Shane Schools operates in Japan, Taiwan, China and South Korea. It is also known as Global Village in North America and Australia.
It is a private language school that promotes British hegemony. Despite huge financial loses, it somehow still keeps itself in business. This is common with government-corporate partnerships that formed in the 1990s. Federal governments will agree to form a trust with a corporate language school in order to promote its foreign policy and hegemonization abroad.
Similar government trusts were created in the early days of industrialization such as the Cotton Ginny Trust in the United States.
