Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith Chapter IX: Counsel With Yoda
Counsel With Yoda
The Jedi Temple appears for the first time in the film, and has now been given a main entrance. This is the same miniature built for Episode I, now modified to include the Temple's base. The path leading up to it is known as the Processional Way, and the four statues that flank the steps are of the Four Masters who founded the Temple some 4,000 before.
Olana Chion is the first Jedi to leave the briefing room. Her character was developed by Ian Tapley, "Master Starkeiller" and Billy Buehler as part of the What's the Story? feature on The Official Site. She first appeared in Jedi Apprentice: The Fight for Truth. The last to leave is Koffi Arana, who is ultimately killed by Darth Vader in Star Wars: Purge.
Saleucami is mentioned here, whose fall occurs in the Republic: The Siege of Saleucami story-arc, which also features Jedi Master Quinlan Vos—referred to here by Obi-Wan as "Master Vos", reported to be moving his troops to Boz Pity, a world first seen in Star Wars: Obsession. This is the first time Vos has appeared in any form in the films, although an extra at a café in Mos Espa in Episode I was retroactively identified as Vos—and in actual fact, the extra's likeness served as a basis for the character in the first place—and his Padawan, Aayla Secura appears in the last two films of the prequel trilogy. Further, Quinlan was set to appear in the Order 66 montage, being killed when a Juggernaut opened fire on his own turbo-tank. However, the scene never moved beyond the animatic stage, though it does appear in the comic adaptation. To add to the tale, Vos is found to survive the attack in Republic: The Hidden Enemy.
