We have all been around the same loop. You go looking for answers to that thorny graphics card or driver problem, only to find that to get to the answer you have to trawl through thousands of forums with inaccurate or just plain wrong "answers". No-one checks these forums for accuracy, and why should they. But the mistakes they contain can cost you dearly in wasted time and hardware.
This is an attempt to redress that balance. Get it right, and get people to add stuff and be reviewed by their peers for accuracy. We may get it wrong some of the time, but eventually here it will be right. As the community grows, it will get better.
I am a systems engineer for a large UK university, and between myself and the rest of my team we have a very wide knowledge of PC and server problems and solutions. Not to mention best practices. We will endeavour to create the basis of a wide-ranging and useful community.
