Two posters played a role in the Duke lacrosse case. They are sometimes mistaken for each other.
The first poster is sometimes referred to as "the CrimeStoppers poster", since it was produced by Corporal David Addison and offered a cash reward for information leading to an arrest, money to be paid by Durham CrimeStoppers. Two versions of this poster were distributed; the first presumed guilt by stating "The victim was sodomized, raped, assaulted and robbed" without noting that these were uncorroborated allegations by the alleged victim. A copy of the poster is located here in PDF format.
The second is sometimes referred to as the "vigilante" poster.
