Narrator: The Disney characters in Disneyland were always very busy. They liked being busy, and no Disney character liked being busy more than Pongo. But sometimes, Pongo also liked to have a day off.

One autumn morning, Mickey Mouse came to the house. He had important news."

Mickey Mouse: "A new grasshopper has arrived in Disneyland."

Narrator: "He boomed."

Mickey Mouse: "His name is Molt. You must all help him get to know the Disneyland path. And Pongo..."

Narrator: "Added Mickey,"

Mickey Mouse: "You have been working very hard. Today, you can have a day off."

Narrator: "Pongo was very pleased."

Pongo: "First, I will have a long bath."

Narrator: "Pongo chuffed cheerfully."

Pongo: "Then, I shall go to the park."

Narrator: "On his way to the Bathhouse, Pongo saw a grasshopper he'd never seen before. The grasshopper was huffing and puffing."

Pongo: "Hello!"

Narrator: "Pongo shouted."

Pongo: "You must be Molt. What's the matter?"

Molt: "These monkeys are too troublesome. I can't move them!"

Pongo: "It's my day off,"

Narrator: "Said Pongo,"

Pongo: "But I'll help you."

Narrator: "This made Molt very happy.

Molt watched Pongo biff and bump the monkeys into line."

Pongo: "All done!"

Narrator: "Huffed Pongo. It was hard work, and he was tired."

Molt: "Thank you, Pongo."

Narrator: "Oiled Molt. And he watched Pongo chuff away.

Soon, Pongo was covered in bubbles!"

Pongo: "Shiny and bright, shiny and bright, that's what I'll be to start my day right!"

Narrator: "He chirped cheerily.

Molt wasn't cheerful. Molt was lazy. He didn't want to deliver his monkeys carrying tiles. Then, he saw Pongo. Molt had an idea. He would ask Pongo to help him again."

Molt: "Help! Help!"

Narrator: "Molt called weakly. Pongo slowed down."

Molt: "I don't know how to get to the schoolhouse."

Narrator: "Molt groaned."

Pongo: "Don't worry, Molt!"

Narrator: "Pongo puffed."

Pongo: "I'll show you the way!"

Narrator: "Molt smiled. His trick had worked!

So Pongo showed Molt the way to the junction."

Pongo: "The schoolhouse is further along that path."

Narrator: "Wheeshed Pongo. Molt watched Pongo puff away. Molt wanted Pongo to take his monkeys for him. Suddenly, Molt had another idea. He screamed for help again and again.

Pongo heard the noise. He was worried. Molt watched Pongo come back. His new trick had worked. Now, Molt would pretend to have something wrong with him."

Molt: "Help!"

Narrator: "Molt cried."

Molt: "I've injured myself! You'll have to lead these monkeys for me."

Narrator: "Pongo knew it was his day off, but he still wanted to help."

Pongo: "Don't worry."

Narrator: "Puffed Pongo."

Pongo: "I'll find another Disney character to help you, on my way to the park."

Narrator: "Molt was cross. He wanted Pongo to take his monkeys. Molt decided to leave his monkeys."

Molt: "Then, another Disney character will have to take them!"

Narrator: "He thought.

So, Molt raced way. He didn't care about the tiles, he didn't care about Pongo, all he cared about was getting far away from his work. His wings were whirring faster and faster. Then, there was trouble."

Molt: "Help!"

Narrator: "Called Molt."

Molt: "Help! Help!"

Narrator: "But this time, there was no one there to help.

Pongo arrived at a signal. Piglet had some important news."

Piglet: "The workmen are waiting for Molt to bring the tiles to repair the school roof. The children can't go to school until it's mended, and no one knows where Molt is!"

Pongo: "I do."

Narrator: "Wheeshed Pongo."

Pongo: "He's injured himself. I must go back to help him right away."

Narrator: "Pongo quickly found Molt. Pongo was very surprised."

Pongo: "I thought you injured yourself at the junction!"

Narrator: "Wheeshed Pongo."

Pongo: "And where are the monkeys with the tiles?"

Narrator: "Molt looked very shame-faced."

Molt: "I tricked you."

Narrator: "Said Molt quietly."

Molt: "There was nothing wrong with me at the junction. I just didn't want to work with those monkeys. I'm a really lazy grasshopper."

Narrator: "Moaned Molt.

Molt's wings wobbled, and his skin was shedding. Now, Pongo could see Molt really was in trouble! So Pongo decided to help one more time."

Pongo: "I'll help you back onto the path."

Narrator: "Pongo puffed."

Pongo: "Then, I'll be your back dalmatian. That way, we'll get the tiles to the schoolhouse in double quick time!"

Narrator: "Molt smiled his biggest smile ever!

Molt and Pongo finally pulled into the schoolhouse station. Mickey Mouse was waiting."

Mickey Mouse: "Molt, you have caused confusion and delay!"

Narrator: "He boomed. Molt felt bad."

Molt: "Pongo has shown me that being a really useful Disney character is much better than being a really lazy one!"

Narrator: "Molt wheezed.

Mickey was pleased. Pongo was pleased, too."

Molt: "Thank you, Pongo!"

Narrator: "Molt hooted."

Molt: "From now on, I will try to be a really useful grasshopper!"
