliation. In September 2006 the paper came in line as a member of the Student Media Board, making student group funds and the university web server available to it.
