Robert Alan "Bobby" Durst (born 1943) is an American Children's Author and Artist. He is a son of the late New York Real Estate Seymour Durst and Brother of Commercial Developer Douglas Durst.
One of four Children, Durst grew up in Scarsdale, New York and attended Scarsdale High School. At age 7, Durst's Mother loved his Illustrations of New York City, Celebrities and Steam Trains, that he told Robert to use his imagination to write a Story and even Draw them.
In 1973, he made his first Children's Book "Jesus is in us all", in which he wrote and illustrated. It was published by Random House and was an instant success and millions of copies are sold. He later published "Steam Trains of the 1920s", "New York, New York", "Hollywood Stars", "Golden Age of Transportation", "Titanic" and "Glenbrook Railway".
In the 1980s, Durst worked frequently with Walt Disney Animation Studios as a Storyboard Artist.
