• (We open this episode with the Britt Allcroft Presents logo)
• (Then we see the Thomas and Friends Season 6 intro)
• (After that, we begin the character introduction)
• Alec Baldwin: Thomas is a really useful engine. Here's Percy. He is a very happy engine. James is a magnificent engine. Gordon is the most fastest engine on the Island of Sodor. Henry is long and fast. Here's Edward always here to help. Toby is a different engine. He's a tram engine.
• (A passing by sequence occurs and we begin Percy and The Signal)
• George Carlin: Percy works in the yard at the big station. He loves playing jokes, but they can get him into trouble. One morning, he was very cheeky indeed.
• Percy: Peep peep! Hurry up, Gordon, the train's ready.
• George Carlin: Gordon thought he was late.
• Percy: Ha, ha, ha, ha!
• George Carlin: Laughed Percy and showed him a train of dirty coal cars. Gordon thought how he can pay Percy back for teasing him. Next it was James' turn.
• Percy: Stay in the shed today, James. Sir Topham Hatt will come and see you.
• James: Ah!
• George Carlin: Thought James.
• James: Sir Topham Hatt knows I'm a fine engine. He wants me to pull the special train.
• George Carlin: James' driver and fireman could not make him move. The other engines grumbled dreadfully. They had to do James' work as well as their own. At last, the inspector arrived.
• Inspector: Show a wheel, James. You can't stay here all day.
• James: Sir Topham Hatt told me to stay here. He sent a message this morning.
• Inspector: He did not. How could he? He's away for a week.
• James: Oh.
• George Carlin: Said James.
• James: Oh, where's Percy?
• George Carlin: Percy had wisely disappeared. When Sir Topham Hatt came back, he was cross with James and Percy for causing so much trouble. But the very next day, Percy was still being cheeky.
• Percy: I say, you engines, I'm to take some freight cars to Thomas' junction. Sir Topham Hatt chose me specially. He must know I'm a really useful engine.
• James: More likely, he wants you out of the way.
• George Carlin: Grumbled James. Gordon looked across to James. They were going to play a trick on Percy.
• Gordon: James and I were just speaking about signals at the junction. We can't be too careful about signals, but then I needn't say that to a really useful engine like you, Percy.
• George Carlin: Percy felt flattered.
• James: We've had spoken about backing signals.
• George Carlin: Put in James.
• James: They need extra special care you know. Would you like me to explain?
• Percy: No thank you, James.
• George Carlin: Said Percy.
• Percy: I know all about signals.
• George Carlin: Percy was a little worried.
• Percy: I wonder what backing signals are.
• George Carlin: He thought.
• Percy: Never mind, I'll manage.
• George Carlin: He puffed crossly to his freight cars and felt better. He came to a signal.
• Percy: Bother, it's a danger.
• George Carlin: The signal moved to show line cleared. It's arm moved up instead of down. Percy had never been that sort of signal before.
• Percy: Down means go and up means stop. So upper still must mean go back. I know. It's one of those backing signals.
• Driver: Come on, Percy.
• George Carlin: Said his driver.
• Driver: Off we go. Stop! You're going the wrong way!
• Percy: But it's a backing signal.
• George Carlin: Percy protested and told him about Gordon and James. The driver laughed and explained.
• Percy: Oh, dear.
• George Carlin: Said Percy.
• Percy: Let's start quickly before they see us.
• George Carlin: He was too late. Gordon saw everything.
• (Percy heads his way back to the sheds)
• George Carlin: That night, the big engines talked about signals. They thought the subject was funny. Percy thought they were being very silly.
• (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Gone Fishing)
• Children: (singing) Sometimes it's nice to take some time out. Do what you really want to do. Just to relax and let the world fly by you. Forget your worry, no need to hurry. • Alec Baldwin: Bill and Ben the Tank Engine twins work in the clay mines and quarries near brendam docks. Their work is important but they can be hot and dirty. Sometimes this makes the twins naughty. One morning, they were feeling very naughty indeed.
• Bill: That's my line of cars!
• Alec Baldwin: Huffed Bill.
• Ben: It's not, it's mine!
• Alec Baldwin: Snorted Ben.
• Ben: Yours it's over there.
• Bill: It's mine!
• Ben: It's not!
• Bill: It's mine!
• Ben: It's not!
• Alec Baldwin: Their friend BoCo was worried.
• BoCo: Stop quarreling you two or the only thing you had left to share is...
• (Bill and Ben run into each other and derail)
• BoCo: Trouble.
• Bill: Silly!
• Alec Baldwin: Snapped Bill.
• Ben: Silly yourself!
• Alec Baldwin: Grumbled Ben.
• Sir Topham Hatt: Bill and Ben, behave yourselves.
• Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
• Sir Topham Hatt: It's clear to me that we need another diesel to help out. There's only one available. He's new and key to make an impression.
• BoCo: If I were you.
• Alec Baldwin: Whispered BoCo.
• BoCo: I can back to work right away.
• Alec Baldwin: Meanwhile Sir Topham Hatt was having doubts about his own decision.
• Sir Topham Hatt: I hope the new diesel doesn't cause even more confusion. He's bound to have teething troubles.
• Alec Baldwin: And he was right.
• Derek: Oh, my grease and oil. I wasn't expecting this hill. Oh, what's that?
• (Derek breaks down)
• Alec Baldwin: BoCo came to the rescue.
• Derek: Sorry.
• Alec Baldwin: Said the diesel.
• Derek: I'm all hot and bothered. I've got teething troubles, you know.
• Alec Baldwin: The news soon spread.
• Thomas: Apparently it's teething troubles.
• Alec Baldwin: Confided Thomas to Percy.
• Percy: Hey, you two. This new diesel's got a toothache. Good luck.
• Bill: Why does Percy want to wish us good luck?
• Alec Baldwin: Asked Bill.
• Ben: Because he knows we'll need it. A diesel with a toothache must be the worst diesel of all.
• Alec Baldwin: Then their manager spoke to them.
• Manager: You will take your loads to the docks and rest there tonight. There's a lot of hard work to do tomorrow.
• Alec Baldwin: It was dark when the twins reached the docks. They left the freight cars by the key and scurried off to the shed.
• Duck: You two looked glum.
• Alec Baldwin: Sighed Duck.
• Bill: It's the new diesel's fault.
• Alec Baldwin: Replied Bill.
• Bill: He's got a toothache.
• Duck: He hasn't got a toothache he's got teething troubles. That means he's new and this causes some problems. In his case it's his cooling system.
• Alec Baldwin: Next morning, the twins heard an unfamiliar whistle.
• Bill and Ben: Oh, no! It's the new Diesel!
• Alec Baldwin: And it was.
• Derek: Hello. I'll sort this train out. You take the front and I'll push 'em behind. Ha, ha. What fun.
• Alec Baldwin: All went well as they set off. Then they came to a hill.
• Bill: Come on, come on! Push harder, you silly diesel!
• Alec Baldwin: Shouted Bill. But the diesel couldn't push any harder.
• Derek: (pants) I'm overheating again.
• (Derek breaks down once again)
• Bill: Oh, pah!
• Alec Baldwin: Snorted Bill.
• Driver: You know what?
• Alec Baldwin: Sighed the driver.
• Driver: Let's try and finish the journey anyway. It means we'll have to pull the diesel as well. Can you do it twins?
• Bill and Ben: We'll try.
• Alec Baldwin: And sure enough they could. That night, Sir Topham Hatt came to see them.
• Sir Topham Hatt: Well done, Bill and Ben. I sent the new diesel back to the works. Can you manage alone?
• Bill and Ben: Oh, yes sir.
• Bill: BoCo.
• Alec Baldwin: Whispered Bill.
• Bill: I'm sorry we were rude to you.
• Ben: And...
• Alec Baldwin: Added Ben.
• Ben: The new diesel was really quite friendly.
• Duck: And you know what friends do?
• Alec Baldwin: Murmured Duck.
• Bill and Ben: Know what?
• Duck: They always say good night to each other.
• Alec Baldwin: And so they did, but they still chattered about the diesel and his teething troubles all night long.
• (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Thomas' Anthem)
• Children: (singing) It's Thomas the Tank Engine. Hip, hip, hip, hip, hooray! Chugga-chugga, chugg, chugg Chuff, chuff, chuff. He rides along the way. And when you hear that whistle, It can only be one train. Our favourite little engine, Thomas is his name! Thomas the Tank Engine rolling along, (whistling) All of his friends will be coming along. Thomas, we love you. He's a really useful engine With his heart that's big and strong. He chugga-chugga, chuff-chuffs working hard Helping everyone. Thomas, he has lots of friends And you can be one too. Just clap, clap, clap and sing-along Thomas, we love you. Thomas the Tank Engine rolling along, (whistling) All of his friends will be coming along. Thomas, we love you. There's Gordon and Henry, Edward, James and Toby, Annie and Clarabel.
• Boy: And don't forget Percy!
• Children: (singing) Terence and Bertie, Diesel, Duck and Daisy, Lots more friends for you. He's always up to mischief, That cheeky little train. He chugga-chugga-chuff-chuffs everywhere, He's always playing games. The Fat Controller scolds him, But loves him just the same. Our favourite little engine, Thomas is his name! Thomas the Tank Engine rolling along, (whistling) All of his friends will be coming along. Thomas we love you. • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Trust Thomas)
• George Carlin: Thomas the Tank Engine was feeling bright and cheerful. It was a splendid day.
• Thomas: Good morning.
• George Carlin: He whistled to some cows, but the cows didn't reply.
• Thomas: Never mind.
• George Carlin: Said Thomas.
• Thomas: They're busy with their breakfast.
• George Carlin: Next he saw Bertie.
• Thomas: Hello, Bertie. Care for a race today?
• George Carlin: But all Bertie could say was...
• Bertie: Ouch! That's another hole in the road!
• Thomas: I'm sorry, Bertie.
• George Carlin: Smiled Thomas. Thomas was still in good spirits when Bertie arrived at the next station.
• Thomas: Bad luck, Bertie. Now if you're a steam engine, you would run a repair on reliable rails.
• Bertie: Huh!
• George Carlin: Replied Bertie.
• Bertie: The railway was suppose to deliver the tar to mend the road two weeks ago. You can't trust a thing that runs on rails.
• Thomas: I run on rails. You can trust me, Bertie. I'll see if I can find out what's happened.
• George Carlin: And Thomas puffed away towards the big station. James was snorting about in the yard.
• James: It's too bad!
• George Carlin: He grumbled.
• James: Percy goes to work at the harbour and I do his job, here, there and everywhere! Take that!
• Freight Cars: Ooh!
• George Carlin: Groaned the freight cars.
• Freight Cars: Just you wait, we'll show you!
• George Carlin: Gordon laughed.
• Gordon: I'll tell you what, James. If you pretended to be ill everywhere, you couldn't freight cars here, or go to the quarry there, could you?
• James: What a good idea.
• George Carlin: Agreed James.
• James: Look, here comes Thomas. I'll start pretending now
• George Carlin: Thomas was sorry to see the engines looking miserable
• Thomas: Cheer up.
• George Carlin: He puffed.
• Thomas: It's a beautiful day.
• Gordon: Yes.
• George Carlin: Grumbled Gordon
• Gordon: But not for James.
• Thomas: What's the matter?
• George Carlin: Asked Thomas.
• Gordon: He's sick.
• George Carlin: Replied Gordon.
• James: Yes he is. I mean I am.
• George Carlin: Stuttered James.
• James: I don't feel well at all.
• Thomas: Don't worry.
• George Carlin: Said Thomas kindly.
• Thomas: I'll help out if you're ill.
• George Carlin: Gordon and James sniggered quietly to each other. Some of James' cars were coupled behind Thomas and he steamed away to the quarry. The cars were still cross.
• Freight Cars: We couldn't pay James back for bumping us, so we'll play tricks on Thomas instead. One engine is as good as another.
• George Carlin: But Thomas didn't hear them. He collected all the stone from the quarry and set off back to the junction. Danger lay ahead.
• Freight Cars: Now for our plan!
• George Carlin: Giggled the cars.
• Freight Cars: Go faster, go faster!
• George Carlin: They pushed Thomas over the switches.
• Thomas' Driver: Slow down!
• George Carlin: Called Thomas' driver and applied the brakes.
• (Thomas hits the buffers, and a log snaps apart, sending him floating into another set of buffers)
• George Carlin: Poor Thomas stood dazed and surprised in the muddy pool, as a toad eyed in suspiciously.
• Thomas: Bust my buffers.
• George Carlin: Muttered Thomas.
• Thomas: The day started so well too.
• George Carlin: Duck pulled away the cars, and Edward helped Thomas back to the junction. Suddenly, Thomas remembered the missing tar. He told Edward all about him.
• Edward: That's strange.
• George Carlin: Said Edward.
• Edward: A car full of tar been left in my station. That must be it. Driver will make sure it gets to Bertie now.
• George Carlin: Later, James spoke to Thomas.
• James: I'm sorry about your accident.
• George Carlin: He muttered.
• James: And so is Gordon. We didn't mean to get you into trouble.
• Gordon: No indeed.
• George Carlin: Spluttered Gordon.
• Gordon: A near misunderstanding, Thomas, all's well that ends well.
• George Carlin: Just then Bertie arrived. He looked much more cheerful.
• Bertie: My road's being mended now.
• Thomas: Oh, I am glad.
• George Carlin: Replied Thomas.
• Bertie: Thanks for all you did.
• George Carlin: Added Bertie.
• Bertie: Now I know I can trust an engine especially his name was Thomas.
• George Carlin: Gordon and James puffed silently away to the shed, but Thomas still had company.
• Thomas: Well, well.
• George Carlin: He sighed.
• Thomas: What a day for surprises.
• George Carlin: The toad who was looking forward to arrive home noisly agreed.
• (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Percy's Seaside Trip)
• (Rooster crows)
• Children: (singing) The sun is shining, it's a lovely day. It won't be long before we're on our way. The guard is waiting, flag in hand. He blows his whistle, we're off to sea and sand. The sky is blue, there's not a cloud in sight, So much excitement, didn't sleep all night. Now Percy's rushing trough the countryside, With people waving as we (peep peep) whistle by. Seaside, we're off to the seaside. Ice cream in cones, Candy floss on your nose. Seaside, we're off to the seaside, We're gonna have a lovely day. Just one more hill to climb and we'll be there. Sounds of the seaside start to fill the air. Then someone shouts out excitedly.
• Girl: "Look over there, everybody, I can see the sea!"
• Children: (singing) Seaside, we're off to the seaside, Buckets and spades, all the fairground arcades. Seaside, we're off to the seaside, We're gonna have a lovely day. And when it's cold in wintertime, Still you can be there any time. Just close your eyes, count 1-2-3, Dream your dream and once again be by the sea. Sir Topham Hatt arrives to greet the train. He is so pleased that Percy's right on time. So much excitement, so much glee. We're all together with Percy by the sea. Seaside, we're all at the seaside, Building sandcastles with buckets and spades. Seaside, we're all at the seaside. Oh, what a lovely, lovely, day. Seaside, we're all at the seaside, Picnics and paddling, swimming all day. Seaside, we're all at the seaside, Oh, what a lovely, lovely day. Thank you, Percy, for such a lovely day.
