The purpose of ScienceNotes is to collect and collaborate on writing simple math and science texts for kids from 5th grade to senior year in high school. The purpose of this wiki is to create a one-stop reference site for teaching math related subjects on the net. It is different from the pages at Wolfram or Wikipedia covering math and science topics in the sense that the information in this page is meant to be pedagogical in nature - and hence much more elementary at some levels and much more detailed at others. Also, in the place of just providing a "web" of pages that are meshed with each other via hyperlinks, the purpose of this wiki is to also create "set syllabi" - providing some linearity among listed topics to aid learning.

The aim of the program is to harness the knowledge of hundreds of advanced professionals and teachers at various levels to create a uniform platform for learning excellence.
