Sheep On The Loose is the fifteenth episode of the fifth season of Shining Time Station. It aired on PBS Kids on December 18, 1998. This is the first episode to feature a Theodore Tugboat episode as the second story.

  • Sheep are invading Shining Time Station, and there's no hope left for the YTV characters to defend. Luckily, Shaun, Timmy, Bitzer and Shirley arrive to see Stacy, Harry and Billy. On the other hand, Schemer, Schemee and The Greaser Dogs try to shave the sheep. The Harbor Master, a friend of Mr. Conductors 1 and 2, also drops by.

  • Man: Reach for the steam, reach for the whistle, going the railing road. Reach for the words, reach for the story, follow the rainbow sun. To a Shining Time Station, where dreams can come true, waiting there for you.

  • Jade: Awesome!
  • Buena Girl: This is going to be so Buena!
  • Alex: We're psyched to hear it.
  • Peter: Have you heard about a ram?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Of course, Peter. It happened to Percy and a ram. Let me explain.
  • (Mr. Conductor 2 blows his whistle and Baa! starts)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: In summer, the Island of Sodor gleams in the sun, and every station is filled with flowers. Percy had been working at the docks all day and was tired of the smell of fish.
  • Driver: Phew. Come on, Percy.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said his driver.
  • Driver: Time to go home.
  • Percy: Please sir, can I have a washdown first?
  • Driver: Sorry, Percy, there isn't time. Sir Topham Hatt was waiting for us at the sheds.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: There is to be a festival of flowers.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Announced Sir Topham Hatt.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: This sign saying "Best Dressed Station" will be awarded to the winner. Please help with the arrangements.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: The engines were excited.
  • Thomas: My favorite station is Ffarquahar.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said Thomas.
  • Toby: Mine is Maithwaite.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said Toby.
  • Toby: Percy, what's yours?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Percy was too tired to think properly.
  • Percy: The docks.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: He murmured.
  • Thomas: Ha!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Sniffed Thomas.
  • Thomas: We can tell.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Toby laughed.
  • Toby: The docks are filled with fish, not flowers.
  • Percy: All right then. Alresdale's End.
  • Toby: That's my home.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Replied Toby.
  • Percy: That's why I like it, especially when you're there not here saying I'm silly. Good night.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Next morning, Percy was proud to be sparkling again. His train of freight cars were being loaded with vegetables and flowers.
  • Driver: These are for Maithwaite.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said his driver.
  • Driver: They'll display them on the platform.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: On the way, Percy saw Harold.
  • Percy: Why is Harold buzzing about?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: He thought.
  • Percy: I haven't time for a race today.
  • Driver: What's that?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said his driver.
  • Driver: Why bless me, it's a ram.
  • Percy: Now we're being late! I've shouldn't know that Harold is trying to tell us something.
  • Ram: Baa!
  • Fireman: I've got just a ticket to get him off the track.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Cried the fireman.
  • Fireman: Food.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: He found some cabbage leaves. The ram chomped happily away.
  • Percy: Please can we go now?
  • Ram: Baa!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: When Percy arrived at the station, his driver told the stationmaster what had happened.
  • Stationmaster: I've heard about this ram. He's always hungry.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: A little while later, the station was decked with flowers.
  • Percy: Maithwaite will definitely win first prize.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Decided Percy. He left his coaches and went to a siding where no one could see him.
  • Percy: (yawns) Time for a snooze.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: He thought. But it wasn't.
  • Driver: We better see what all that noise is about.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said his driver. Percy was shocked. Flowers were scattered everywhere.
  • Driver: It's that ram. He's made of meal out of the station too.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Then there was trouble.
  • Passengers: We can't get in to the waiting room!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: The passengers cried.
  • Stationmaster: Why not?
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Asked the stationmaster.
  • Passengers: The ram won't let us.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Everyone looked at the ram and the ram looked at them.
  • Driver: He's not alone.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Explained Percy's driver.
  • Boys: Let us out!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Begged the boys.
  • Boys: We're sorry.
  • Stationmaster: Well, look at that!
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Said the stationmaster.
  • Stationmaster: The boys are the culprits not the ram. He was just making sure they did know more damage.
  • Boys: We thought it would be fun but it wasn't. We'll put everything back.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: A few days later, Sir Topham Hatt invited some of the engines at Maithwaite, winner of the Best Dressed Station award.
  • Percy: I'm sorry, Toby.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Whispered Percy.
  • Toby: You made the right choice.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Then Sir Topham Hatt made an announcement.
  • Sir Topham Hatt: There is one more prize for our good friend the ram. Here it is. And I'll eat my hat if you don't like it.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Then Harold landed. The wind from his blades blew Sir Topham Hatt's hat off.
  • Ram: Baa! Baa!
  • Sir Topham Hatt: Well, seems I wouldn't be able to eat my hat even if I had to.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: Everyone laughed and the only sound from the ram was a condented hiccup.
  • Ram: Hic.
  • (Baa! ends)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: So remember, rams can be hungry.
  • Rikochet: I see.
  • Flea: The Flea knows you're leaving, right?
  • The Conductors: Yep.
  • (The Conductors disappear)
  • Ash: We'll be helping you.
  • Shaun: Excellent.
  • (Inside the Jukebox)
  • Tito: Sheep on the station?!
  • Didi: That's wonderful!
  • Tex: Ye know about Baa Baa Black Sheep.
  • Rex: It's a song.
  • Grace: Let's all do it in a band.
  • Tito: I'll sing it. A one, a two, a one, two, three, four.
  • (Tito sings Baa Baa Black Sheep)
  • Tito: Baa, baa, black sheep Have you any wool? Yes, sir! Yes, sir! Three bags full. One for my master One for my dame One for the little boy who lives down the lane Baa, baa, black sheep Have you any wool? Yes, sir! Yes, sir! Three bags full.
  • (Baa Baa Black Sheep ends)
  • (Meanwhile, Schemer and Schemee are with The Greaser Dogs)
  • Schemer: Ah, time for some sheep shaving.
  • Schemee: Indeed.
  • Cliff: Rancid will be so proud at how we do.
  • Lube: Exactly.
  • Shriek: Let's straighten things out.
  • (We find Mr. Conductor 2 with Kat and Ana)
  • Kat: Donald's song is about a small female duck named Dilly.
  • Ana: Guide us to the Anything Tunnel.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: As a pleasure.
  • (We zoom to the Anything Tunnel and Donald's Duck starts)
  • Children (singing): I found a quacker in my tender. She was very, very tame. But she quacked all night and through the day. She was driving me insane. My driver and my fireman tried everything they know to shoo the quacker away from me but she did not want to go. The quacker clearly loves me was impossible to nab. So now we have befriended her. She rides inside my cab. She quacks in stations big and small. She quacks at people too. Now everyone calls her Donald's Duck but i call her my quackeroo. She makes me so happy with her little ways. So happy, it's true. Now everyone calls her Donald's Duck but i call her my quackeroo. Quacking here, quacking there. She is quacking everywhere. Quack, quack, choo, choo, choo. She's my little quackeroo. She's quacking here and there. She's quacking everywhere. Quack, quack, choo, choo, choo. She's my quackeroo. Now everybody loves her. They love to hear her quack. But when we have to say goodbye, they ask when she'll be back. She's captured everybody's heart. She knows just what to do. Now everyone calls her Donald's Duck but she's my quackeroo. She makes me so happy with her little ways. So happy, it's true. Now everyone calls her Donald's Duck but i call her my quackeroo. Quacking here, quacking there. She's quacking everywhere. Quack, quack, choo, choo, choo. She's my little quackeroo. She's quacking here and there. She's quacking everywhere. Quack, quack, choo, choo, choo. She's my quackeroo. She's my quackeroo, she's my quackeroo.
  • (Dilly quacking)
  • (Donald's whistle toots)
  • (Donald's Duck ends)
  • Mr. Conductor 2: So you see, it's easy to have a duck in tow.
  • Ozzy: That's good.
  • Drix: Look, here comes The Harbor Master!
  • (The Harbor Master arrives)
  • Harbor Master: What's up, everyone?
  • Janna: You're here to tell us a Theodore Tugboat story.
  • Hope: You have a nice whistle.
  • Harbor Master: Yes indeed, Hope. It's like Mr. Conductor 1's and Mr. Conductor 2's.
  • Bart: Wow.
  • Lisa: Did Theodore get to be a vegetable?
  • Harbor Master: Of course, Lisa. He wished to be one. Let me explain.
  • (The Harbor Master blows his whistle and Theodore The Vegetable starts)
  • Harbor Master: It seems like Theodore and Hank were always thinking about the day they would be able to go to the wide open ocean beyond the harbor. That's when they have their own wonderful "V" words, in bright golden letters, just like Emily the vigorous or George the valiant or Foduck the virgilant. And of course there were also thinking about what they're "V" words might be. Theodore liked vaulable even very vaulable, Hank prefered volcano. Theodore knew it could be a while before either of them could earn enough to be given their own "V" words. After all the most important step before being awarded a "V" was knowing how to pull a ship. Theodore had pulled barges before and they've both done practice pulls with Emily but neither of them had ever pulled any real ships by themselves. It was time for the morning meeting but none of the other tugs were there. The Dispatcher seemed worried he looked at Hank then at Theodore and then back around at the busy harbour.
  • Dispatcher: Let's see.
  • Harbor Master: He said.
  • Dispatcher: Emily's still out on the ocean she's supposed be back very soon.
  • Harbor Master: George is towing Tex the Oil Rig down the coast so he won't be back for a few days and Foduck, Foduck is busy moving ships anchored in the middle of the harbor.
  • Dispatcher: Well.
  • Harbor Master: He sighed.
  • Dispatcher: That means we have a big problem. We have a cargo ship arriving soon tugboats.
  • Harbor Master: He said.
  • Dispatcher: Her name is Julia and there just happens to be room for her today at her favorite dock, but with all the "V" tugs away.
  • Harbor Master: Continued the Dispatcher.
  • Dispatcher: There's no one to pull her in.
  • Hank: Theodore.
  • Harbor Master: Whispered Hank. The Dispatcher kept looking around as if he hoped Emily would magically appear.
  • Dispatcher: Well.
  • Harbor Master: He said not very happy.
  • Dispatcher: I guess that means...tomorrow, I guess tomorrow will be a very busy day tugboats. That's all for now.
  • Harbor Master: Hank whispered again to Theodore.
  • Hank: Theodore, this is our big chance. You and I can bring in that big cargo ship.
  • Harbor Master: Hank was so excited he finding it hard to keep his voice down.
  • Theodore: Hank.
  • Harbor Master: Said Theodore.
  • Theodore: I'm not a puller, not yet anyway.
  • Hank: Well you want to be one, don't you, Theodore?
  • Harbor Master: Replied Hank.
  • Theodore: Yes.
  • Harbor Master: Said Theodore. But Hank was still talking.
  • Hank: And the Dispatcher said just the other day that you're doing a great job pulling barges. I'm sure he'll let you try it. Come on, ask him, ask him.
  • Dispatcher: What's all this about?
  • Harbor Master: Said the Dispatcher suddenly.
  • Hank: Theodore can pull.
  • Harbor Master: Said Hank.
  • Hank: He's been practicing a lot.
  • Harbor Master: The Dispatcher turned to Theodore.
  • Dispatcher: Theodore, do you think you're ready to pull?
  • Theodore: Oh, my.
  • Harbor Master: Thought Theodore.
  • Theodore: What's Hank started this time?
  • Harbor Master: So almost before he knew what had happened there was Theodore sailing out of the mouth of the harbor with Hank. Sure enough, they were on their way to meet Julia the Cargo Ship.
  • Hank: How does it feel to be the tug in charge?
  • Harbor Master: Asked Hank. Theodore still wasn't sure if he knew what to feel, not very sure at all.
  • Hank: We'd better think, Theodore.
  • Harbor Master: Hank continued.
  • Hank: After this, you'll get your "V" for sure. How about voyager off to all the seas in the whole wide world? And I'll be Hank the Volcano! Roar!
  • Harbor Master: Said Hank. But all Theodore could think about was being the tug in charge. Hank was sure there wouldn't be any problems.
  • Hank: You won't be alone, Theodore.
  • Harbor Master: He called.
  • Hank: I'll be helping you.
  • Harbor Master: Well, for some reason, this made Theodore feel even less sure about the whole thing.
  • Theodore: Hank, you forgot to tuck in your anchor again.
  • Harbor Master: He said.
  • Hank: That's what Emily and Foduck are always saying.
  • Harbor Master: Said Hank.
  • Hank: You see, Theodore? You're already a great tug in charge.
  • Harbor Master: Well, Theodore couldn't help smiling at his friend. Hank just wouldn't give up, would he?
  • Theodore: Well.
  • Harbor Master: Said Theodore.
  • Theodore: I guess I should at least try. Maybe it will be okay, I hope.
  • Harbor Master: So off they went again, and again they started thinking of "V" words, volcano, voyager. They knew that this would turn out to be quite a day, the day that Theodore Tugboat would pull his first ship. Soon Theodore and Hank had arrived at the mouth of the harbor close to the mighty ocean. Julia the Cargo Ship was just arriving; she looked very big, very very big. She also looked unfriendly, all of the sudden, Theodore's doubts returned. The huge ship was stared down at him.
  • Theodore: Hello.
  • Harbor Master: Said Theodore.
  • Theodore: I mean, uh, how do you do?
  • Harbor Master: Julia didn't answer. Theodore tried again.
  • Theodore: My name is Theodore and this is my good friend Hank. We're here to take you to your favorite dock. Theodore couldn't think of anything else to say so he just waited. Finally, Julia said...
  • Julia: Fine. Pushers go to the back.
  • Harbor Master: Hank and Theodore looked at each other. And then at Julia again.
  • Theodore: Thank you, Julia.
  • Harbor Master: Said Theodore, who always tried to be very polite.
  • Theodore: But I'm, I'm your puller today.
  • Harbor Master: Well, Julia was not impressed. She thought Theodore was just a little tug.
  • Theodore: I've pulled before.
  • Harbor Master: Said Theodore, trying to make Julia feel better.
  • Julia: And what have you pulled before?
  • Harbor Master: Asked Julia.
  • Theodore: Ah, well, ah, barges mostly.
  • Harbor Master: Replied Theodore.
  • Harbor Master: Now Julia wasn't sure that Theodore could be a puller, but she knew it was important to get the fresh vegetables she was carrying unloaded. And after all it was her favorite dock that was open today. She looked way down again at the two tugboats.
  • Julia: Well, I suppose I'll have to at least let you try.
  • Hank: Hooray!
  • Harbor Master: Shouted Hank.
  • Julia: But I hope you won't make any mistakes or I'll have to complain.
  • Theodore: Oh yes, I understand.
  • Harbor Master: Said Theodore bravely. But inside, he knew that if Julia complaied it was sure to hurt his chances of being given his "V" word and being able to go out into the ocean.
  • Hank: Let's get to work, Theodore.
  • Harbor Master: Called Hank.
  • Julia: I'm waiting.
  • Harbor Master: Said Julia. Theodore started off back into the big harbor. He found he really did like how you could see everything when you were in front, and he felt very important leading such a big cargo ship into the big harbor. He even gave a little toot-toot to Hank just like the tug in charge does to signal.
  • Hank: All clear, carry on.
  • Harbor Master: Just then, Pearl the Pilot Boat arrived to help guide the ship safely through the busiest part of the harbor. But with Pearl, there Theodore began to worry again. He wanted to make sure he did everything just right and the pilot boat always watched very carefully, after all that's their job.
  • Pearl: Well, Theodore.
  • Harbor Master: Said Pearl.
  • Pearl: Your first pull, is it?
  • Theodore: Oh, yes, ma'am.
  • Harbor Master: Answered Theodore.
  • Pearl: Will you arrive on time?
  • Harbor Master: Asked Pearl. Theodore looked around, Hank was in position.
  • Pearl: Well, everything's fine, I guess. We'll be there in no time.
  • Harbor Master: He said. Pearl went to check on Hank. Willie's island in the middle of the harbor was just coming into view.
  • Julia: We'd better start turning.
  • Harbor Master: Julia said to Theodore.
  • Theodore: The turn, the time, being the tug in charge, there's just so much to remember.
  • Harbor Master: Theodore thought. Theodore was getting closer and closer to Willie's island.
  • Julia: Turn.
  • Harbor Master: Said Julia again. But this wasn't the way Theodore had practiced with Emily, they always turned a little closer to the island. That was because sometimes other ships were coming around the other way. Theodore knew he had to give them lots of room.
  • Pearl: Careful, Theodore, careful.
  • Harbor Master: Said Pearl. But now Theodore wasn't sure what he should do, maybe the others were right. After all it was only his first pull. The island was getting closer and closer to, Theodore knew that Julia would be upset with him for not turning when she wanted him to. But then he remembered he was the tug in charge. Suddenly, Theodore knew what he had to do. He continued on Julia was so worried she couldn't say anything. Then, at just the right moment, Theodore gave one quick toot to Hank that was the signal to turn now. The two tugs began to swing around the island.
  • Julia: Much too close.
  • Harbor Master: Thought Julia. Just as they were rounding the bend, there was a ship heading towards them! Theodore tooted to Hank.
  • Theodore: Stop turning!
  • Harbor Master: And Hank tooted two times to say yes. Well, it's a very good thing that Theodore waited to turn just what he did. The two ships passed with just enough room to be safe. If he had turned any sooner, there might have been a terrible collison. Julia was silent.
  • Theodore: She must be wishing that Emily was here instead of me.
  • Harbor Master: Thought Theodore sadly, and he moved on. As they moved farther and farther, Theodore became sadder and sadder. By now he was sure he would never get to be a puller again.
  • Theodore: That's Emily tooting.
  • Harbor Master: Thought Theodore.
  • Theodore: She must be back from her trip now she could take over.
  • Harbor Master: Oh, that made Theodore feel much better. He looked up at Julia.
  • Julia: You know, for a moment back there.
  • Harbor Master: Julia said.
  • Julia: I thought all of my vegetables might become a tossed salad, but you did turned it just the right time after all. You're doing well.
  • Theodore: I am?
  • Harbor Master: Asked Theodore. Suddenly, he wasn't so happy about Emily returning. He was just beginning to think he could finish the pull job.
  • Emily: Hi, Theodore.
  • Harbor Master: Said Emily.
  • Emily: When did you get a puller?
  • Harbor Master: She asked.
  • Theodore: Uh, just now I mean today.
  • Harbor Master: Theodore said quietly. He was trying not to let Julia hear him. So he whispered to Emily.
  • Theodore: It's because there were no tugs around. I guess now that's you're here. You should be the tug in charge.
  • Julia: I think this tugboat is doing a fine job of pulling.
  • Harbor Master: Said Julia. Well, Emily was very happy for her good friend. Theodore.
  • Emily: Of course he is.
  • Harbor Master: She said.
  • Theodore: Do you think this will mean I can be a "V" tug, Emily?
  • Harbor Master: He asked.
  • Emily: Someday.
  • Harbor Master: Laughed Emily. And off she went. That night, Hank and Theodore couldn't stop talking about their big job.
  • Hank: And Julia's cargo was very important.
  • Harbor Master: Hank was saying.
  • Hank: She was carrying carrots and lettuce and bags and bags of broccoli.
  • Emily: You know, Theodore.
  • Harbor Master: Interrupted Emily.
  • Emily: If you were to get your "V" word for your job today, I know just what word he would be.
  • Theodore: What?
  • Harbor Master: Asked Theodore. He knew Emily could always think of such great words.
  • Emily: Theodore the Vegetable.
  • Harbor Master: Laughed Emily. All the other tugboats laughed too, and one by one they went off to sleep. All except for Theodore. That night he stayed awake a little while longer. He couldn't stop thinking about the next time he'd be the tug in charge here in the big harbor.
  • (Theodore The Vegetable ends)
  • Harbor Master: So that's how vegetables go in one style at all.
  • Sakura: Thank you for hearing that.
  • Madison: You sure are a storyteller.
  • Mr. Conductor 1: Yes he is.
  • Mr. Conductor 2: We're glad to help.
  • Ed: That's one way to hear.
  • Double D: Friendships will never last.
  • (They both high 5 each other as we conclude this episode)
  • (We show the outro with the train from the same opening)
  • (While the end credits roll, the Timmy Time theme song plays)
