NOTE: Chillicothe Constitution Tribune of January 21, 1933 reports that Wolfe was born in 1896 on a farm near Jamesport MO, moved to Kansas while very young, but did not take up wrestling until 1917 ... Said to have won a camp championship in a Kentucky cantonment during WWI ... Became a YMCA instructor in Kansas City after the war and began wrestling pro ... Said to have lost to just two men in all that time: Charles Fisher of Missouri University three years ago in Chillicothe and Charles (Midget) Fischer at Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas last year, in a bout for the lightheavyweight championship of the world ... "Wolfe has saved his money and is successful in business in Kansas City where he owns his home. He has two children, a boy and a girl. The boy, though 11 years old, has never seen Wolfe wrestle. 'He will never learn the game,' Wolfe says. 'It is too hard a life.'"
