[edit] Origins
Party Quirks is a very common improv game, it is featured on "Whose Line is it Anyway," but likely did not originate there.
[edit] Setup
[edit] Participants
This game is (usually) for 4 improvisationalists, one of which must immediately leave the room.
[edit] Audience Suggestions
The audience will give 3 suggestions for the performers to be. These include identities, occupations, strange characteristics, processes to be going through, and just plain random suggestions that make absolutely no sense.
[edit] Epic Suggestions!
Identities:
- Charles Guiteau
- Moby Dick
Occupations:
- No particularly epic suggestions come to mind... yet.
Strange Characteristics:
- Being made of stew (Suggested multiple times for Stu "Bottle Opener" Ogle)
- Being a human PEZ dispenser
- Being a dainty flower
Processes:
- Undergoing Exponential Decay
- Passing a Kidney Stone
Just Completely Random Suggestions:
- Living on a Prayer
- Before and After
[edit] Rules
The 3 performers will go off to the side of the scene to enter it later. The person who left will be recalled to the room by the chant of PARTY, PARTY, PARTY! Now the other 3 will enter the scene one at a time as if they were arriving at a party, they will then interact with the "host" dropping subtle clues to their identities. The host will then guess who his guests are by addressing them in conversation.
[edit] Variants
Properly named variants of Party Quirks include:
Occasionally the number of guests at the party will be different, or in the case of funeral quirks, the "host" will have to guess the identity of the deceased, usually played by Ryan "T-Rex" Garwood.
