Transcript

  • (We open this episode with the Thomas Season 7 intro)
  • (After that, we begin the character introduction)
  • Alec Baldwin: Thomas is the number one blue engine. Percy is a really useful engine. James is a magnificent engine. Gordon is the most fastest engine on the Island of Sodor. Henry is long and fast. Here's Edward always here to help.
  • (A passing by sequence occurs and we begin Salty's Secret)
  • Alec Baldwin: All the engines on the Island of Sodor love their work. But sometimes there was too much work. That's what Sir Topham Hatt brings new engines to the island. Salty the Dockyard Diesel is one of these engines. He loves to tell tales of the sea.
  • Salty: We heave until the old favor quite the tide. Arrgh, it's good to be useful.
  • Alec Baldwin: Salty was excited about coming to the Island of Sodor. Islands are surrounded by the sea. Salty loves the sea. Soon Salty arrived at his new job.
  • Salty: Ahoy, mateys. Salty, pride of the seven seas. I'm the new diesel and I'm here to give you some help.
  • Alec Baldwin: Bill and Ben didn't think they needed any help, especially from a diesel.
  • Mavis: Welcome to Center Island Quarry.
  • Alec Baldwin: Mavis said proudly. Salty looked all around. Everywhere he looked, he saw nothing but rocks.
  • Salty: A quarry?!
  • Alec Baldwin: He cried.
  • Salty: There must be some mistake. I'm a dockyard diesel.
  • Mavis: You're a quarry diesel now.
  • Alec Baldwin: Mavis said. And she explained that they had to complete an important job for Sir Topham Hatt. Salty was sad that he wouldn't be working by the sea. But he knew what it meant to be a really useful engine and he sent to work at once.
  • Salty: Ah well.
  • Alec Baldwin: Salty said.
  • Salty: At least they're be trucks.
  • Mavis: You better mind them.
  • Alec Baldwin: Mavis said.
  • Mavis: They can be a bother.
  • Bill: He won't last five minutes.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Bill.
  • Ben: Those trucks will trip him up soon enough.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Ben. But to Bill and Ben surprised, the trucks seem to give Salty no trouble at all.
  • Salty: Yo-ho-ho and the bucket of prawns the tiller spins and the captain yawns. Yo-ho-ho and the bucket of prawns the tiller spins.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sang Salty.
  • Trucks: And the captain yawns.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sang the trucks. Thanks to Salty, Sir Topham Hatt's important job was almost done. Bill and Ben were surprised and a little jealous.
  • Ben: Here comes Mr. Show Off.
  • Alec Baldwin: Grouched Ben.
  • Mavis: You have to admit he's got a neck with those trucks.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Mavis.
  • Bill: Driver says he'll board the boats off his stories.
  • Alec Baldwin: Huffed Bill. But Salty didn't say a word. He didn't come near the shed. Mavis was worried. She rolled along side and asked him what he was doing on his own.
  • Salty: Oh I thought I might I catch a bit of sea breeze.
  • Mavis: You really miss the sea, don't you?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked Mavis.
  • Salty: Aye.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Salty.
  • Salty: I do.
  • Alec Baldwin: But Salty knew the quarry work was important. The next day he tried to show Bill and Ben his secret with the trucks.
  • Salty: I like working to a musical rhythm.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Salty: And so did the trucks. Why don't you give it a try, me harties?
  • Bill: Here we go, here we go, here we go.
  • Ben: No we don't, no we don't, no we don't don't don't.
  • Alec Baldwin: But try as they might, Bill and Ben could not move the trucks the way Salty could. Later that day, Sir Topham Hatt came to the quarry. He was surprised the job had been completed.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Well done.
  • Mavis: It was Salty.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Mavis.
  • Mavis: We couldn't have done it without him.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Then I've got a bigger job for you, Salty.
  • Salty: Aye-aye, Sir. What kind of quarry is it?
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Quarry?
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I'm sending you to Brendam Docks.
  • Salty: The docks!
  • Alec Baldwin: Salty explained.
  • Salty: The docks are hard by the sea! Oh thank you Sir!
  • Alec Baldwin: He said.
  • Salty: This reminds me of the time in bimini.
  • Alec Baldwin: And Salty was telling stories again. Salty loves Brendam Docks. He gets more work done then  three engines and feels really useful. And only the trucks know his secrets.
  • Salty: Yo-ho-ho and the bucket of prawns the tiller spins and the captain yawns.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Salty)
  • Men: (singing) There's a dockside Diesel we know well, who can spin a yarn, who can tell a tale, he loves the sea and the ships that sail, Salty is his name. He works so hard, he's very very proud, his friends all love him being around, when the sun goes down they'll gather round, for a tale or a song of the sea.
  • Children: (singing) On with the sailor's song, follow on, Salty's song, follow the leader home, follow the leader home. Salty, tell us another one, Salty, spin us another one, Salty, one more story will do, Salty, oh Salty, we'll always follow you.
  • Men: (singing) Everyone knows the troublesome trucks, push their luck, get the engines stuck. But someone knows just what to do, Salty is his name. When he rolls along, he hums his song, a pretty little song, let me tag along. And his rhythm makes them follow on, homeward bound we go.
  • Children: (singing) On with the sailor's song, follow on, Salty's song, follow the leader home, follow the leader home. Salty, sing us another one, Salty, spin us another one, Salty, one more story will do, Salty, oh Salty, We'll always follow you, Salty, tell us another one, Salty, spin us another one, Salty, tell us another one do, Salty, oh Salty, we'll always follow you, we'll always follow you, we'll always follow you.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Thomas and The Jet Engine)
  • Alec Baldwin: Gordon is a very proud steam engine. He's the fastest engine on the Island of Sodor. He loves speeding along his line with the wind blowing across his funnel.
  • Gordon's Driver: You've broken the record again.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said his driver.
  • Gordon: I'm the fastest!
  • Alec Baldwin: Boasted Gordon. But not all the engines were impressed.
  • James: Speed isn't everything.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said James smugly.
  • Thomas: But being reliable and useful is.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas.
  • Gordon: You slow engines will never understand.
  • Alec Baldwin: Snorted Gordon.
  • Gordon: Because you'll never go as fast as me.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sir Topham Hatt arrived with news of a special for Thomas.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: I want you to collect the jet engine and take it to the airfield.
  • Percy: What's a jet engine?
  • Alec Baldwin: Asked Percy?
  • Sir Topham Hatt: A jet engine goes forward by pushing hot air out of its back.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sir Topham Hatt explained.
  • Thomas: Just like you blow up a balloon and let it go.
  • Alec Baldwin: Added Thomas.
  • Thomas: It's very fast.
  • Alec Baldwin: Thomas likes making special deliveries for Sir Topham Hatt. It makes him feel special. But secretly, he wished he could go as fast as Gordon, just once. Thomas arrived at the docks, excited to see the jet engine. It was shiny and modern and Thomas had never seen anything like it. He couldn't wait to start his journey, but Cranky was taking his time.
  • Thomas: Hurry up!
  • Alec Baldwin: Puffed Thomas.
  • Thomas: This is a special special.
  • Alec Baldwin: Cranky did not like being told what to do especially by an engine. He became so cranky, that he was careless with his hook. His hook knocked the switch and the switch started the jet engine and the engine began to wind. The wind got louder and louder and louder.
  • Cranky: Uh, oh.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Cranky. Before he could say anything else, the jet engine was rocketing Thomas up the track.
  • Thomas: Whoa!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Thomas. The driver tried to put on the brakes, but Thomas couldn't stop.
  • Thomas: Whoa boy!
  • Alec Baldwin: The stationmaster called ahead.
  • Signalman: Clear the lines, it's a runaway train!
  • Alec Baldwin: Signals were changed and points were switched. Thomas had never been so exciting. Thomas flew by James and rocketed past Henry and raced by Percy. They were amazed. Bertie was excited when he saw Thomas flying down the track.
  • Bertie: Want a race, Thomas?
  • Alec Baldwin: Beeped Bertie.
  • Bertie: Ah, never mind.
  • Alec Baldwin: No one had ever seen an engine go so fast. Gordon had no idea that Thomas racing along the main line.
  • Gordon: I am the fastest.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Gordon proudly.
  • Thomas: Hi, Gordon. Bye Gordon.
  • Alec Baldwin: Gordon could not believe what he had seen. At last, the jet engine ran out of fuel and Thomas was back under his own power. He steamed gently back into Knapford Station.
  • Thomas: Sorry for overtaking you back there, Gordon.
  • Alec Baldwin: Teased Thomas.
  • Gordon: Overtake me? I didn't notice.
  • Alec Baldwin: Gordon huffed.
  • Henry: You didn't notice the fastest engine on the Island of Sodor?
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Henry.
  • Thomas: Yes, I am the fastest.
  • Alec Baldwin: Puffed Thomas. Percy felt a little sorry for Gordon.
  • Percy: Gordon doesn't have to go as fast as a jet engine. He's a steam engine.
  • James: But he's still full of hot air.
  • Alec Baldwin: Whistled James and Gordon wheeshed away.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Night Train)
  • Children: (singing) See how the night sky glows, See the light from the night train, The fire glow from the night train. On down the line he blows... Woooooo-oooooo!!! On down the line he blows. All through the night he goes. Hear the sound of the night train, The chugga-chug-chugg of the night train. Hear how his whistle blows... Woooooo-oooooo!!! Hear how his whistle blows. Pulling, heaving, big engine breathing. Pistons pushing side by side. Driver checking, gauging, peering, Fireman stoking by his side. On down the line they go. Fast track for the mail train, Clear away for the post train. Non-stop all night they go... Woooooo-oooooo!!! Non-stop all night they go. See how the night sky glows. Clear ahead for the night train, Green light for the night train. On down the track he blows... Woooooo-oooooo!!! On down the track he blows. Dawn is breaking, sleepy town waking. Children waving, watch him go. Freight trains, milk trains, Boat trains waiting, Stand aside to let him go. There in the morning glow The sunlight on the night train, Silhouettes the night train. On down the line he blows... Woooooo-oooooo!!! There in the morning glow. On down the line he blows Hear the sound of the night train, The chugga-chug-chugg of the night train. Hear how his whistle blows... Woooooo-oooooo!!! Hear how his whistle blows. On down the line he blows, On down the line he blows.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin No Sleep For Cranky)
  • Alec Baldwin: Brendam docks is one of the busiest dockyards on all the Island of Sodor. It's where ships and engines and cranes alike are busy day and night, every day of the year. But poor Cranky the Crane never gets a nap. He never gets to sleep early, he works all the time and his only company are the gulls that settle on his arm. So Cranky is always cranky.
  • Salty: Ahoy there, Cranky.
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried Salty.
  • Cranky: Where have you been!?
  • Alec Baldwin: Snapped Cranky.
  • Salty: And a good day to you capn.
  • Alec Baldwin: Bill and Ben arrive for work full of mischief.
  • Cranky: Hurry up!
  • Alec Baldwin: Snapped Cranky.
  • Cranky: I haven't got all day.
  • Bill: You're no fun.
  • Alec Baldwin: Grumbled Bill.
  • Cranky: You wouldn't be fun if you were stuck up here.
  • Alec Baldwin: Snapped Cranky.
  • Bill: So that's why you're cranky.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Bill.
  • Ben: You're lonely.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Ben.
  • Cranky: I'm not!
  • Alec Baldwin: Cranky cranked.
  • Salty: So it's company you'd be needing.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Salty.
  • Salty: Reminds me of a lonely old bank's lighthouse keeper.
  • Cranky: Not another one of your stories.
  • Alec Baldwin: Cried Cranky.
  • Bill and Ben: Oh please, Salty.
  • Alec Baldwin: They chimed.
  • Bill and Ben: We haven't heard it.
  • Salty: Thus in the middle of the wee naughty storm.
  • Alec Baldwin: Salty began.
  • Salty: A likes of which he sees once in a lifetime.
  • Alec Baldwin: This made Cranky very cranky. So cranky that he swung his arm around and dropped the pipes onto the tracks instead of the trucks.
  • Cranky: Whoops!
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Cranky meekly.
  • Salty: You blown the main down, matey.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Salty. The engines were trapped.
  • Bill and Ben: You're gonna get into trouble.
  • Alec Baldwin: Sang Bill and Ben. Sir Topham Hatt was in his office being measured for his new suit. When he heard the news, he left inmediately for the docks. Sir Topham Hatt knew that any delay at the docks could cause trouble.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You had made a terrible mess, Cranky.
  • Alec Baldwin: He said sternly.
  • Cranky: I'm sorry, sir.
  • Alec Baldwin: Cranky whispered.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: You engines will have to stay here tonight until Harvey clears up this mess in the morning.
  • Alec Baldwin: Cranky's heart sank as Salty uttered those faithful words.
  • Salty: It reminds me of a story. It was a bitter cold winter. The brave little ship was stuck until the ice melted the next spring. He barely made it round the cape after a hundred scary days at sea without a scratch. He sailed into port and crashed his bout in 50 feet from my buffers. Luckily no one was hurt.
  • Cranky: Except my ears.
  • Alec Baldwin: Wailed Cranky. Salty spent all night telling tales of powerful storms, daring rescues and brave little ships. And when the sun rose, he was still talking and talking and talking.
  • Cranky: I can't take anymore.
  • Alec Baldwin: Groaned Cranky. Harvey the Crane Engine arrived.
  • Harvey: Sir Topham Hatt sent me to help clear away this mess.
  • Alec Baldwin: He puffed proudly. Cranky was so pleased the engines will be going soon, he forgot to be cranky.
  • Cranky: I'll never misbehave again.
  • Alec Baldwin: He promised.
  • Cranky: As long as I don't have to listen to anymore of Salty's stories.
  • Alec Baldwin: And after Harvey and the workmen had cleared the wreckage, Cranky worked hard all day. He carefully loaded the trucks, helped speed the engines on their way and he said please and thank you.
  • Thomas: This is new.
  • Alec Baldwin: Puffed Thomas. But he had spoken too soon. Cranky couldn't help himself.
  • Percy: It was nice while it lasted.
  • Alec Baldwin: Said Percy and all the engines laughed. But Cranky it was still cranky.
  • (Another passing by sequence occurs and we begin Down By The Docks)
