Narrator: "It was springtime in Ponyville. The sun was shining, and the birds were singing. All the animals love this time of year. Rarity thought the town had never look beautiful.
But that night, there was a big and blustery storm. High winds swept across the town. Trees were blown down. A water tower fell over. And the roof blew right off Igneous Rock Pie's farm.
Rarity was very pleased to be safe and warm in her cozy house. She could hear the wind outside.
But the next morning, Rarity could not believe her eyes. The storm had made a terrible mess.
Igneous Rock Pie was looking at the damaged barn."
Igneous Rock Pie: "The baby calves will be cold at night. I miss fix the roof right away."
Narrator: "But Igneous Rock Pie didn't have any timber for the roof. So he telephoned Hoity Toity.
Hoity Toity came to see Rarity."
Hoity Toity: "The storm blew the roof off of Igneous Rock Pie's barn."
Narrator: "He said."
Hoity Toity: "You must take him some timber so it can be fixed."
Rarity: "Yes, sir."
Narrator: "Said Rarity. Rarity steamed over to the timber yards.
She walked up to the timber wagons, and raced off to Igneous Rock Pie's as fast as she could.
But the storm had caused lots of damage to the roads. Workmen and animals were clearing branches and rocks from the roads. Rarity wanted to go quickly, but she couldn't go at all."
Narrator: "Said Rarity crossly. Gummy and the workmen were trying to move the tree, but moving it was taking a long time."
Rarity: "Hurry up!"
Narrator: "Rarity puffed impatiently."
Rarity: "You must work harder!"
Narrator: "And she blew her whistle. Gummy was working as fast as he could. At last, he pulled the tree off the track. But Rarity didn't say thank you to Trevor. All she said was..."
Rarity: "About time!"
Narrator: "Every time she came across workmen clearing the track, she blew her whistle and some dust. This made the workmen cross, but Rarity thought it made them work harder.
Then Rarity came across a fallen water tower. It had crashed onto her path."
Rarity: "Oh, no!"
Narrator: "She cried. Trixie was helping the workmen push the tower off the road. The tower was very heavy. Rarity decided to boss Trixie too."
Rarity: "Hurry up!"
Narrator: "She wheeshed, and blew her whistle as loud as she could."
Trixie: "Not if you ask like that!"
Narrator: "Sniffed Trixie crossly."
Rarity: "I've got an urgent delivery."
Narrator: "Said Rarity. But Trixie didn't listen. She simply went back to work. Rarity blew her whistle again. But the more she blew her whistle, the slower Trixie seemed to go. Rarity thought she would never get to Igneous Rock Pie's.
The skies were darkening, and the night was on its way.
Spike arrived bringing more supplies."
Narrator: "Spike tooted. Rarity complained about Trixie."
Rarity: "She won't do one thing I'd tell her."
Spike: "That's because you're a big bossy head."
Narrator: "Laughed Spike."
Spike: "You should try asking nicely for a change."
Narrator: "Rarity didn't like being called a bossy head. And she didn't want to ask nicely. But it would be nighttime soon. And the baby calves still didn't have a roof over their heads. So Rarity took a deep breath."
Rarity: "I'm sorry I was rude, but can you help me get this timber to Igneous Rock Pie's? Please? It's to help the baby calves."
Narrator: "Trixie smiled."
Trixie: "Why certainly."
Narrator: "She puffed."
Trixie: "I'll get your path cleared in no time."
Narrator: "Rarity was surprised. Spike was right. Asking nicely was just like magic. Trixie pushed with all her puff. The tower was heavy. But with a mighty heave, the path was cleared."
Rarity: "Thank you!"
Narrator: "Cried Rarity, and she steamed on as fast as she could.
It was nearly bedtime. Rarity knew the baby calves will be getting cold. So whenever there was something on a path, she took a deep breath and said please and thank you.
At last, Rarity arrived at Igneous Rock Pie's. And the timber was quickly unloaded. The barn was soon repaired. And the baby calves snuggled down on their nice soft hay."
Igneous Rock Pie: "Thank you, Rarity."
Narrator: "Said Farmer McColl."
Igneous Rock Pie: "The calves will be nice and warm now."
Narrator: "Rarity was pleased she'd arrived on time. Asking nicely was all she had to do."
