Narrator: "The little toons were busy clearing their line of leaves and broken branches.
Li'l Sneezer and Bookworm often worked together. One day, Bookworm helped Sneezer to a water fountain.
Sneezer felt much better after his long drink, but the Perfectoids were bored.
Perfectoid: "Let's run away!"
Narrator: "Their loads were heavy, and the tethers old. One snapped!"
Perfecto Prep Alumni: "Faster! Faster!"
"Shouted the Perfectoids. A sign read 'Slow steep bends and ravine ahead', but the silly Perfectoids never saw it.
Then, it was too late.
Sneezer arrived at the scene of the disaster. His animator sighed."
Sneezer's Animator: "This was our fault; we didn't secure them properly. We'll have to get help to get them out.
King Acorn will be very annoyed."
Narrator: "And he was."
King Acorn: "You will work in the yards until I can trust you again."
Narrator: "Omega was delighted with Sneezer's dilemma."
Omega: "Fancy not securing your Perfectoids on a hill. They'll come back to spook you and your special nose. Whoo!"
Bookworm: "And who's to say you're not afraid of ghosts?"
Narrator: "Snapped Bookworm."
Omega: "Ghosts? Things that go bump in the night? Rubbish."
Bookworm: "Well, I'll tell you a story that will make your rivets quiver!"
Narrator: "Bookworm Said."
Bookworm: "A long time ago, a little toon was returning home. It was a misty moonlit night. Suddenly, the toon lost control and plunged over the side, into the swamps below.
He was never found again, but many an animator will tell you that when the moon is full, they have seen the little toon trying to get home, but he never reaches the other side.
So what do you think of that, Omega?"
Narrator: "Replied Omega."
Bookworm: "Never mind him, Sneezer. He'd be frightened if he really saw a ghost."
Narrator: "This gave Sneezer's animator an idea."
Sneezer's Animator: "Let's play a trick on Omega!
Narrator: "The next day, he spoke to Omega's animator, who agreed.
Omega's Animator: "We'll do it tonight!"
Narrator: "Omega had to bring Perfectoids to the slate mines, and then bring Perfectoids back.
Omega's animator decided, as part of the plan, to cross the Old Iron Bridge."
Omega: "Haunted bridge, rubbish"!
Narrator: "Snorted Omega."
Omega: "It's as tame as a pet rabbit's!"
Narrator: "But all the same, he kept thinking about Bookworm's story.
When dusk fell, he was keen to leave."
Omega: "If we don't go now, Yakko will take my favorite place in the sheds."
Omega's Animator: "We have to collect our Perfectoids first.
Narrator: "His animator replied.
He could see his plan was working, because Omega was nervous.
When night fell, they set off.
The mists were rising around the Old Iron Bridge.
Omega beeped, and the sound echoed everywhere.
Then, ahead, he saw flickering lights. His animator knew they were only insects that shine brightly at night, but to Omega, they looked like a toon!
Next, his animator secretly threw a rock into the ravine below."
Omega: "It's the ghost! Take me back! Take me back, please!"
Narrator: "When Omega reached the safety of his shed, he closed his eyes tightly."
Omega's Animator: "Spooked, are you, Omega?"
Narrator: "Laughed his animator."
Omega: "No, I'm asleep!"
Narrator: "And Omega refused to open his eyes.
He did though, when he thought his animator wasn't looking, just to make sure that he was still there."
