Narrator: "The TV characters in TV Land look forward to Halloween. They love Mayor Adam West's fireworks, and the children dressing up as wizards and witches.

They also love Edd's spooky stories."

Edd: "They say that on Halloween, the ghost returns to the smelters looking for his lost 'whoo, whoo' whistle."

TV Characters: "Ooh, aah, spooky!"

Narrator: "The TV characters said, all shivering a little.

Later, Mayor West arrived.

Mayor Adam West: "RS Mr. Conductor, Bart and Spike, I have a special job for you."

Narrator: "He said."

Mayor Adam West: "You are to collect some scrap from the smelters yard tonight."

Bart: "On Halloween?"

Mayor Adam West: "Don't worry. You'll be back in time for the fireworks."

RS Mr. Conductor: "Bart isn't worried about missing the fireworks."

Narrator: "Teased RS Mr. Conductor."

RS Mr. Conductor: "He's a scaredy boy."

Bart: "I am not!"

Narrator: "Called Bart. But he was, a little.

At the smelters, all Bart could think about was Edd's ghost.

RS Mr. Conductor knew Bart was scared. So he teased him even more."

RS Mr. Conductor: "What's that up there?"

Narrator: "RS Mr. Conductor squeaked."

RS Mr. Conductor: "Is it a spook?"

Bart: "It's just a piece of twisted scrap."

Narrator: "Bart said nervously."

Bart: "Isn't it?"

Narrator: "RS Mr. Conductor was having fun. He kept on teasing Bart."

RS Mr. Conductor: "Careful the ghost doesn't get you."

Narrator: "RS Mr. Conductor said."

Bart: "There's no such thing as ghosts!"

Narrator: "Snapped Bart.

Spike felt sorry for Bart."

Spike: "Nobody's brave all the time."

Narrator: "Said Spike."

Bart: "But I'm not a scaredy boy!"

Narrator: "Bart insisted.

The job was nearly complete."

Yard Manager: "Well done."

Narrator: "The yard manager said."

Yard Manager: "Now I'll need one character to finish up."

Narrator: "Spike wanted to pay RS Mr. Conductor back for all his teasing."

Spike: "Please, sir."

Narrator: "He said."

Spike: "I'm sure RS Mr. Conductor wouldn't mind stay."

RS Mr. Conductor: "Of course not."

Narrator: "RS Mr. Conductor boasted."

RS Mr. Conductor: "I'm not a scaredy conductor."

Narrator: "So Spike and Bart left."

When RS Mr. Conductor was by himself, every sound and every shadow was spooky. He was beginning to feel very scared."

RS Mr. Conductor: "There's no such thing as ghosts."

Narrator: "He said nervously."

RS Mr. Conductor: "Who's there?"

Narrator: "RS Mr. Conductor was so busy looking for ghosts, he didn't watch where he was going.

The chains felt like ghost fingers."

RS Mr. Conductor: "Something's got me!"

Narrator: "RS Mr. Conductor blew gold dust and set off an old steam whistle."

(Old whistle blows)

RS Mr. Conductor: "The g-g-ghost whistle!"

Narrator: "Said RS Mr. Conductor, and he raced away as fast as his feet could carry him."

RS Mr. Conductor: "The ghost is after me!"

Spike: "It was naughty of RS Mr. Conductor to tease you, Bart."

Narrator: "Said Spike."

Bart: "He was only playing."

Narrator: "Said Bart."

Bart: "I hope he hurries up. I wouldn't want him to be late for the fireworks."

RS Mr. Conductor: "He's after me!"

Spike: "I don't think he'll be late."

Narrator: "Said Spike.

Spike and Bart joined the other TV characters for the fireworks."

Bart: "Where's RS Mr. Conductor?"

Narrator: "Bart asked."

Bart: "He'll miss all the fun."

Spike: "It would serve him right after all his teasing."

Narrator: "Spike said. But Bart was worried. He went to look for his friend.

He found RS Mr. Conductor all alone in the house."

Bart: "Are you all right, RS Mr. Conductor?"

Narrator: "He said."

RS Mr. Conductor: "Yes. I'm sorry I teased you, Bart."

Narrator: "RS Mr. Conductor said."

RS Mr. Conductor: "Spike was right. We all feel scared sometimes."

Bart: "And we all have to say sorry sometimes."

Narrator: "Said his friend."

Bart: "So come on, RS Mr. Conductor, we can watch the fireworks just as well from here."

Narrator: "And he was right."
