This is our new Wiki about teaching and reading and writing poetry, specificially for high school students. Our students will read classic poetry and relate it to their world while learning to infer meaning. They will research related topics and themes found in the poetry, find other poems with similar themes and forms, bring in music and art that relates to the poety, and write imitations of the works. In addition they will communicate with other students in other classes and, yes, even other high schools in other states about their work. Enjoy our contribution to the world of poetry and teenagers.
