Class System 1.0

This Class system affects the player in several ways. Each class has 5 Primary skills and 5 Secondary skills. Primary skills gain much faster than the other skills and can be gained all the way to 100% regardless of the player's level. Secondary skills gain at the usual rate, but can still be trained up to 100% regardless of the player's level. All other skills gain at the usual rate and start with a skill cap of 50% and a skillsum cap of 200.0. Each time a player levels up their skill caps raise by 2 and the skillsum cap by 20. So that at level 25, the character may reach grand master status in up to 7 of their non-class skills. In addition to the skill cap bonus given as player level up, classes also boost certain stat caps as the player levels up.

Comments

I kind of like the idea of having a skill cap for non-class skills. Even after they have reached max level. So you can't learn every non-class skill, but you get to choose which skills you want to try to get to 100%. So at level 1 your skill cap could be around 200 and it goes up 10 (or higher) every level. So at level 25 of a upgrade race you will have a non-class skill cap of 700. -Hogosha
I also like that Idea...so lets plan on that...50.0 cap on individual non-class skills and a 200.0 cap on the sum of all non-class skills at level 0. However i think a player should be able to max out their skills on their starting race. Players shouldn't be forced to upgrade just to GM a few non-class skills. The upgrade race levels should affect the players stats, resistances, and special abilities only. - Nacht
