In 2017-2018, kids' cable channel Qubo will go through a major overhaul, adding about 20 new shows and receiving a currently unidentified programming block featuring two new hosts.
New shows[]
While the channel is owned by Ion and airs shows distributed by Corus Entertainment, Scholastic, and NBCUniversal, assorted programming will be added coming from WildBrain and Mattel Creations, who will now co-own Qubo with the four current companies, and additional parts of Corus' portfolio. The addition of many of these shows marks the second time a NBC-owned network will acquire shows from PBS, the first being the Universal Kids channel when it was known as Sprout (which no longer airs such shows, except one).
