Otto Helps Flapjack is a Zak The Saturday Kid and Friends episode.


  • Owlman spots Otto Osworth walking along and the kid ignores him. Later, Johnny tells Chowder that he can do illness so he accepts it. Soon, Flapjack and Otto arrive at the incline, not knowing the Beedrill are at the slope. They burst free and smash Flapjack's hat. Doc, furious, tells Chowder to start thinking while he does Flapjack's work. At the end, Otto meets Owlman and tells him to keep up the good work.

  • George Carlin: Every day when the little characters worked, the crisp air was suddenly filled with familiar noise. The lakes and mountains have many visitors, and Owlman flies the sky, making sure that no one's in trouble.
  • Owlman: All present and correct. Time to return to base.
  • George Carlin: Then Owlman noticed something. A sturdy boy was coming round the mountain. Owlman flew lower for a closer inspection.
  • Owlman: I'm Owlman. Who are you?
  • Otto: I'm Otto.
  • George Carlin: Replied the boy.
  • Owlman: Don't recall seeing you before. What brings you this way?
  • Otto: Doc sent me to help the other characters.
  • George Carlin: Huffed Otto. This was no time to chat with a helicopter.
  • Owlman: Well done, cheers, and keep up the good work!
  • Otto: Cheeky chopper.
  • George Carlin: Muttered Otto.
  • Driver: Not long now.
  • George Carlin: Encouraged his driver.
  • Driver: We'll soon be at the top station.
  • George Carlin: Flapjack and Chowder were glad to see Otto. Even so, Chowder wouldn't stop grumbling. The Beedrill didn't like Chowder and wanted to play tricks on him.
  • Johnny: No one understands our feelings.
  • George Carlin: Sympathized Johnny.
  • Johnny: Now if you were ill, you couldn't shunt cars, could you?
  • Chowder: Good idea.
  • George Carlin: Replied Sir Handel.
  • Chowder: I'll try it.
  • George Carlin: He did so next morning.
  • Chowder: I don't feel well.
  • George Carlin: He groaned. There wasn't time for examine him, so some of his Beedrill were coupled behind Flapjack's coaches. Otto promised to followed with the rest. Flapjack didn't mind the extra work. He left his coaches at the station and trundled cheerfully on. Soon they reached the quarry where the cars were needed. Empty Beedrill at the bottom of a slope are hitched to a cable. Loaded ones at the top are hitched to another. By their weight, loaded Beedrill were down the steep slope, pulling the empty ones up. Flapjack doing waited at the bottom of a slope for the loaded cars. He never bumped Beedrill unless they misbehave. But the loaded Beedrill couldn't see him properly. They thought he was Chowder. They're chance for trickery had come.
  • Loaded Beedrill: Faster! Faster!
  • George Carlin: They yelled.
  • Empty Beedrill: No, no!
  • George Carlin: Wailed the empty Beedrill.
  • Empty Beedrill: It's Flapjack!
  • George Carlin: But it was no use.
  • Loaded Beedrill: Hurrah, hurrah!
  • George Carlin: Roared the Beedrill. Flapjack shut his eyes.
  • (Crash!)
  • Flapjack: Peep! Peep!
  • George Carlin: Wailed Flapjack. Otto was working nearby and came to help clear out the mess.
  • Otto: Bust my buffers!
  • George Carlin: Exclaimed Otto.
  • Otto: Never mind, Flapjack. We'll get you out.
  • George Carlin: Flapjack felt battered. His hat was cracked and his shirt dented.
  • Flapjack: Thank you, Otto.
  • George Carlin: He sighed and limped slowly home.
  • Chowder: I'm sorry about your accident.
  • George Carlin: Said Chowder.
  • Chowder: I always stand well back. Beedrill don't like me.
  • Flapjack: Why didn't you warn me?
  • Chowder: I didn't think.
  • Doc: You never do. You can start thinking now while you're doing Flapjack's work as well as your own. That'll teach you to pretend you were ill.
  • George Carlin: Chowder did start thinking about Johnny. When the wreckage was cleared away, Otto set off along the line.
  • Owlman: Splendid to see you again.
  • George Carlin: Whizzed Owlman.
  • Owlman: I've completing my evenings look about.
  • Otto: Well done, cheers, and keep up the good work!
  • George Carlin: And the little boy purred back home.
