BULL OLSON, WRESTLING DEMON, TO FEATURE BIG ATHLETIC SHOW (The Lima OH Sunday News, March 24, 1918)
Jack Spencer, the well known boxing and wrestling promoter, has just closed an engagement with the K.G. Barkoot World's Greatest Shows, which are wintering at Lima Driving Park. Spencer will be manager of the Athletic Show, one of the principal attractions on the grounds. The proprietors feel fortunate in having lined up a man so well known to the sporting fraternity.
Spencer promises to have a great line-up for his Athletic Show, featuring Bull Olson, the Wrestling Demon, who has a great record. Olson promises to throw any man who goes to the mat with him. Madam LaBelle, champion woman wrestler of America, is also another feature. Marie Fayette challenges the world as a woman boxer and Billie Cole, who is clever in the ring game, is known as "The Pride of Canada" at 122 pounds. Many other stars are on Spencer's program.
Daily exhibitions in the arts of boxing and wrestling will be given by Spencer's company, many of whom have already arrived in the city to enter training for the season.
