The era of Earth civilization that was marked by the absence of violent warfare beginning with the ratification of the Second UN Charter in 2221 CE. This golden age encompassed many significant developments in science, technology, philosophy, culture, and political institutions. It nurtured the socio-economic atmosphere that made possible the exploration and colonization of the Known Universe. Several dates mark the end of the era: The United Nations ceased to exist with the destruction by Izrail of the Earth’s ecosystem in 2798 CE, and although much of the government at Amundsen-Scott escaped, there was nothing to govern. Political historians, however, mark its end at the Charter Convention of 2290 CE when the era of the Corporate Hegemony began.
