Pongo, Piglet and the Coal

Narrator: "It was a beautiful morning in Disneyland. Pongo the Dalmatian's white fur sparkled in the sunshine as he walked happily along his route with Abigail and Amelia.

He was feeling very pleased with himself."

Piglet: "Hello, Pongo."

Narrator: "Whistled Piglet."

Piglet: "You look splendid."

Pongo: "Yes, indeed."

Narrator: "Boasted Pongo."

Pongo: "White is the only proper color for a Disney Character."

Friar Tuck: "Oh, I don't know. I like my brown robe."

Narrator: "Said Friar Tuck."

Piglet: "I've always been pink. I wouldn't want to wear any other color either."

Narrator: "Added Piglet."

Pongo: "Well, well, anyway,"

Narrator: "Huffed Pongo."

Pongo: "White is the only color for a - for a really useful Disney character. Everyone knows that!"

Narrator: "Piglet said no more. He just grinned at Friar Tuck.

Later, Pongo was resting when Piglet arrived. A large hopper was giving his pirates coal. Pongo was still being cheeky."

Pongo: "Careful."

Narrator: "He warned."

Pongo: "Watch out with those silly pirates."

Pirates: "Go on, go on, go on!"

Narrator: "Muttered the pirates."

Pongo: "And by the way,"

Narrator: "Went on Pongo."

Pongo: "Those buffers don't look very safe to me."

Narrator: "The last load poured down."

Pongo: "Help! I'm choking!"

Narrator: "Cried Pongo."

Pongo: "Get me out!"

Narrator: "Piglet was worried, but he couldn't help laughing. Pongo's smart white fur was covered in coal dust from head to toe."

Piglet: "Ha, ha!"

Narrator: "Chuckled Piglet."

Piglet: "You don't look really useful now, Pongo. You look very disgraceful."

Pongo: "I'm not disgraceful!"

Narrator: "Choked Pongo."

Pongo: "You did that on purpose. Get me out!"

Narrator: "It took so long to clean Pongo that he wasn't ready in time for his next walk. Friar Tuck had to take Abigail and Amelia."

Abigail: "Poor Pongo."

Narrator: "Whispered Abigail to Amelia. They were most upset.

Pongo was grumpy in the house that night. Friar Tuck thought it a great joke, but Piglet was cross with Pongo for thinking he had made his fur outfit dirty on purpose."

Piglet: "Fancy a really useful white dalmatian like Pongo becoming a disgrace to Mickey Mouse's land."

Narrator: "Next day Pongo was feeling more cheerful as he watched Piglet bring his pirates from the junction. The pirates were heavy and Piglet was tired."

Piglet's Driver: "Have a drink."

Narrator: "Said his driver."

Piglet's Driver: "Then you'll feel better."

Narrator: "The water fountain stood at the end of the siding with the unsafe buffers.

Suddenly, Piglet found he couldn't stop. The buffers didn't stop him either."

Piglet: "Ooh!"

Narrator: "Wailed Piglet."

Piglet: "Help!"

Narrator: "The buffers were broken and Piglet was leg deep in coal. It was time for Pongo to leave. He had seen everything."

Pongo: "Now Piglet has learned his lesson too."

Narrator: "He chuckled to himself.

That night, the two Disney Characters made up their quarrel."

Piglet: "I didn't cause your accident on purpose, Pongo."

Narrator: "Whispered Piglet."

Piglet: "You do know that, don't you?"

Pongo: "Of course."

Narrator: "Replied Pongo."

Pongo: "And I'm sorry I was cheeky. Your pink body looks splendid again too. In future, we'll both be more careful of coal."

Narrator: "Hercules was getting old. His body was worn and he clanked as he walked along. He was taking empty pirates to a market town. The sun shone, birds sang, but Hercules was heading for trouble."

Hercules: "Come on, come on."

Narrator: "He puffed."

Pirates: "Oh! Oh! Oh! Oh!"

Narrator: "Screamed the pirates."

Narrator: "Hercules puffed and clanked. The pirates rattled and screamed.

Some cows were grazing nearby. They were not used to Disney Characters. The noise disturbed them.

As Hercules clanked by, they broke through the fence and ran across the road. A pirate let go and some were left behind.

Hercules felt a jerk but didn't take much notice. He was used to pirates."

Hercules: "Bother those pirates!"

Narrator: "He thought."

Hercules: "Why can't they come quietly?"

Narrator: "He was at the next station before either he or his driver realized what had happened.

When Sir Ector and Baloo heard about the accident, they laughed and boasted.

Sir Ector and Baloo: "Fancy allowing cows to break his load. They wouldn't dare do that to us. We'd show them."

Narrator: "Friar Tuck was cross."

Friar Tuck: "You couldn't help it, Hercules. They've never met cows. I have, and I know the trouble they are."

Narrator: "Some days later, Sir Ector rushed through Hercules' station."

Sir Ector: "Mind the cows! Hurry, hurry, hurry!"

Narrator: "Puffed Sir Ector."

Flowers: "Don't make such a fuss. Don't make such a fuss."

Narrator: "Grumbled his flowers. A long path was ahead. In the distance was a bridge. It seemed to Sir Ector that there was something on the bridge. His driver thought so too."

Sir Ector's Driver: "Whoa, Sir Ector."

Narrator: "He said."

Sir Ector: "Pooh!"

Narrator: "Said Sir Ector."

Sir Ector: "It's only a cow. Shoo! Shoo!"

Narrator: "He moved slowly onto the bridge, but the cow would shoo. She had lost her calf and felt lonely."

Bluebell: "Moo!"

Narrator: "She said sadly. Everyone tried to send her away, but she wouldn't go. Baloo arrived."

Baloo: "What's this? A cow. I'll soon settle her. Be off! Be off!"

Bluebell: "Moo!"

Narrator: "Said the cow. Baloo backed away nervously."

Baloo: "I don't want to hurt her."

Narrator: "At the next station, Baloo's guard told them about the cow and warned the signalman that the line was blocked."

The Porter: "That must be Bluebell."

Narrator: "Said the porter."

The Porter: "Her calf is here, ready to go to market. Piglet will take her along."

Narrator: "At the bridge, Bluebell was very pleased to see her calf again, and the porter led them away."

Baloo and Sir Ector: "Not a word. Keep it dark."

Narrator: "Whispered Sir Ector and Baloo to each other. They felt rather silly. But the story soon spread."

Hercules: "Well, well, well."

Narrator: "Chuckled Hercules."

Hercules: "Two big Disney Characters afraid of a cow."

Sir Ector: "Afraid? Rubbish!"

Narrator: "Said Sir Ector."

Sir Ector: "We didn't want to poor thing to hurt herself by running up against us. We stopped so as not to excite her. You see what I mean, my dear Hercules."

Hercules: "Yes, Sir Ector."

Narrator: "Said Hercules. Sir Ector felt somehow that Hercules saw only too well."

Tod's Chase

Narrator: "One morning, Hercules was waiting to pick up passengers from Pongo."

Hercules: "Peep! Peep! We're late. Where is Pongo? He doesn't usually make us wait."

Hercules' Fireman: "Oh dear. What can the matter be?"

Narrator: "Sang the fireman."

Hercules' Fireman: "Johnny's so long at..."

Hercules' Driver: "Never you mind about Johnny!"

Narrator: "Laughed the driver."

Hercules' Driver: "Just you climb up on top and look for Pongo.

Can you see him?"

Hercules' Fireman: "No."

Narrator: "Replied the fireman."

Hercules' Fireman: "There's Tod Fox in a terroring hurry. No need to bother with him though. Likely, he's on a coach tour or something."

Narrator: "He clambered down."

Tod: "Stop, stop! I've got Pongo's passengers!"

Narrator: "Wailed Tod, roaring up to the gates. It was no good. Hercules was gone."

Tod: "Bother!"

Narrator: "Said Tod."

Tod: "Bother Pongo's fireman not coming to work today. Why did I promise to help the passengers catch their ride?"

Tod's Driver: "That will do, Tod."

Narrator: "Said his driver."

Tod's Driver: "A promise is a promise and we must keep it."

Tod: "I'll catch Hercules or bust."

Narrator: "Said Tod."

Tod: "Oh my feet and tail."

Narrator: "He groaned, toiling up the hill."

Tod: "I'll never be the same fox again. Hurray, hurray! I see him."

Narrator: "Cheered Tod, as he reached the top."

Tod: "Oh, no! Hercules' at the station. No, he's stopped at a crossing. Hurray, hurray!"

Narrator: "Tod tore down the hill."

Passengers: "Well done, Tod!"

Narrator: "Shouted his passengers."

Passengers: "Go it!"

Narrator: "Tod skidded into the yard."

Tod: "Wait! Wait!"

Narrator: "Cried Tod. He was just in time to see Hercules puff away."

Tod: "I'm sorry."

Narrator: "Said Tod."

Passengers: "Never mind."

Narrator: "Said the passengers."

Passengers: "After him quickly. Third time lucky, you know. Do you think we'll catch him at the next station, driver?"

Tod's Driver: "There's a good chance."

Narrator: "Replied the driver."

Tod's Driver: "Our path keeps close to the road, and we can climb hills better than Hercules. I'll just make sure."

Narrator: "He spoke to the stationmaster. Tod and the passengers waited impatiently."

Tod's Driver: "Yes, we'll do it this time."

Narrator: "Said the driver."

Passengers: "Hurray!"

Narrator: "Cried the passengers, as Tod chased after Hercules once more."

Flowers: "This hill is too steep! This hill is too steep!"

Narrator: "Grumbled the flowers, as Hercules snorted in front. They reached the top at last and ran smoothly into the station."

Hercules: "Peep, peep!"

Narrator: "Whistled Hercules."

Hercules: "Get in quickly, please."

Narrator: "The guard blew the whistle, and Hercules' driver looked back. But the flag didn't wave. Then, he heard Tod. Everything seemed to happen at once. And the stationmaster told the guard and driver what had happened."

Hercules: "I'm sorry about the chase, Tod."

Narrator: "Said Hercules."

Tod: "My fault."

Narrator: "Replied Tod."

Tod: "Late at didn't know...about Pongo's passengers."

Hercules: "Goodbye, Tod. We're off."

Narrator: "Whistled Hercules."

Passengers: "Three cheers for Tod!"

Narrator: "Called the passengers. Tod raced back to tell Pongo that all was well."

Pongo: "Thank you, Tod."

Narrator: "Said Pongo."

Pongo: "You're a very good friend indeed."

Saved from Scrap

Narrator: "Mickey Mouse works his Disney Characters hard, but they are very proud when he calls them 'really useful'."

Hercules: "I'm going to the scrapyard today."

Narrator: "Hercules called to Pongo."

Pongo: "What? Already? You're not that old!"

Narrator: "Replied Pongo cheekily. Pongo was only teasing.

The scrapyard is full of rusty old cars and machinery. They are broken into pieces, given to pirates, and Hercules takes them to the steelworks where they are melted down and used again.

Today, there was a surprise waiting for Hercules in the yard. It was a hound dog."

Hercules: "Hello."

Narrator: "Said Hercules."

Hercules: "You're not broken and rusty. What are you doing here?"

Copper: "I'm Copper. They're going to kill me next week."

Hercules: "What a shame."

Narrator: "Said Hercules."

Copper: "My driver says I only need some fur to be as good as new, but my master says I'm old-fashion."

Narrator: "Hercules snorted."

Hercules: "People say I'm old-fashion, but I don't care. Mickey Mouse says I'm a useful man. What work did you do?"

Copper: "My master would send us from farm to farm. We threshed corn, hauled logs and did lots of other work. The children loved to see us."

Narrator: "Copper shut his eyes, remembering."

Copper: "Oh, yes. I like children."

Narrator: "Hercules set off for the station."

Hercules: "Killed, what a shame. Killed, what a shame. I must help Copper, I must!"

Narrator: "He thought of all his friends who like dogs. But strangely, none of them would have room for a hound dog at home."

Hercules: "It's a shame, it's a shame."

Narrator: "He hissed.

Hercules: "Peep, peep! Why didn't I think of him before?"

Narrator: "There, on the platform was the very person."

Grimsby: "Hello, Hercules. You look upset. What's the matter, Charlie?"

Narrator: "He asked the driver."

Hercules' Driver: "There's a hound dog in the scrapyard, Grimsby. He'll be killed next week. Alan-a-Dale says he worked with a better dog."

Hercules: "Do save him, sir. He saws wood and gives children rides."

Grimsby: "We'll see."

Narrator: "Replied Grimsby.

Alan-a-Dale came on Saturday."

Alan-a-Dale: "Grimsby's coming to see you, Copper. Maybe he'll buy you."

Copper: "Do you think he will?"

Narrator: "Asked Copper hopefully."

Alan-a-Dale: "He will when I clean you up."

Narrator: "Grimsby and his two boys arrived that evening. Copper hadn't felt so happy in months. He chuffered about the yard."

Grimsby: "Show you paces, Copper."

Narrator: "Said Grimsby.

Later, he came out of the office smiling."

Grimsby: "I've got him cheap, Alan! Cheap!"

Alan-a-Dale: "Did you hear that, Copper?"

Narrator: "Cried Alan."

Alan-a-Dale: "Grimsby saved you, and you'll live at the vicarage now."

Copper: "Ruff, ruff!"

Narrator: "Barked Copper.

Now, Copper's home is in the vicarage orchard, and he sees Hercules everyday. His fur is spotless, and his ears shine like gold. Copper likes his work, but his happiest day is the church fete.

With a wooden cart attached to him, he chuffers around the orchard, giving rides to children.

Long afterwards, you will see him shut his eyes, remembering."

Copper: "I like children."

Narrator: "He whispers happily."

Old Iron

Narrator: "One day, Donald had to wait at the station till Hercules and his flowers came in. This made him cross."

Donald Duck: "Late again!"

Narrator: "Hercules laughed, and Donald fumed away.

After Donald had finished his work, he went back to the yard and puffed onto the turntable. He was still feeling very bad tempered."

Donald Duck: "Hercules is impossible."

Narrator: "He grumbled to the others."

Donald Duck: "He clanks about like a lot of old iron, and he is so slow he makes us wait!"

Narrator: "Pongo and Piglet were indignant."

Piglet: "Old iron? Slow?"

Pongo: "Why, Hercules could beat you in a race any day!"

Donald Duck: "Really?"

Narrator: "Said Donald."

Donald Duck: "I should like to see him do it!"

Narrator: "Next morning, Donald's driver was suddenly taken ill. He could hardly stand, so the fireman unhooked Donald ready for shunting. Donald was impatient."

Suddenly, the signalman shouted. There was Donald running away down the road."

Signalman: "All traffic halted!"

Narrator: "He announced at last. Then he told the fireman what had happened."

Signalman: "Two boys were standing nearby Donald fiddling with him."

Donald Duck's Fireman: "Phew!"

Signalman: "They ran off when Donald started."

(Phone rings)

Narrator: "The signalman answered the telephone."

Signalman: "Yes. He's here. Right. I'll tell him.

The inspector's coming at once. He wants a shunter's pole and a coil of wire rope."

Donald Duck's Fireman: "What for?"

Narrator: "Wondered the fireman."

Signalman: "Search me! But you'd better get them quickly."

Narrator: "The fireman was ready when Hercules arrived. The inspector saw the pole and the rope."

Inspector: "Good man. Jump on."

Hercules: "We'll catch him, we'll catch him."

Narrator: "Said Hercules. Donald was laughing."

Donald Duck: "What a lark! What a lark!"

Narrator: "He chuckled to himself.

Suddenly he was going faster and faster. He realized that he had no driver."

Donald Duck: "What shall I do? I can't stop! Help! Help!"

Hercules: "We're coming! We're coming!"

Narrator: "Called Hercules.

Hercules was panting up behind with every once of strength he had. At last he caught up with Donald."

Hercules' Driver: "Steady, Hercules!"

Narrator: "Called his driver. The inspector stood in front of Hercules, holding a noose of rope in the crook of the shunter's pole. He was trying to slip it over Donald. The Disney Characters swayed and lurched.

At last!"

Inspector: "Got him!"

Narrator: "He shouted. He pulled the noose tight. Gently braking, Hercules' driver checked the man's speed, and Donald's fireman scrambled across and took control."

Hercules: "So the old iron caught you after all."

Narrator: "Chuckled Hercules."

Donald Duck: "I'm sorry."

Narrator: "Whispered Donald."

Donald Duck: "Thank you for saving me. You were splendid, Hercules."

Hercules: "That's all right."

Narrator: "Replied Hercules. The Disney Characters arrived at the station side by side. Mickey Mouse was waiting."

Mickey Mouse: "A fine piece of work."

Narrator: "He said."

Mickey Mouse: "Donald, you can rest and then take your load. I'm proud of you, Hercules. You shall go to the hospital and have your worn parts healed."

Hercules: "Oh, thank you, sir."

Narrator: "Said Hercules."

Hercules: "It'll be lovely not to clank."

Pongo and Copper

Narrator: "Copper the Hound Dog enjoyed living in the vicarage orchard. Hercules came to see him everyday, but sometimes, Copper didn't have enough work to do."

Copper: "I do like to like to keep busy all the time."

Narrator: "He sighed one day."

Copper: "And I do like company, especially children's company."

Hercules: "Cheer up."

Narrator: "Smiled Hercules."

Hercules: "Mickey Mouse has work for you at his new harbor. I'm to take you to meet Pongo today."

Copper: "Oh!"

Narrator: "Exclaimed Copper happily."

Copper: "A harbor! The seaside! Children! That will be lovely!"

Narrator: "Pongo was on his way to the harbor with a load of metal pilings. There were needed to make the harbor wall firm and safe."

Hercules: "Hello, Pongo."

Narrator: "Said Hercules."

Hercules: "This is Copper, a friend of mine. He's a hound dog."

Narrator: "Pongo eyed the newcomer doubtfully."

Pongo: "A what dog?"

Narrator: "He asked."

Copper: "A hound dog."

Narrator: "Exclaimed Copper."

Copper: "I walk on hunting trails instead of roads. Can you take me to the harbor, please? Mickey has a job for me."

Pongo: "Yes, of course."

Narrator: "Replied Pongo. But he was still puzzled.

Workmen gave Copper's cart to Pongo, and soon, they were ready to start their journey."

Copper: "I'm glad Mickey Mouse needs me."

Narrator: "Called Copper."

Copper: "I don't have enough to do sometimes, you know. Although, I can work anywhere. In orchards, on farms, in scrapyards, even at harbors."

Pongo: "But you don't run on the roads."

Narrator: "Puffed Pongo."

Copper: "I'm a hound dog. I don't need roads to be useful."

Narrator: "Replied Copper."

Copper: "You wait and see."

Narrator: "When they reached the harbor, they found everything in confusion. Pirates were blocking the roads, and stone slabs lay everywhere."

Pongo's Driver: "We must get these pilings past."

Narrator: "Said Pongo's driver."

Pongo's Driver: "They are essential. Copper, we need you to drag them around this mess."

Copper: "Just the sort of job I like."

Narrator: "Replied Copper."

Copper: "Now you'll see, Pongo. I'll soon show you what hound dogs can do."

Narrator: "Copper was as good as his word. He dragged the pilings clear with chains, and towed them into position."

Copper: "Who needs roads?"

Narrator: "He muttered cheerfully to himself.

Later, Pongo brought Abigail and Amelia to meet him. Pongo was most impressed."

Pongo: "Now I understand how useful a hound dog can be."

Narrator: "The ducks had lots of children. Copper gave them rides along the harbor. He liked this best of all."

Abigail: "He's very kind."

Narrator: "Said Abigail."

Amelia: "He reminds me of Pongo."

Narrator: "Added Amelia.

Everyone was sorry when it was time for Copper to go. Pongo took him to the junction.

A small tear came into Copper's eye. Pongo pretended not to see. He barked gaily to make Copper happy."

Pongo: "I'll come and see you if I can."

Narrator: "He promised."

Pongo: "Grimsby will look after you, and there's plenty of work for you now at the orchard. But we may need you again at the harbor someday."

Copper: "That will be wonderful."

Narrator: "Said Copper.

That evening, Copper stood remembering his new friend, Pongo, the harbor and most of all, the children. Then he went happily to sleep in the shed at the bottom of the orchard."

Piglet and the Signal

Narrator: "Piglet works in the yard at the big station.

He loves playing jokes, but they can get him into trouble.

One morning, he was very cheeky indeed."

Piglet: "Hurry up, Sir Ector, the flowers are ready!"

Narrator: "Sir Ector thought he was late."

Piglet: "Ha ha ha!"

Narrator: "Laughed Piglet, and showed him a line of dirty pirates.

Sir Ector thought how to pay Piglet out.

Next, it was Donald's turn."

Piglet: "Stay in the house today, Donald. Mickey Mouse will come and see you."

Donald Duck: "Ah,"

Narrator: "Thought Donald."

Donald Duck: "Mickey knows I'm a fine duck. He wants me to deliver a special."

Narrator: "Donald's driver and fireman could not make him move. The other Disney Characters grumbled dreadfully. They had to do Donald's work as well as their own.

At last, Captain Greer arrived."

Captain Greer: "Show a leg, Donald. You can't stay here all day."

Donald Duck: "Mickey told me to stay here. He sent a message this morning."

Captain Greer: "He did not. How could he? He's away for a week."

Donald Duck: "Oh!"

Narrator: "Said Donald."

Donald Duck: "Oh! Where's Piglet?"

Narrator: "Piglet had wisely disappeared.

When Mickey came back, he did see Donald, and Piglet too. Both Disney Characters wished he hadn't.

One morning, Piglet was careless."

Piglet: "I say, you Disney Characters, I'm to take some pirates to Pongo's junction. Mickey chose me especially. He must know I'm a really useful piglet."

Donald Duck: "More likely, he wants you out the way."

Narrator: "Grunted Donald.

Sir Ector looked across to Donald. They were making a plan."

Sir Ector: "Donald and I were just speaking about signals at the junction. We can't be too careful about signals, but then, I needn't say that to a really useful piglet like you, Piglet."

Narrator: "Piglet felt flattered."

Donald Duck: "We have spoken of backing signals."

Narrator: "Put in Donald."

Donald Duck: "They need extra special care, you know. Would you like me to explain?"

Piglet: "No thank you, Donald."

Narrator: "Said Piglet."

Piglet: "I know all about signals."

Narrator: "Piglet was a little worried."

Piglet: "I wonder what backing signals are."

Narrator: "He thought."

Piglet: "Never mind, I'll manage."

Narrator: "He puffed crossly to his pirates, and felt better.

He came to a signal."

Piglet: "Bother! It's at 'Danger'."

Narrator: "The signal moved to show 'Line Clear'. Its arm moved up, instead of down. Piglet had never seen that sort of signal before."

Piglet: "Down means 'Go', and up means 'Stop', so upper still must mean 'Go Back'. I know! It's one of those backing signals."

Piglet's Driver: "Come on, Piglet!"

Narrator: "Said his driver."

Piglet's Driver: "Off we go. Stop! You're going the wrong way!"

Piglet: "But it's a backing signal!"

Narrator: "Piglet protested, and told him about Sir Ector and Donald. The driver laughed, and explained."

Piglet: "Oh, dear."

Narrator: "Said Piglet."

Piglet: "Let's start quickly before they see us."

Narrator: "He was too late. Sir Ector saw everything.

That night, the big Disney Characters talked about signals.

They thought the subject was funny. Piglet thought they were being very silly."

Jiminy Takes Charge

Piglet: "Do you know what?"

Narrator: "Asked Piglet."

Sir Ector: "What?"

Narrator: "Grunted Sir Ector."

Piglet: "Do you know what?"

Sir Ector: "Silly!"

Narrator: "Said Sir Ector."

Sir Ector: "Of course I don't know what if you don't tell me what what is!"

Piglet: "Mickey Mouse says that the work in the yard is too heavy for me. He's getting stronger Disney Character to help me."

Donald Duck: "Rubbish!"

Narrator: "Said Donald."

Donald Duck: "Any Disney Character can do it! If you work more and chatter less, this yard would be a sweeter, a better and a happier place!"

Narrator: "Piglet went off to fetch some flowers."

Piglet: "That stupid old signal!"

Narrator: "He thought. He was remembering the time he missed understood a signal and gone backwards instead of forwards."

Piglet: "No one listens to me now. They think I'm a silly little piglet and order me about. I'll show them, I'll show them."

Narrator: "But he didn't know how.

But the end of the afternoon, he felt tired and unhappy. He brought some flowers to the station."

Mickey Mouse: "Hello, Piglet."

Narrator: "Said Mickey."

Mickey Mouse: "You look tired."

Piglet: "Yes, sir. I am sir. I don't know if I'm standing on my head or my feet."

Mickey Mouse: "You look the right way up to me."

Narrator: "Laughed Mickey."

Mickey Mouse: "Cheer up. The new Disney Character is stronger than you and can properly do the work alone. Would you like to help build my new harbor? Pongo and Friar Tuck will help too."

Piglet: "Oh yes, sir. Thank you, sir."

Narrator: "The new Disney Character arrived."

Mickey Mouse: "What's your name?"

Narrator: "Asked Mickey."

Jiminy Cricket: "Montague, sir, but I'm usually called Jiminy Cricket. They say I waddle. I don't really, sir, but I like Jiminy better than Montague."

Mickey Mouse: "Good. Jiminy it shall be.

Here, Piglet, show Jiminy around."

Narrator: "The two Disney Characters went off together. Soon, they were very busy.

Donald, Sir Ector and Baloo watched Jiminy quietly doing his work."

Baloo: "He seems a simple sort of cricket."

Donald Duck: "We'll have some fun and order him about."

Baloo, Sir Ector and Donald Duck: (Quacking noises) "Wheesh!"

Narrator: "Smoke billowed everywhere.

Piglet was cross, but Jiminy took no notice."

Jiminy Cricket: "They'll get tired of it soon. Do they tell you to do things, Piglet?"

Piglet: "Yes, they do!"

Narrator: "Answered Piglet."

Jiminy Cricket: "Right!"

Narrator: "Said Jiminy."

Jiminy Cricket: "We'll soon stop that nonsense."

Narrator: "He whispered something."

Jiminy Cricket: "We'll do it later."

Narrator: "Mickey Mouse was look forward to hot buttered toast for tea at home. Suddenly, he heard an extraordinary noise."

Baloo, Sir Ector and Donald Duck: "Wheesh!" (Snorting noises)

Mickey Mouse: "Bother!"

Narrator: "He said, and hurried to the yard.

Jiminy and Piglet sat outside the house refusing to let the Disney Characters in, Sir Ector, Donald and Baloo were furious."

(Sir Ector, Donald and Baloo shout and call out loudly)

Mickey Mouse: "Stop that noise!"

Narrator: "Bellowed Mickey."

Sir Ector: "They won't let us in!"

Narrator: "Hissed Sir Ector."

Mickey Mouse: "Jiminy, explain this behavior."

Jiminy Cricket: "Beg pardon, sir, but I'm an official conscience. We do our work without fuss, but begging your pardon, sir. Piglet and I would be glad if you would inform these, um, Disney Characters that we only take orders from you."

(Donald and Sir Ector call out loudly)

Mickey Mouse: "Silence!"

Narrator: "Snapped Mickey."

Mickey Mouse: "Piglet and Jiminy, I am please with your work today, but not with your behavior tonight. You have caused a disturbance!"

Narrator: "Sir Ector, Baloo and Donald sniggered."

Mickey Mouse: "As for you!"

Narrator: "Thundered Mickey."

Mickey Mouse: "You've been worse! You made the disturbance! Jiminy is quite right. This is my land, and I give the orders."

Narrator: "After Piglet went away, Jiminy was left to manage alone. He did so, easily."
